INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Check if the dual voltage switch A12 has been set to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance (fig. 2). Lift off the handle A3 to the operating position so that its arrest is ensured. At first switch the iron ON to maximum temperature and let the iron at least 10 minutes running without water.
Ironing without steaming
Plug the power cord A9 to electric socket. Put the iron to the rest position
(Fig. 8). Turn the steaming regulator A2 to the position, steaming off (Fig.
6) or pour out water from the container A8. Set the temperature using
regulation temperature dial A5 according to the selected fabric material (Fig.
3). Reaching the required temperature is shown by turning the indicator lamp
A6 OFF.
Recommendation
Control temperature dial A5 (Fig. 3) is marked with international symbols that
recommend the optimum ironing temperature and they are the same as marking on
some types of laundry and textiles (Fig. 4). When the temperature is increased
from the cold state or if the temperature is set from higher to lower, we
recommend waiting for a while due to stabilization of the ironing plate
temperature.
Steam ironing
Hold the iron in your hand, turn the steaming regulator A2 to the position
(Fig. 6) and slide the cover A1 to open the filling container lid. Pour in
water to the container A8 (Fig. 5) with the enclosed cup C and close the
filling hole lid in the opposite direction. Keep the position of the iron for
pouring in water. Put the iron to the rest position (Fig. 8). Plug the power
cord A9 into a socket. Select the temperature setting ••• most suitable for
the fabric to be ironed. When the control light A6 goes off, move the steaming
regulator A2 to the position, steaming on. Place the iron to the rest
position, automatic creation of steam will stop (more steam may be going out
for a short time).
Warning
- Setting to pressure steam ironing os recommended only if the regulation temperature dial A5 is set to temperature setting.
- When water container A8 is filled with water over the permitted limit (MAX. 35 ml), steam can be created even in the rest position.
- At places with hard water we recommend diluting it with distilled water.
Intensive steaming (steam shock)
Use only if the steam ironing is insufficient. In this case press intensive
steaming button A4 several times (Fig. 7A –). Thus you will get additional
steam except for the steam created by standard steaming. An intense „burst“ of
steam penetrates deep into the fabric. For optimum steam quality, leave an
interval of at least four seconds between pressing the Surge of Steam button.
WARNING
- When you press intensive steaming button A4 several times, water may drip from the ironing plate due to excess water in the steam chamber. Do not consider this a faulty operation.
- The shot-steam function can only be used at high temperatures.
VERTICAL SYSTEM
It is intensive vertical steaming for steaming of freely hanging textiles
(such as hanging clothes, draperies, hangings). Set the regulation temperature
dial A5 to the marked area for steaming (Fig. 3). As soon as the indication
lamp A6 turns OFF, stretch the fabric slightly with one hand and move the iron
vertically bottom-up (Fig. 7B –). Press the intensive steaming button A4 so
that you reach vertical steam hammer. Do not hold the intensive steaming
button pressed continuously and do not use it more than 5 times consecutively.
Also allow at least one minute interval before applying this burst of steam
function.
MAINTENANCE
Before every maintenance, unplug the iron from power supply by taking the fork of the power cord out of the socket! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, peelers, pot scourers, caustic agents for cleaning or other solvents). Wipe the entire iron with a wet cloth in the cooled state and dry up. If brown film is created on the ironing plate (e.g. when ironing starched laundry), you can remove the film by a detergent containing fine sand. The iron is equipped with a permanent decalcification system ANTI CALC that does not require maintenance. But the system cannot fully prevent creation of calcareous sediments.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
If the dimensions allow, there are labels of materials used for production of packing, components and accessories as well as their recycling on all parts of the appliance The symbols specified on the product or in the accompanying documentation mean that the used electrical or electronic products must not be disposed of together with municipal waste. For proper disposal, hand them over at the special collection places where they will be accepted free of charge. Suitable disposal of the product can help to maintain valuable natural resources and to prevent possible negative impacts on the environment and human health, which could be the possible consequences of improper waste disposal. Ask for more details at the local authorities or at a collection site. Fines can be imposed for improper disposal of this type of waste in agreement with the national regulations. If the appliance is to be put out of operation for good, after disconnecting it from power supply we recommend cutting off the power cord and in this way it will not be possible to use the appliance again. More extensive maintenance or maintenance requiring intervention in the inner parts of the appliance must be carried out by professional service! Failure to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer will lead to expiration of the right to guarantee repair!
