This versatile 8K adapter adds multiple ports to the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3
port on your MacBook Pro, Windows laptop or Chromebook. The U442-DOCK40-6
allows you to transmit digital audio and 8K video to an external display, add
USB peripherals, connect to a Gigabit Ethernet network, and power and charge a
PD Charging-compliant host device simultaneously. It is ideal for future-
proofing your highdefinition or Ultra HD application in anticipation of an 8K
upgrade.
Supports USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode for Transmitting Audio/Video
Signals
By connecting the built-in USB-C cable to a source device that supports USB
DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 8K video and digital audio to a
compatible HDMI monitor, television or projector without installing special
software drivers.

The HDMI port supports 8K UHD resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz for
professional photo and video editing. It also supports High Dynamic Range
(HDR10+), providing a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast,
brighter whites and deeper blacks. HDCP 2.3 compliance allows you to stream 4K
content with no complications. This adapter also supports 4:4:4 chroma
subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.
Connects USB Peripherals and Transfers Data at Fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 Speeds
Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports accept USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice,
keyboards and printers.
They support lightning-fast data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps and are backward
compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. One USB-A port and the USB-C port
provide up to 5V/1.5A (7.5W) of charging power to mobile devices. The other
USB-A port provides 5V/0.9A (4.5W) to connected devices. The three ports
support over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and short circuit
protection.
PD 3.0 Charging Port Charges High-Powered Devices via AC Wall Charger
The USB-C Power Delivery port provides power output up to 20V 5A (100W), which
is sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as a
MacBook or Chromebook. Just connect the device’s AC wall charger to the USB-C
PD port.
