SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not expose the deepfryer, power cord or plug to water or any other liquid – risk of electric shock.
  • Make sure that no water or other liquid gets into the deep-fryer – risk of electric shock.
  • Make sure the plug is clean.
  • Never block the ventilation openings on the deep-fryer when in use.
  • Parts of the deep-fryer get hot when in use. Do not touch hot parts – risk of getting burned.
  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
  • Check the deep-fryer, power cord, plug and all accessories for any damage. Do not use the deep-fryer if parts are missing or damaged – risk of serious personal injury.
  • This product can be used by children from 8 years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved with its use. Do not allow children to play with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product without supervision.
  • Store the deep-fryer out of the reach of children.
  • Keep the deep-fryer and its power cord out of the reach of children under eight years of age.
  • Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop.
  • Do not touch the deep-fryer, plug or power cord with wet hands or other wet parts of your body.
  • Place the deep-fryer on a level, stable, heat resistant and durable surface before use.
  • Do not use an extension cord or plug adapter, or the equivalent.
  • The deep-fryer is not intended to be controlled by an external timer or a separate remote control.
  • Do not put the deep-fryer near flammable or explosive materials, such as tablecloths, curtains, etc. – fire risk.
  • Leave at least 30 cm of free space around the deep-fryer to ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Never place anything over the deep-fryer.
  • Never leave the deep-fryer unattended when switched on.
  • Hot air flows out from the air outlet when the deep-fryer is in use. Keep at a safe distance. Keep your hands and face away from the air outlet. Watch out for hot air when opening the pan.
  • Make sure not to touch any hot parts when taking out food and accessories.
  • Do not take out the pan while the deep-fryer is in use. Set the timer to 0 before taking out the pan when the deep-fryer is in use.
  • Do not touch the inside of the deep-fryer – risk of burn injuries.
  • Do not add oil to the basket or pan – risk of fire.
  • Switch off the deep-fryer with the power switch and pull out the plug from the power point after use. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug from the power point.
  • Wait until the deep-fryer has completely cooled before cleaning.
  • Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • The deep-fryer is intended for household use, or for use in staff rooms, offices and other similar places.
  • Always take basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
  • Do not use the deep-fryer outdoors.
  • The deep-fryer must only be used as it is intended to be used and in accordance with these instructions.
  • If the power cord or plug are damaged they must be replaced by an authorised service centre to ensure safe use.
  • Do not carry or pull the deep-fryer by the power cord. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Do not pull the deep-fryer over the power cord.
  • If an extension cord is used, the cross sectional area of the wires must be sufficient for the power supply to the deep-fryer.

USE

  1. Press the power switch.
  2. Press the button to increase temperature (+) or the button to reduce temperature (-) to set the required frying temperature (80 to 200°C).
  3. Press the button for longer time or button for shorter time to set the 5 to 10 minutes preheating. After the preheating the product is ready to use.
  4. Press the power switch to start frying. The preheating is complete when the time has counted down to 0.
  5. Carefully take the frying pan out of the product and put the food in the basket. An audio prompt is given when the basket is correctly inserted.
  6. Press the button for mode selection and select the required cooking programme or set the required temperature and cooking time.
  7. When the cooking programme has been selected and the time and temperature have been set, press the power switch to start the cooking.
  8. An audio prompt is given when the cooking time is over. Take the pan out of the product and put it on a heat-resistant surface.
  9. If the food is not ready, replace the pan in the product and set a few more minutes of cooking time.
  10. If the food is ready, carefully take out the pan, push the lock button and out the basket from the pan.
  11. Put the food in the basket into a suitable container.

WARNING

  • Do not exceed the maximum marking or maximum weight.
  • Do not turn the pan upside down to pour out the food, any residual fat in the bottom of the pan will run out.
  • Never use the pan without the basket.
  • The pan is very hot during and after use
    • risk of burn injury. Always grip the pan with the handle.
  • Do not put cooking oil or fat in the pan. The product uses hot air.
  • Never put anything over the product, this will interfere with the flow of air and result in poor cooking.
  • Do not use abrasive detergent or utensils to wash the product.
  • Once a batch of food is cooked, the product can immediately be used again.
  • Add a little oil to make the food crispier.
  • Shake the food after half of the cooking time for more uniform and better cooking.
  • To shake the food, grip the pan with thehandle and take it out of the product, shake it and then put it back in the product. Avoid pressing the lock button for the basket when shaking the pan..

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1. Remove all packaging material.
  2. Remove any stickers etc. from the product.
  3. Wash the pan and basket with hot water and washing-up liquid.
  4. Clean the inside and outside of the product with a damp cloth.
  5. Place the product on a level, stable and heat resistant surface. Do not place or use the product near sources of heat, or flammable materials. Leave enough free space on all sides of the product to ensure an adequate circulation of air.
  6. Put the basket in the pan. An audio prompt is given when the basket is correctly inserted.
  7. Put the pan in the product.

COOKING TIME

The cooking times below are approximate and indicate how long it takes to cook a full basket. The exact cooking time varies, depending on the weight, amount and piece size of the food. A meat thermometer can be used to check the inner temperature. The table below shows seven preset cooking programmes.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING

  • Always clean the deep-fryer after use.
  • Pull out the plug from the power point and allow the deep-fryer to cool before cleaning.
  • Clean the deep-fryer pan and basket with hot water, washing-up liquid and a sponge. Do not use a stiff brush, this can damage the surface.
  • Wipe the outside of the deep-fryer with a cloth moistened with water and mild detergent.

WARNING

  • Never immerse the deep-fryer, the power cord or plug in water or any other liquid. Water that gets into the deep-fryer can result in a risk of electric shock and/or fire.
  • Do not use strong detergent, this can damage the deep-fryer.

The deep-fryer will not start

| The plug is not plugged in.| Plug the plug into a power point.


No cooking mode has been set.

| Select required cooking mode with the button for mode selection and press the power switch.
The power switch has not been pressed after selecting cooking mode.| ****

The food is not fully cooked when the timer peeps.

| Too much food in the basket.| Cook in batches.
Temperature too low.| Select the right temperature cook again.
The cooking time is too short.| Select the right cooking time and cook again.
The food is not uniformly cooked.| Some types of food need turning/shaking during the cooking.| Pull out the pan during the cooking, shake the food, and then close the pan to continue.
The food is not crispy.| Some food needs to be fried with oil.| Pour a thin layer of oil over the food and fry again.



The pan will not close.

| Too much, or too heavy food in the basket.| Do not exceed the max marking or maximum weight.
The basket is not properly placed in the pan.| Place the basket properly in the pan.
The handle gets stuck.| Place the handle in a horizontal position.


It smokes.

| The food contains a lot of oil.| This is normal.
The deep-fryer contains oil from previous cooking.| Always clean the pan and basket after use.
