GENERAL WARNINGS
.All Immergas products are protected with suitable transport packaging. The material must be stored in a dry place protected from the weather. This instruction manual provides technical information for installing the Immergas kit. As for the other issues related to kit installation (e.g. safety at the workplace, environmental protection, accident prevention), it is necessary to comply with the provisions specified in the regulations in force and with the principles of good practice. Improper installation or assembly of the Immergas appliance and/or components, accessories, kits and devices can cause unexpected problems for people, animals and objects. Read the instructions provided with the product carefully to ensure proper installation. Installation and maintenance must be performed in compliance with the regulations in force, according to the manufacturer’s instructions and by professionally qualified staff, meaning staff with specific technical skills in the plant sector, as envisioned by the law.
Attention : This kit can only be coupled with storage tanks provided with the two sacrificial anode seats.
INSTALLATION
N.B.: to avoid relieving the pressure of the storage tank, proceed with the installation of one anode at a time in order to prevent water from leaking from the lower fitting.
-
Pre-assemble the reductions (5) on the electronic anodes (6) taking care not to scratch the anodes and not to move the rubber protections on the stems (fig. 1 and fig. 6). Carry out the hydraulic seal with special sealing material such as Teflon or similar.
-
Remove the upper insulation cover (1) of the storage tank unit (fig. 1).
-
Remove the lower fitting (2) with gasket (3), the relative magnesium anode (4) (if any) already mounted on the storage tank ( fig. 1 and fig. 6) and the relative black plastic perforated protection.
-
Just before installing the anode remove the rubber protection on the stem.
-
Mount the lower anode (6) on the storage tank in the appropriate seat (fig. 1 and fig. 6 ) by means of a hydraulic seal with appropriate sealing material such as Teflon or similar.
Attention : lock the anode by placing the wrench on the fitting (5). -
Eliminate the upper fitting (2) with gasket (3) and the relative magnesium anode (4) (if any) already assembled on the storage tank (fig. 1 and fig. 6).
-
Just before installing the anode remove the rubber protection on the stem.
-
Mount the upper anode (6) on the storage tank in the appropriate seat (fig. 1 and fig. 6) by means of a hydraulic seal with appropriate sealing material such as Teflon or similar.
Attention : lock the anode by placing the wrench on the fitting (5). -
Mount the plate (7) on the inspection flange (14) using the nut (15) and washer (16) (fig. 2).
-
Assemble the control unit (17) with the screws (18) on the fixing plate (7). Fix the bracket (8) on the plate (7) using the screw with shorter threaded stem (9). Fasten the clip (10) and the cable with negative pole eyelet terminal (11) to the plate (7) the latter with screw (12) and washer (13) (fig. 2).
-
Implement the electrical connections as described in fig. 3 and fig. 7. Make sure to run the electronic anode connection cables and the control unit power cable underneath the insulation.
-
Collect and secure any cables that may remain free with a clip (fig. 4).
-
Shape the internal insulation of the inspection flange (23) with a cutter or suitable tool (24) in order to reposition it in its place, even with the control unit assembled (17).
-
Drill the inspection flange external cover (19) with the appropriate tool (e.g. scissors, awl, etc.) (20). Fix the external cover (19) to the bracket (8) using screw (21) and washer (22).
-
Press the bracket (26) onto the specially shaped fitting (5).
-
Drill the hood (25) with the appropriate tool (e.g. scissors, awl, etc.) as done for the external cover (19).
-
Fix the hood (25) to the bracket (26) using screw (21) and washer (22).
-
Re-open the cold water inlet tap
N.B.: regarding the various operating modes, warranty and technical data refer to the relevant instruction booklet in the kit.
ELECTRONIC ANODE.
Connect the anode plug to the electric network, making sure that the power
supply corresponds to 230V ±10% – 50 / 60 Hz.
Once plugged in the anode activates and, in the absence of anomalies, the LED
lights up green.
In case of anomalies the LED lights up red, in this case proceed as follows:
- Check that the storage tank / cylinder is full of water.
- Check that the plug is correctly plugged in and that the power supply corresponds to what is indicated.
- Check that the circuit earthing has been connected correctly, otherwise the device cannot work.
If all the checks have given a negative result and the anomaly persists, contact an authorised company (e.g. Immergas After-Sales Service).
MAINTENANCE
This device does not require any maintenance. Its useful life, under normal and correct conditions of use, is decades long.
