LOGISTICS

  • Transportation of the equipment, especially also on the road, must be carried out in such a way as to protect the product and the system components (especially electronic components) from major impacts, humidity, vibrations, etc.
  • When loading, lifting, storing and delivering products, avoid sudden or fast movements. These could harm both the product and the handler of the units. Also, be sure to always wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, as well as safety glasses and helmet, where applicable.
  • During transportation, the product must be carefully packaged to prevent product damage. Sudden or fast movements, which could cause the product to sway dangerously or fall, must be avoided.
  • Please be aware that damage may occur if the environmental conditions differ from the allowed storage conditions (temperature range -25 °C up to +45 °C, relative humidity below 95 %).
  • Never let a foreign body penetrate the inside of the packaging.
  • In case the product was inadequately handled during transportation, a product quality control check must be performed to assure that no damage was caused.
  • Do not leave packaged products outside. Excessive weather might cause severe product damage.
  • Any machinery or tools used for lifting the product must be suitable and able to withstand its weight.
  • The product and floor-mounted column (optional) are not equipped with specific lifting tools.
  • Comply with and follow all applicable local regulations and law for transportation, handling and lifting the product.

INSTALLATION

  • The installer and charge point operator must be correctly instructed. The installer and charge point operator must therefore carefully read and follow the technical instructions contained in the product installation manual and in the enclosed documentation.
  • The housing of the product is connected with ground and the entire system must be well grounded.
  • The instructions provided in these safety guidelines, the installation manual or the technical documentation do not replace any local safety regulations.
  • To prevent the risk of electric shock or other injury, check that there are no electrical or hydraulics lines in the walls before drilling the mounting holes. During the drilling operation, be sure to use safety glasses and any other safety equipment needed.
  • The equipment must not be used if any operational fault is identified.
  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance or retrofitting of the EV charger must be performed by qualified and authorized electricians who are responsible for complying with existing standards and local installation regulations.
  • Temporary repairs should be avoided; repair work must be carried out only with genuine spare parts, which must be installed according to the intended use.
  • The responsibilities deriving from the commercial components are delegated to the respective manufacturers.
  • Before starting installation and connection operations, ensure that the external AC-line main switch is disconnected, and the circuit breakers are open.
  • Follow the lockout/tag-out (LOTO) procedures before beginning the installation and connection operations to ensure complete isolation from the grid and that no residual energy remains in the system. The absence of voltage must also be confirmed.
  • Any operation requiring the opening of the EV charger can lead to electric shock hazards.
  • An electric shock can be fatal. Avoid touching internal or external parts normally live while the system is powered on.
  • Cables and connections must always be secured, in good condition, insulated and suitably sized.
  • It is possible to install the product in a 1 phase IT grid configuration in accordance with the local regulations and laws of the country of installation.
  • The product is not compatible with a 3 phase IT grid configuration.
  • If the grid configuration is a TT or a TN network, the ground resistance must not exceed 100 Ohms.
  • Do not mount the product in areas where flammable substances are present.
  • Do not install the product in areas subject to explosion hazard.
  • Optimal operation of the product is in the temperature range -25 °C to +45 °C.
  • The product must be used and stored in locations with relative humidity below 95 %.
  • The product must be used at a maximum altitude of 2000 m above sea level.

MAINTENANCE

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance or retrofitting of the product must be performed by qualified and authorized electricians who are responsible for complying with existing standards and local installation regulations.
  • Before starting any maintenance operations, ensure that the charging process has finished, the system has been switched off, and that the external AC-line main switch has been set to off. Please check the status of the main circuit breaker.
  • Before starting any maintenance, wait at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the unit from the power supply to allow its components to cool down and any static electricity storage devices to discharge. The enclosure could overheat during its operation or be heated by direct sunlight, which can cause burns by contact. To avoid burns from an overheated surface caused by sunlight, please use suitable PPE or wait for the equipment to cool down before accessing it.
  • Follow the lockout/tag-out (LOTO) procedures before performing any maintenance operations to ensure complete isolation from the grid and that no residual energy remains in the system. The absence of voltage must also be confirmed.
  • To disconnect the charger, switch off any external protection switches first, and only then disconnect the supply line by opening the main circuit breaker.

DEINSTALLATION

  • Before performing any work on the product ensure that the charging process has finished, and that the external AC-line main switch has been set to off. Check the status of the main circuit breaker.
  • Before removing the unit, wait at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the unit from the power supply to allow its components to cool down and any static electricity storage devices to discharge. The enclosure could overheat during its operation or be heated by direct sunlight, which can cause burns by contact. To avoid burns, please use suitable PPE or wait for the equipment to cool down before accessing it.
  • Follow the lockout/tag-out (LOTO) procedures before starting the deinstallation operations to ensure complete isolation from the grid and that no residual energy remains in the system. The absence of voltage must also be confirmed.
