Product Usage Instructions

1. Display Setup:

To connect your laptop or PC to an external display:

Ensure your source device has a USB-C port supporting Thunderbolt 3 or DisplayPort Alt Mode.
Connect the USB-C cable from the dock to your source device.
For HDMI, mDP, or VGA output:
- Use appropriate cables/adapters (sold separately) to connect to your display.
- Set the display resolution on your device to maximize the output quality.

2. Network Connection:

To connect to a wired Ethernet network:

Plug an Ethernet cable into the GbE port on the dock.
Connect the other end of the cable to your network router or switch.

3. USB Peripherals:

To connect USB peripherals:

Use the USB-A hub ports on the dock for devices like flash drives, mice, keyboards, and printers.
Ensure your host device supports USB OTG if you need to transfer data.

Important Note

It is important that the host PC allows for administrator access when connecting the dock for the first time in order to allow the automatic driver installation to take place. If this is not an option please see the product’s web page on https://tripplite.eaton.com to download the drivers manually. The HDMI and VGA ports cannot be used simultaneously when attempting to transmit video to two displays. The host PC must support MST mode in order to transmit extended desktop mode or different videos to each display. When connecting to speakers or headphones for the first time, the sound channel will take precedence. Change your audio preference via the host device’s System Preference menu. Connects USB PeripheralsThe USB-A hub ports accept up to three USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice, keyboards and printers. They support fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. The total charging output of the three ports is 10 Watts, with one port supporting 5V/1.5A (7.5W) fast charging. The other two ports share 5W max. Note: Host must support USB OTG (On-the-Go). PD 3.0 Fast Role Swap Charging Port Charges Connected Device via AC Wall ChargerThe USB-C Power Delivery port supports power output up to 20V 5A (100W), which is sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as an Android smartphone or Chromebook.
