The grill rack [02] is for use during grilling only, program G, and this can be selected independently by pressing the GRILL / COMBI ( ) button. Do not use the grill rack for microwave cooking.
Additionally, there are two further ways to use the CONVECTION COOKING feature. The temperature range available is 130-220 °C for a maximum of 95 minutes. Do not use the grill rack for microwave cooking.

Cooking on convection power – without preheating

For example, to cook at 160 °C convection power for 20 minutes:

  • Press the CONVECTION ( ) button once and 130 °C will flash in the display and the first temperature indicator will be lit.
  • Press the > button until 160 °C is flashing and the fourth temperature indicator will be lit.

NOTE : If the CONVECTION function is used from cold, then the first few minutes of cooking will be used up to heat the oven to the required temperature, which may mean your food is underdone. If you need to preheat the oven before cooking starts, see the following section. You can monitor the temperature inside the oven using the flashing indicators in the display with each indicator representing a temperature rise of 10 °C. For example, four lit indicators and a flashing fifth indicator show that the oven has reached 160 °C and is heating to 170 °C.

Cooking on convection power – with preheating

For example, to cook at 180 °C convection power for 25 minutes:

  • Press the CONVECTION ( ) button once and 130 °C will flash in the display and the first temperature indicator will be lit.
  • Press the > button until 180 °C is flashing and the sixth temperature indicator will be lit.
  • Press the START/+30S ( ) button to confirm the temperature selection.
  • Press the START/+30S ( ) button to commence preheating.
  • The temperature gauge will flash as the oven warms up and when the correct temperature is reached there will be two beeps to remind you to put the food in the oven.
  • Once the door is closed, press the > button until 25:00 is displayed.
  • Press the START/+30S ( ) button to commence cooking.

IMPORTANT : When programming the cooking time by pressing the < or > buttons, the display will increase at a different rate based upon the length of time required, see Table 2.
Table 2

Weight defrost

The microwave can be used to defrost food and calculates the required time based on the frozen weight programmed in the range of 100g to 2000g, see Table 3. The program P30 is automatically selected and cannot be changed.

Press the PAUSE / CANCEL ( ) button to temporarily stop cooking and when ready press the START/+30S ( ) button again to restart the defrosting cycle.

Time defrost

This function allows you to program a defrosting time, without entering a weight, up to a maximum of 95 minutes. The program P30 is automatically selected and cannot be changed.

Press the PAUSE / CANCEL ( ) button to temporarily stop cooking and when ready press the START/+30S ( ) button again to restart the defrosting cycle.

Multi-program cooking

This function allows you to program two consecutive cooking sequences, using different power levels if required. Also refer to PROGRAMMABLE COOKING above.
For example, to defrost at 30 % power for 10 minutes, followed by grilling at 100 % power for 5 minutes:

  1. Press the TIME DEFROST( ) button once to select “dEF2” (30 % standard power only).
  2. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to confirm the selection (NOTE: This step is NOT required if dEF1 or dEF2 are used in this mode).
  3. Press the > button until 10:00 is displayed.
  4. Press the GRILL ( ) button once and “G” flashes in the display.
  5. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to confirm the selection.
  6. Press the > button until 5:00 is displayed.
  7. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to commence cooking, and the microwave will defrost and grill for 15:00 minutes in total at the two selected power levels. The microwave will beep once when the program changes.

NOTE : In this function, any combination of the power options is available, for example: “dEF1 & P100”, “P80 & G” and “G & C-1”.
However, the defrosting options “dEF1” and “dEF2” will always be the first operation regardless of the order they are programmed in.

Auto-program cooking

This function allows you to cook several popular foods by selecting the number of units or weight of each option and the microwave selects the pre-programmed cooking time accordingly. See Table 4.
For example, to cook 300g of meat at 100 % power:

  1. Press the > button until A3 shows in the display.
  2. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to confirm the selection.

  4. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to commence cooking, and the microwave will cook for 4:20 minutes.

For example, to heat 2 hot drinks (200ml each) at 100 % power:

  1.  Press the > button until A7 shows in the display.
  2. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to confirm the selection.
  3. Press the > button until 400 shows in the display.
  4. Press the START/+30S ( ) button to commence cooking, and the microwave will heat for 4:00 minutes.

NOTE : The preset timings for each program may not cook food to your taste dependent upon the weight and shape of the food.
Please ensure food is piping hot before consumption and cook the food for longer if necessary.

Care & maintenance

  1. Turn off the microwave and remove the power plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
  2. Keep the inside of the oven cavity clean. Remove food splatters or spilled liquids promptly with a well-wrung damp cloth. Avoid the use of spray cleaners or abrasives as they may stain or damage the surface.
  3. The outside surfaces should be cleaned with a well-wrung damp cloth and dried with a soft dry cloth. Do not allow moisture to enter the ventilation openings.
  4. Do not use a steam cleaner on this appliance.
  5. Moisture may condense on the oven during use because of steam or high humidity. This is normal and should be removed with a soft dry cloth.
  6. Remove the glass platter and roller ring regularly and clean in warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Ensure the cavity floor is clean and dry before replacing carefully.
  7. To remove odors from your microwave, slice a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a microwaveable bowl. Add the lemon halves to the bowl. Add half a cup of water and microwave on full power for 3 minutes or until the water boils. Let stand for 5 minutes for the steam to soften dried on the food. Then remove the bowl, platter, and roller ring and wipe thoroughly with a dry soft cloth to remove the residue.
  8. If the internal cavity light fails, please contact the Customer Services helpline to arrange an engineer visit – DO NOT attempt to replace this yourself.
