Installation
Select a suitable location and install the ground socket
1.1 Select a suitable location which allows at least 0.5m clearance around the
Rotary head assembly. (Figure 1)
Install the ground socket
WARNING: Do not push the ground socket into setting concrete. It’s important to follow the instructions and pour wet concrete around the ground socket.
2. 1 Dig a hole 250mm (7 0″) diameter by approximately 650mm (26″) deep.
Place approximately 230mm (8″) of coarse gravel into the hole.
This ensures water can drain from the ground socket. (Figure 2)
2.2 Slide the locking collar onto the main pole. Push the index locking pin
through the hole at the bottom of the main pole. Attach a small O-ring either
side of
the pin holding it tight against the main pole. (Figure 3)
2.4 Place the ground socket and main pole into the hole. Push the base of the ground socket into the gravel. Ensure there is approximately 40mm of the ground socket buried into the gravel. Ensure the top of the ground socket sits approximately 1 0mm above the ground level. (Figure 4
2.5 Support the main pole into position and pour concrete mix around the
ground socket. Check the main pole is vertical with a spirit level. Ensure the
concrete finishes below the locking collar flange and pole. Taper away from
the top flange so rain water runs away from the ground socket.
2.6 Leave the main pole in the ground socket until the concrete has set. Allow
24 hours for the concrete to set before final assembly. (Figure 5)
Assemble the hoist
Note:
Once the head assembly is locked into the main pole, it cannot be removed
Gently lower the head assembly into the main pole. Then to lock into
position, raise the head assembly slightly and drop it down with light fo rce.
You will hear a clicking noise, which means it is locked into position (Figure
6 – Part A)
To confirm it is locked, lift the head assembly upward and it sh ould no
longer be able to lift out (Figure 6 – Part B).
3.3 If you wish to adjust the height of your rotary clothesline from the
ground, remove the clothesline from the ground socket, and insert the spacers
to
the desired height. (Figure 7) •
