Stylies Orion Evaporative Air Humidifier

Congratulations! You have just become the owner of the unique Stylies Orion air humidifier. It will give you a lot of joy and improve the air in the room. As with all electrical devices, special care is required when using this air humidifier to avoid injury, burns, or damage to the device. Before commissioning, please read these operating instructions and observe the safety instructions of the device.

DEVICE DESCRIPTION

The device consists of the following main components:

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the Stylies Orion air humidifier for the first time and keep it for later use and, if necessary, pass it on to the next user.
• Coplax AG accepts no liability for damage caused by non-observance of these operating instructions.
• The device may only be used in the household for the purposes described in this manual. Improper use and technical changes to the device can lead to danger to life and health.
• The device described may be used by children over 8 years of age, persons with physical, mental or sensory disabilities, as well as by persons without special experience and knowledge, provided that they are supervised by a competent person or have been instructed by them on the safe use of the appliance. using the device and are aware of the risks associated with it. Children must not play with the device. Children may only clean and maintain the appliance under adult supervision.
• Connect the cable to an AC power source only. Pay attention to the voltage data.
• The plug must be pulled out: – before each change of the place of work of the device – before opening the device or filling it with water – in case of work disruptions – before each cleaning – after each use.
• Do not use any damaged extension cords.
• Never pull or carry the device by the cable.
• It is forbidden to insert any objects into the casing.
• If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a service agent authorized by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• The network cable must not be pulled or pinched over sharp edges.
• Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable or with wet hands.
• This air humidifier must not be used in the immediate vicinity of a bath tub, shower or swimming pool (maintain a minimum distance of 3 m). Place the device in such a way that people in the bathtub cannot touch it.
• Do not place the device near a heat source. Do not expose the power cord to direct heat (e.g. hot cooktop, hot iron or stove). Protect the mains cable from oil.
• Do not place the device directly next to walls, curtains, furniture.
• Make sure that the device is stable during operation and that there is no possibility of tripping over the mains cable.
• The device is not protected against splashing water.
• Do not store or run the device outdoors.
• Store the device in a dry place out of reach of children (pack it).
• Always remove the plug from the socket when filling with water or cleaning.
• Do not add any additional substances to the water (fragrances, essential oils or water freshener).
• Do not place the device directly on the floor. Use waterproof pads!!

START-UP / OPERATION

1. Please note: Never transport the device filled with water with the upper part (2) in place. Otherwise, water may splash from the top and flood and damage the electronics. 

2. Therefore, first fill the base (4) of the Stylies Orion humidifier separately and place it in the correct place. Alternatively, you can first place the device and fill it through the water filler opening (9). Put the evaporator cassettes (10) in the “drawers”. 

3. If the base is already in place, replace the top of the housing (2). Connect the mains cable (1) to a household socket. Check the fit, as the safety contact prevents the operation of an open device.

4. Start Stylies Orion with the on/off switch (6). Use the Level 1 or Level 2 button (7) to select the required performance.

5. Using the hygrostat button (8), you can select the desired air humidity from 1 lit LED to 5 lit LEDs. If, for example, 1 LED is lit, the device switches off at a relative humidity of approx. 35% and only starts afterbelow 35%. We recommend the middle setting (comfort zone) for an optimal air humidity of 40-60%.
   Note: The device does not turn on if the humidistat is set too low.

6. If necessary, put 1-2 drops of fragrance into the special fragrance trough (5). In this way, the fragrance will be optimally distributed in the room. Fragrances must not be added directly to the water tank!

7. The device has a dimming function. If the power level button (7) is pressed for 3 seconds, the LED lights will turn off. The device continues to operate at the previously set level. Pressing the power level button (7) again for 3 seconds will turn the LED lights back on.

CLEANING

• Before each maintenance and after each use, switch off the device and disconnect the mains cable from the socket.
• Never immerse the device in water (risk of short circuit). Clean only by wiping with a soft cloth and drying. Be sure to remove the mains plug first.
• Depending on the scale content, but at least once a week, descaling should be carried out: First remove the upper part and descale the lower part with a commercially available descaler, then rinse thoroughly. Reassemble completely before use.
• Filter cassettes (10) should be replaced every 2 – 3 months. Efficiency is reduced if the filter paper is too heavily calcified (lower water absorption).

CLEAN CUBE

Before attaching the water tank, insert the Clean Cube into the marked position in the base. Clean Cube, thanks to its patented technology, prevents the growth of bacteria and germs. It can be used for a maximum of one season, it must be replaced at the beginning of the next season. Despite the use of the Clean Cube, the water must be changed daily.

GOOD TO KNOW

Vaporizer operation tips: How does the evaporator work? Evaporative systems humidify the air and clean it of dirt particles and pollen. These products achieve very high humidification efficiency in a natural way: An integrated fan pulls dry air through water-soaked antibacterial filter cassettes. The room air absorbs so much moisture until it reaches its natural saturation. Therefore, overmoistening is not possible. Such systems operate extremely quietly and require very little electricity. We recommend using evaporators in bedrooms and children’s rooms.

Water types

To keep breathing air hygienic, clean water should always be used. The device and, above all, the water tank must always be hygienically clean. Recommendation: Always use Clean Cube as it reduces the formation of germs in the water. hygrostat: The standard deviation in the measurements of the integrated hygrostat can vary + / – 10%. This means that the relative humidity measurement may fluctuate within these ranges. FAULTS Lack of water indicator (red) is on even though it is full of water, the fan does not work: Check that the upper part is correctly placed on the base. Low efficiency: Maintenance according to chapter “Cleaning”, higher existing humidity in the room reduces the efficiency of the evaporator.

REPAIRS / DISPOSAL

• Repairs to electrical devices (replacement of the mains cable) may only be carried out by instructed personnel. Improper repairs void the manufacturer’s warranty and all liability.
• If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, official service partner or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid damage.
• Never start the device if the cable or plug is damaged, after a malfunction of the device, if it has been dropped or damaged in any other way (scratches, cracks in the casing).
• Do not use any sharp, scratchy objects or harsh chemicals.
• An worn-out device should be immediately rendered unusable (disconnect the power cable) and returned to the appropriate collection point.
• Electrical devices must not be disposed of as household waste, use official recycling collection points.
• If electrical devices are disposed of in an uncontrolled manner, during precipitation, hazardous substances may be released into the groundwater and thus into the food chain, or they may burden flora and fauna for many years.

This device must not be disposed of as household waste! Please return the device to the appropriate collection point! Collecting and recycling electrical and electronic waste saves valuable resources! The packing material can be reused. Dispose of the packaging in accordance with the principles of environmental protection and hand it over to a collection point.

2-YEAR WARRANTY

Within the warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase of the device, all devices or parts showing defects in material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced free of charge for refurbished product (at our discretion). In addition to the warranty set forth above, Coplax makes no other implied warranties or any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose after the expiration date product warranty. Coplax will, at its option, repair or replace the Covered Product guarantee. The letter of credit will not be opened. The corrective measures described above are the only form repair of damages in the event of a breach of the warranty set out above. WHO IT APPLIES TO: The first private owner of the Coplax device who can present the right to the warranty dated proof of purchase in the form of an invoice or receipt.
