2024 Heroes and Ambassador Program
2024-2025
The Sphero Hero Program is designed to recognize and celebrate innovative
educators who are transforming education through the use of Sphero. This guide
will help you understand the Sphero Hero Program and navigate the application
process.
- May 15, 2024 – Applications Open
- July 18, 2024 – Applications Close
- August 8, 2024 – New Heroes Notified
Mark your calendar and don’t miss your chance to be a part of an exciting
community of Sphero educators!
Sphero Hero tenure is September ’24 – July ’25.
What is the Sphero Hero Program?
The Sphero Hero Program is a global ambassador initiative that identifies and
celebrates pioneering educators who are effectively integrating Sphero
products into their classrooms and curriculum.
These educators create engaging learning experiences, inspire other teachers,
and contribute to the growth and development of the Sphero community.
As a Sphero Hero, you will have access to exclusive benefits, such as:
- Give input on and gain early access to new Sphero products and features
- Opportunities to collaborate with Sphero on content and product testing/development
- Networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities with other innovative educators from around the world
- Access to exclusive webinars, resources, discounts, and professional development opportunities
- Exclusive message board that includes the Sphero team and 100+ Heroes
- Recognition on the Sphero website and social media channels
APPLICATION PROCESS OVERVIEW
The Sphero Hero application process consists of the following steps:
Personal Information: Provide basic information about yourself, such as your
name, contact details, and current role in education.
Professional Experience: Answer short questions related to your professional
experience and how you’ve utilized Sphero products or content in your
teaching.
Video Biography: Create a 2-3 minute video showcasing your passion for
education and how you exemplify Sphero’s mission of Inspiring the Creators of
Tomorrow.
Sphero Edu and/or littleBits Activities: Design and share two new and original
activities using Sphero technology.
PREPARING YOUR APPLICATION
Before you begin the application process on May 15, 2024, gather the necessary information and materials:
- Personal and professional details
- Details about your experience using Sphero in the classroom
- A video biography that addresses the following questions:
- Why did you choose education?
- What are you passionate about as an educator?
- How do you exemplify Sphero’s mission?
- B-roll & Photos
- Before the end of the school year, amp up your video application with footage and photos from your Sphero projects in action to show how you’re using Sphero to inspire the creators of tomorrow!
- Two original Sphero Edu and/or littleBits (here is a template for littleBits activities, but they can be submitted in whatever format you prefer)
- Note: for Sphero indi activities, please create a lesson plan in Google docs that is viewable by the Sphero team
SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION
Once you have prepared your application materials, follow the instructions
provided in the application form. Be sure to double-check your responses for
accuracy and completeness before submitting.
