OVERVIEW

BATTERY INSTALLATION

  1. Open box lid and remove the screws on the battery compartment using a Phillips head screwdriver.
  2. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries (provided).
  3. Replace the battery compartment lid using the screws provided

DOWNLOAD THE APP

  1. Download the VLINK™ app from the Apple or Google Play Store
  2. Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your trap to the app.

CALIBRATION

These instructions appear step-by-step on the VLINK™ mobile app.

  1. Press the power button to turn on the bait box
  2. Wait for confirmation of connectivity
  3. Ensure the bait box is sitting on the ground/surface of the exact location for which you are deploying.
  4. Press and hold the calibrate button for 2-4 seconds. Once a solid yellow LED light is displayed, ensure the bait posts are empty and close the lid.
  5. Upon closing the lid, a yellow LED on the top of the box will start blinking and will begin to blink faster as calibration progresses. When complete, the yellow LED will turn off and a green LED will turn on.
  6. Open the lid and bait the box. Place the bait in the two bait positions and close the lid tightly
  7. Upon closing the lid, a green LED on the top of the box will start blinking and will begin to blink faster as calibration progresses. When complete, the green LED will turn off and your bait box will be ready

DOCUMENTATION

Select the type of bait, quantity, and add notes into the app.

SERVICING THE BAIT BOX

  1. Once a notification is received and service is required, re-calibration will be necessary.
  2. If necessary, remove any remaining bait on the bait posts.
  3. Open the bait box and scan the device QR code.
  4. Select the ‘Re-Calibrate’ button in the app.
  5. Follow the above calibration instructions or follow the prompts within the mobile app.

LED Guide:

  • A green LED light will flash to indicate the device is powering on
  • A blue LED light indicates connection is successful
  • Three short blinks of a red LED light indicates the bait box is powering down due to connection failure or from holding down the power button
  • Three long blinks of a red LED light indicates failure during calibration
  • Quick blinks of red LED light every four seconds indicate the bait box is powered off, but batteries are installed
  • Upon pressing the power button, one blink of red LED light following three blinks of green LED light indicates the bait box is powered on but battery level is below 10%
