Check local codes for frost line depth and regulations.

You must have the utility companies clearly mark your property for electrical, gas or water lines to avoid puncturing any unseen underground utilities.

Using a 1 ⁄8″ drill bit, drill holes into the four 35¾”
U-channels as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 1.1.
NOTE: Holes should only be drilled through one wall.
Lay post on side and place a pre-drilled U-channel on one side of the post. The bottom of the post channel should be 1 3 ⁄8″ from the surface plate as shown in Fig 2 and Fig 2.1.
a. Center U-channel on post and use the holes in the U-channel as a guide, predrill the post using a 1 ⁄8″ drill bit.
b. Install 3 screws to attach the U-channel to the post.
c. Repeat for the other side and stand posts upright.
NOTE: There should be two remaining pre-drilled 35¾” U-channels that will be used on the upper portion of the vinyl panel.
Set posts upright and measure distance between posts. The distance between the inside post to inside post is 49 5 ⁄8″ (Fig 3).
Install the first infill board by sliding the board between the attached U-channels so that the tongue is facing up (Fig 4).
NOTE: It is critical that the tongue is up when installing infill board.
Make sure the bottom of the board is flush to the bottom of the post channel (Fig 5). Place screws into the bottom post channel through the infill board (Fig 6).
Install the next 5 infill boards. Install the top 2 screws in the U-channel (Fig 7).
Install the upper set of U-channels flush with the lowered post and centered in the post. Using the holes in the post channel as a guide, pre-drill the post using a 1 ⁄8″ drill bit. Install 3 screws to attach the channel (Fig 8). Repeat for the other side.
Install the next 2 infill boards. Screw the channel through the infill (Fig 9). Repeat for other side.
a. Install the 49 3 ⁄8″ H-channel inside the
U-channels with the shallow groove side down (Fig 10).
b. The H-channel should sit on top of the tongue of the infill below (Fig 11).
Install the two 233 ⁄8″ H-channels inside the U-channels (Fig 12).
NOTE: It is critical that the 1 1 ⁄8″ deep channel is placed towards the inside (Fig 13).
With a 1 ⁄8″ drill bit, pre-drill two holes in the 49 5 ⁄8″ U-channel as shown (Fig 14).
Install the decorative screen panel by sliding the screen into the two channels (Fig 15).
NOTE: The panel should fit inside the H-channels.
Install the 45½” H-channel on top of the decorative screen panel and in between the 23 3 ⁄8″ H-channels (side H-channels) (Fig 16).
a. Slide pre-drilled 49 5 ⁄8″ U-channel on top of the 45½” H-channel.
b. The 49 5 ⁄8″ U-channel will sit on top of the 35¾” U-channels attached to the post.
Install the final 4 screws into the pre-drilled holes (Fig 17 & Fig 18).
