- Connect the fan heater to the proper electrical power. See grounding instructions (Figure 2)
- Set the thermostat dial to the maximum temperature.
- Once the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostat dial back until heating element tums off. The heater will cycle automatically around this preset temperature. To increase temperature, turn the thermostat knob clockwise. To lower temperature, turn the thermostat counterclockwise.
- Thermostat does not prevent heater from turning on at LOW setting. To prevent ON, unplug from wall outlet.

FAQs
Got one for Christmas and honestly can’t feel air moving two feet in front of it. Is this normal? Fan is running .****
The fan is rated at 300 CFM and should be putting out more air than that. Check to be sure you have is plugged into a 240 volt receptacle not a 120 volt.
Can it heat small room (16×16) to 120 degrees****
The heater will heat an area up to 400 sq. feet. A built-in thermostat allows you to maintain a comfortable working temperature, from 45 to 85°F.
can this heater by used inside the house…bedrooms? bathrooms???****
Yes, but don’t forget it is a 220 volt heater and very few people have 220 volt receptacles in a bedroom or bathroom.
Can this be mounted on a wall?****
This can be mounted on the ceiling or wall with the included bracket.
What’s the amp rating on this heater?****
17 amps. Uses a 20 amp 240v connection.
Will the unit keep up with below zero temperature on a consistent basis? Need to find a way to protect some water lines in a 300sqft garage.****
I live in the Puget Sound area so it doesn’t consistently get that cold here. But with the heat dial turned 1/4 of the way up it maintains ~10 degrees warmer than it otherwise would be. For instance my 400 sq. ft. insulated garage averages 50-55 degrees throughout the winter. The heater easily warms it and maintains over 65 degrees when turned up 1/4 of the way, which is plenty warm enough for me to do projects throughout the winter.
What is the maximum temperature this can reach? Can it heat a space to 120 degrees?****
Not in the winter in a garage. Fighting the cold concrete. I used a 70000 btu kerosene salamander to do that. If you are painting and object. You could get the object that hot. Like painting a section of a car to kick the paint off faster.
how hot does this get at the max ?****
I’ve never placed a thermometer near it to find out. If left on for a 20-30 min it will get VERY warm. Also depends on the size of the room, I use it in about 300 square feet & have to turn it down after 30 minutes. It gets that hot.
Is this a good heater to use to kill bed bugs with****
It’s a TOTALLY SERIOUS QUESTION that is the only way to eliminate bed bugs in a space. This however is probably not a good solution for that situation.
I switched it to 120 plug what are the risk****
If the outlet is wired for 240 but you are using a 120outlet it should not be a problem from my experience. Not sure why you would want to do that though? I’m not an electrician but I can tell you that when running at 120 instead of 240 you are going to use 2x the amperage.
Where is this heater made?****
I believe it is made in China.
How long is the cord?****
The cord is 6 feet.
I have a 40′ x 20′ Pollytunnel. Do you think this heaters would have the capacity to heat this area at night time.****
Look up how many btu’s the heater has.. Then Google how many square feet those btu’s heat. Convert your tunnel to sq. feet and see if those figures are close.
Can I switch it to a 120 plug****
NO. Bad idea. Heating elements would work at 1/2 their potential and the fan motor would running at 1/2 power would burn out, but probably not before it popped the breaker.
How many amps is this rated? Can it be used on a 20 amp breaker with 12 gauge wire?****
4000 watts, 16.7 amps-20 gauge circuit with 12 wire is fine.
