HOW TO INSTALL
- POWER YOUR LIGHT SOURCES To power the bulbs or other Philips Hue lights, screw them in.
- SET UP YOUR BRIDGE Connect your bridge to your WiFi network by plugging it in. It will turn on by itself. Hold off until all three lights turn on.
- DOWNLOAD THE PHILIPS HUE APP Install the app from the Google Play Store or the App Store. To the bridge, connect. Look for your lights. That’s all there is to it.
- PLAY AROUND AND EXPERIENCE LIGHT Examine the Philips Hue app’s features to learn new ways to play with light. You can eventually upgrade your system.
HOW TO RESET
- Get the Hue app open.
- Go to the Settings tab, which is located at the bottom of the screen.
- To display your available bulbs, choose Lights.
- Choose the light that you want to reset.
- Hit the large red Delete button at the bottom of that screen as you scroll dow

Can it be plugged in at all times like a traditional lamp?
yes it can be plugged in all the time and bonus! It will charge the battery. Not sure what to take from that.
Can I connect it with Alexa if I don’t have a hue hub?
This can be connected using the Alexa app and an Echo hub. It can be controlled via Bluetooth using any of the Echo devices. If Bluetooth is not in range or to control more than 10 Hue lights, use the ZigBee network instead. ZigBee networking is available on any Echo device other than the Echo Show 2nd Generation or Echo Plus, or by adding a Philips hue hub to the local wired Ethernet network.
Can the angle of the light be customized?
It can be one of 2 angles. Balanced on the built in stand, about 45° or flat on its back. With mine I drilled a hole and threaded it for use with tripods, I wouldn’t remove this unless you are very competent in doing so, as the plastic can crack easily.
The old version would not sit on the ‘stand’ well when plugged in. Have the resolved that in the new version?
Yes, it stands even when plugged in.
Can this lamp be hanged from a wall?
I don’t believe so…it’s a very cool lamp though.
is there a product that covers the white part of the lamp with more aesthetically pleasing colors?
No, it’s not.
What is the latest version, and what is this version?
I bought different Hue lamp (Bloom), it’s not a matter about version, there´re just different, this one its portable a bloom is wired.
Can you connect two of these too the app or do you need the hub?
You need at least one hub that you can attach up to 70 devices too. Also you need the app. This is the minimal to use Hue anything.
Is it UL listed?
They are certified by UL!
Would this lamp work away from my home hub by using just the app and Bluetooth? I’m hoping to be able to bring it out for a night picnic****
The light is portable but you need the hub to interact with it if you want to change colors or turn on and off remotely.
Why is this cheaper than normal?
the item is cheaper than normal because the item is refurbished to be like new, but it is not new, so the price has been lowered accordingly.
Can I work this light from my iPhone without having to buy the bridge?
Yes you can! However highly recommended in order to have full range of effects on the device.
Is the Hue Go glass or plastic? Hoping to use it for my toddler’s room but wondering if it’s safe.
All plastic. But plugged into a charger, not sure how it’d do in a toddlers room unless it was out of reach.
Is the battery replaceable?
Couldn’t find anything about replacing battery but the battery is supposed to Last 15 year so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Would this work to illuminate wall art?
When set to white, it provides pretty good illumination and can throw light to close objects. It would not be a replacement for a spot light but it could work if you place Go right below the wall art.
