INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALL
NOTE: Not for use on lath and plaster walls
- Determine location on wall for fixture. Note: Location must be between studs.
- Mark wall or ceiling for the center for box location.
- Place the tip of the Shark Tooth pilot bit on center mark.
- Place a 9/16″ (14mm) nut driver, or a 9/16″ (14mm) socket with nut driver bit, on the molded hex nut inside box.
- Start drilling while applying pressure towards the wall.
- Once the pilot bit pierces the drywall, lower the angle of the drill slightly to the drywall surface. This allows for a small section of the blade to touch down onto the drywall first.
- Once the blade penetrates the wall surface, continue cutting into the wall while holding the drill at a slight angle (see illustration on back).
- Once the hole is cut, pull the Shark Tooth out of the wall. Pull the tabs on the sides of the saw blade to remove them.
TOOLS REQUIRED
- 9/16″ (14mm) nut driver or 9/16″ (14mm) socket and driver bit
- Power drill – Note: do not use an impact driver. Hold drill at a slight angle to the wall while cutting the hole.
