DANGER!

Preparation

Requirements for the correct execution of the following functions:

Self-learning operation:

• The screen requires a fixed end stop when raised in order to be able to learn the upper end point.
• The catch must be mounted with a freewheel mechanism.

Blockage detection:
The screen must move easily and freely.

Obstacle detection:
The catch must be mounted with a freewheel mechanism.

Electrical connection

Logging in

1. Switch on the mains power.
2. Tap the switch or button 2x and press and hold the third time until the tubular motor starts up briefly. Please refer to the operating manual of the DuoFern device or the log-on matrix in the service area on our website.

The RolloTube S-line Zip DuoFern tubular motors are self- learning motors at both end positions. This eliminates the need to set the end points or a teach- in run.

Self-learning commissioning

1. Switch on the mains power supply. The RolloTube S-line Zip DuoFern is ready for operation immediately.
2. First lower and then raise the screen. The end positions are automatically learned during the first run cycles.
3. Subsequently check the direction of travel if the RolloTube S-line Zip DuoFern is being operated using a switch or button. Switch the lines for the rotation direction if the direction of travel is wrong.

Initial installation

During the initial installation, the engineer can adjust the end points with a universal setting cable, available from a specialist retailer, see the operating manual of the RolloTube S-line Zip DuoFern.

Pin assignment:
The universal setting cable is connected with the same colours as the motor connecting cable of the RolloTube S-line Zip DuoFern, see above.

Button assignment:

• Button 1 = direction of travel (I / II)
• Button 2 = set button (III)
• Button 3 = continuous phase (ON/SET)
