  • Check the package and make sure you have all of the parts listed and decide upon the appropriate location for your product.
  • This product contains glass please take care with fitting or handing to prevent personal injury or damage to the product.
  • The specification plate shown on this appliance displays all the necessary identification information for ordering replacement parts.
  • If you sell the appliance, give it away, or leave it behind when you move house, please ensure that you pass on this manual so that the new owner can become familiar with the appliance and its safety warnings.

Before you start

  • WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE MICROWAVE WHEN EMPTY. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL CAUSE THE MICROWAVE TO FAIL AND WILL INVALIDATE YOUR GUARANTEE.

  • Do not use a knife to open the boxes as this may damage the contents.

  • Make sure you have all of the parts listed. Check all of the packaging as components may be concealed; do not dispose of packaging until you have located all of the parts.
  • When you are ready to start make sure you have the right tools to hand, plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly.
  • Don’t rush, read the instructions first and familiarise yourself with the sequence before you begin.

  • This appliance must not be used with an external timer, time switch or a separate remote control system.
  • Before using the appliance for the first time, remove all packaging and clean all parts. Please see the details given in the “Care and Maintenance” section.

  • WARNING: The microwave oven is intended for heating food and beverages. Drying of clothing and heating of warming pads, slippers, sponges, damp cloths and similar items may lead to risk of injury, ignition or fire.
  • To reduce the risk of fire, burns, electric shock, and injury to persons or overexposure to microwave energy when using this appliance, please follow basic safety precautions, including the following:
  • WARNING: Liquids or other food must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to explode.
  • Do not attempt to start the oven when its door is open; otherwise you may be exposed to harmful microwave energy. Safety locks should not be disabled or tampered with.
  • Do not use this appliance outdoors, in bathrooms or humid environments or in places where it can get wet.
  • WARNING: The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. Care should be taken to avoid touching heating elements.
  • Children under 8 years of age shall be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • CAUTION: The cooking process has to be supervised. A short term cooking process has to be supervised continuously.
  • Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass, since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.
  • The appliance must not be installed behind a decorative door as this can cause overheating of the appliance.
  • Do not leave this appliance unattended while it is in use.
  • Use gloves while taking any kind of heated food out of the microwave oven.
  • Fat and food remaining in the appliance can cause fire and electric arcing when the microwave function operates.
  • Do not operate the microwave oven when it is empty.
  • Cooking utensils may get hot due to the heat transferred from the heated food to the utensil. You may need oven gloves to hold the utensil.
  • Take care when removing lids from food packages after heating as steam is present.
  • Always use the appliance on a stable, flat, clean and dry nonslip surface such as a kitchen worktop or specifically designed microwave shelf only.
  • WARNING: It is hazardous for anyone other than a competent person to carry out any service or repair operation that involves the removal of a cover which gives protection against exposure to microwave energy.
  • WARNING: If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a competent person.
  • Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwave ovens.
  • Metallic containers for food and beverages are not allowed during microwave cooking.
  • When heating food in plastic or paper containers, keep an eye on the oven due to the possibility of ignition.
  • If smoke is emitted, switch off or unplug the appliance and keep the door closed in order to stifle any flames.
  • Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed eruptive boiling, therefore care must be taken when handling the container.
  • The content of feeding bottles and baby food jars shall be stirred or shaken and the temperature checked before consumption, in order to avoid burns.
  • Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens since they may explode, even after microwave heating has ended.
  • The oven should be cleaned regularly and any food deposits removed. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of the surface that could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.
  • Care should be taken not to displace the turntable when removing containers from the appliance.
  • The appliance shall not be cleaned with a steam cleaner.
  • This appliance complies with all current European safety legislation, however, the Manufacturer must emphasise that this compliance does not prevent the surfaces of the appliance from heating up during use and remaining hot during its operation.
  • The specifications plate is available on this appliance. This plate displays all the necessary identification information for ordering replacement parts.   • Keep all packaging away from children and dispose ofC it appropriately.
  • Keep children and pets away from the appliance when it operates or when it cools down. Accessible parts are hot.

Installation

All installation must be carried out by a competent person or qualified electrician. Before connecting the mains supply ensure that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. This appliance is supplied with a fitted plug suitable for use in your country. The cable must not be bent or compressed. Regularly check the power cord for damage.

WARNING: This is a Class I appliance and MUST be earthed. This appliance is supplied with a 3 core mains cable coloured as follows:

  • Brown = L or Live
  • Blue = N or Neutral
  • Green and Yellow = E or Earth

The replacement fuse must be rated at 13 Amps (UK only). Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
WARNING: Microwave started with nothing in the cavity Stop the microwave

immediately as this is dangerous and a safety issue!
Radio interference| Operation of a microwave oven can cause radio wave interference with other devices operating in its vicinity such as radio, television, wi-fi, wireless telephones and similar equipment.

You can reduce or minimize the interference by:

1. Relocating the microwave in relation to the other devices.

2. Changing the orientation between the microwave and the other devices.

3. Ensuring the microwave and other devices are plugged into separate ring mains or circuits.

Oven light dims during use| This is normal, the light output may change dependent upon the power

level used.

Steam present in microwave| This is normal, ensure the microwave is kept clean and dry after use.
Microwave has no power| Check electrical supply and ensure that any fuses or circuit breakers have not operated. If this does not resolve the issue, contact the Customer Helpline for advice.
Microwave will not start cooking| Ensure nothing is blocking the door and it is fully closed. If this does not

resolve the issue, contact the Customer Helpline for advice.

Microwave makes grinding noises during operation| This may be due to food residues under the platter or on the roller wheels. Ensure all parts are cleaned thoroughly before use.
