In the Box
Safety Information
- Disassembling the light head may cause damage to internal components. The floodlight may not function properly after disassembly.
- Turn OFF the main circuit before installation.
- DO NOT remove the protective LED lens.
- DO NOT look directly at LEDs that are turned on.
- DO NOT leave bare wires exposed outside the wall canopy enclosure.
Installation
Pre-installation
Note: If you are unfamiliar with electrical installations, we highly recommend hiring a professional electrician to perform the installation.
- Make sure you have all the included materials.
- You will be working with electrical wires during the installation process. For safety reasons, shut off the power to your floodlight at the circuit breaker.
If You Have an Existing Floodlight

Remove your existing floodlight from the junction box and disconnect the wires.

Remove the crossbar attached to your junction box.

Secure the ground wire

Attach the crossbar included in the package to the junction box with the screws.

Remove the protective tape from the EVA gasket. Press the adhesive side firmly against the rear of the floodlight
b. Ensure that the center screw hole and wire slot of the foam gasket are aligned with the screw hole and wire slot. -
Before securing the cover of your junction box, thread the wires through the slot on the bottom of the plate to access them during installation.
Wiring the Floodlight and Junction Box Through the EVA Gasket
The white wire on your floodlight is a neutral wire.
The black wire on your floodlight is a hot wire.
- Connect the green and yellow wire from the floodlight to the existing ground wire inside the junction box. Use the included wire nut to connect the wires properly.
- Using a wire nut, connect the white neutral wire from the floodlight to the neutral wire of the junction box.
- Using a wire nut, connect the black hot wire from the floodlight to the hot wire of the junction box.

a. Make sure the wire connections are secured. Carefully place the wires into the junction box.
4b. Mount the floodlight onto the crossbar and secure it with the screw cap provided.
Important: Before mounting the floodlight, completely apply the EVA gasket around the perimeter of the cover plate where the back of the cover plate meets the mounting surface. This prevents water from seeping into the junction box. -
Check the wirings are installed correctly by switching on the floodlight.
App Setup
Minimum requirements:
- Smartphone or tablet running iOS 9.0 or later / Android 5.0 or later.
- 2.4Ghz WiFi Network (not compatib
- Upload speed of at least 2 Mbps.
Download the App
Download the app by scanning the QR code or by searching “Wasserstein App” in
Google Play Store or the App Store
Sign Up/Login
Sign up for a new account or Login into an existing account.
Adding your device
Click “Add Device” or “+” at the top right corner to enter add device page.
There are two ways of adding devices: “Add Manually” and “Auto Scan”.
Manual Scan

Select “Lighting” – “PIR Light(BLE+Wi-Fi)”

Power on the device, follow the steps displayed as shown on your app (Picture 2) Your floodlight will dim and flash in intervals. (Figure 1)

Enter your Wi-Fi details, and click “Next”.

Wait until your device has been successfully scanned.
Auto Scan:
- Enable pairing mode for your floodlight.
- Wait until your floodlight has been automatically detected.

How to Use Linked Devices
You can control other devices through ‘Linked Devices’. On the “Sensor” page click on “Linked Devices”,Then click “+” on the lower right corner to enter the “Create new Smart” page. Here you can add multiple trigger conditions and tasks to perform.
Third-party Control (Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa)
Follow the instructions inside to link your home assistant. Example of voice commands is also available in the App.
Mounting Your Camera (Blink Outdoor & Blink XT2)
- To charge your camera via the floodlight, plug in the USB cable at the micro-USB port of the camera. Press in firmly.
- Insert the Blink camera mount adapter.
- Screw the camera onto the mount.
- Open the USB port cap of the floodlight and connect the cable. Press in firmly.
- Adjust the camera to your preferred viewing angle
Important Tips
- Assess where intruders are most likely to enter and the path they would take. Most intruders enter homes through a back door, patio door, or garage door. Therefore, it is advisable to place the floodlight near the entrances to your home.
- Mount the floodlight on walls that an intruder would walk alongside, such as a narrow pathway. The motion sensor works best when movements are detected parallel to the floodlight, not towards it.
- You can also mount the floodlight beside your security camera to illuminate the camera’s vision at night.
- Although the floodlight is weatherproof, it is advisable to mount it to a wall shaded from the rain and sunlight to maximize battery life.
- Due to continuous product improvement, all App settings above are subject to change without prior notice. Please always keep the App updated to the latest version.
FAQ
1. The smart floodlight will not turn on. What’s going on?
There are several possibilities. Try the following steps. FAQ
- Check your connection to the house’s power.
- Leave the area for 10 minutes to give time for the floodlight to reset without you triggering it. Return and check the floodlight by turning off the power for at least a minute, then turning it back on.
- Make sure you are testing the floodlight at night.
- Make sure the App is installed and paired with your smart floodlight correctly
