Best-Use Strategy:
When charging your device with the Elite 300, pay attention to the LCD battery display. If you plug in a device with a higher power requirement, the Elite 300 battery level may drop quickly, and you may not get exactly 296Wh of energy.
When using the AC power output, the Elite 300 will convert the DC power from the battery to the AC power required by your device. The Elite 300 has an efficient inventor however, there is still some energy loss during the conversion process.
You will not get the full rated capacity of the battery. If you are experiencing shorter run times, you may want to check the power requirements of your device. If you have any questions, please refer to TROUBLESHOOTING or contact our customer service.
Cold Weather Usage:
Cold temperatures (below freezing) can affect the unit’s battery capacity due to chemical characteristics of the battery. If you’ll be living off-grid in sub-zero conditions, we recommend you keep your unit in an insulated cooler and connected to a power source. The natural heat generated by the unit contained in an insulated cooler will keep battery capacity at its highest.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Please note the following:

  1. When an output is not in use, please ensure that the port is turned off. For example, press the AC button to turn off the output, and the icon will no longer show on the LCD display.
  2. Please ensure the power consumption is less than 300W, before plugging into the unit. If the output exceeds 300W, the Elite 300 will beep twice and a warning icon will flash on the LCD display, disconnecting the device to rest.

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Before use or storage, plug your Southwire Elite 300 Series into the wall outlet until it is fully charged. Store your charged portable power station in a cool dry location until ready for use.
If the display shows less than 20% capacity, plug the unit into a power source, such as an AC outlet or a solar panel, as soon as possible to recharge.
Having your power station connected to a power source, between adventures or while in storage keeps its battery healthy and topped off. This prolongs battery life and will ensure your power station is charged and ready to go all day, every day.
If you can’t keep your power station plugged into a power source during storage, fully charge your power station every 3 months and store it in a cool, dry place.
Failure to maintain your power station by following these steps can result in battery damage which will void the product warranty.
