INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
L17VP06 & L17VP07 Series 850 Lumen LED VAPOR TIGHT CEILING MOUNT & WALL MOUNT
Please read and follow the instructions carefully before trying to install the fixture. Please retain this instruction sheet for future reference.
MOUNTING:
WARNING: Turn off power supply before installing or servicing fixtures.
NOTE : Make certain that the fixture is connected to a 120 volt power
source. UL approved wire connectors should be used. Be sure no loose strands
of wire are sticking out form under your wire connectors
CEILING MOUNTING:

Turn the power off at the fuse or circuit breaker box.

Mount housing to either 1/2” hanging conduit or to a surface using the two tabs.

Disassemble fixture: Loosen the two guard screws sticking out at an angle. Rotate the guard counter-clockwise and lift to remove.

Unscrew the lens cover by rotating counter-clockwise.

DO NOT TOUCH THE LEDS OR CIRCUIT BOARD. Carefully loosen the two screws holding the LED light to the junction box. Rotate counter-clockwise until it separates from the junction box. See Figure 1.

Remove the desired plug in the junction box.

Mount the junction box to the surface using the two tabs on the side of the junction box.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS:
Connect the house ground wire to the light’s bare copper ground wire. If the house does not have a ground wire, consult a qualified electrician. Use a wire connector(included) to connect the black house supply wire to the light’s black wire. Use a wire connector(included) to connect the white house neutral wire to the light’s white wire. -
Reassemble the light: Carefully push the wires into the junction box. Align and mount the LED light to the junction box. Do not pinch any wires. Rotate clockwise and then tighten the screws to fix the LED light to the junction box. Screw in the lens in a clockwise motion until seated tightly. Align the guard, rotate clockwise, and tighten the two angled guard screws

Apply silicone caulk (not provided) around the perimeter of the junction box where it contacts the mounting surface for a moisture seal.

Turn the power back on at the fuse or circuit breaker box.
WALL MOUNTING:

Remove wall box from arm/housing by removing (4) screws.

Attach conduit to desired threaded opening on back or side of wall box. Teflon tape should be used to produce a watertight seal.
NOTE : Be sure any unused threaded openings are closed with plugs provided. -
Attach the wall box to the mounting surface using (2) 1/4” (6 mm)fasteners, customer supplied, through the ears on the box. Fasteners should be appropriate for the mounting surface.

Pull supply leads to wall box.

Complete the wiring per the Electrical Connections section.

Attach the arm/housing to the wall box by reinstalling the screws removed in Step 1. Screws should be tightened in a diagonal pattern to ensure uniform gasket compression. Tighten screws.
WARNING:
Turn off power supply at the main fuse/breaker box.
- Connect the white supply to the white fixture wire using a wire connector(included). Connect the black supply wire to the black fixture wire using a wire connector(included). Connect the ground wire to the bare copper wire. Secure the wire but connections with electrical tape.
- Turn on power to check that fixture is working properly.

Operation is subject to the following conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate frequency energy, and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. Interference problems do occur, please consult the system equipment owner’s manual for suggestions. Some of those suggestions include relocation of the computer system away from the television or radio or placing the AC power connection on a different circuit or outlet.
One (1) Year Limited Product Warranty
This limited warranty is provided only to the original purchaser of lighting
fixtures sold under the Southwire® brand name and should be retained for your
records. By using this lighting fixture, you as the original purchaser are
asked to carefully read and agree to the following terms and conditions of
this Limited Product Warranty (“Limited Warranty”) before you use the product.
Your use of this product constitutes agreement with all provisions of this
warranty. Purchasing this lighting fixture from a third-party vendor negates
all warranties (expressed or implied) in this warranty. Southwire Company, LLC
warrants to the original purchaser that the lighting fixture will be free from
manufacturer defects in material, assembly, and workmanship under normal use
for a period of three years from the date of original purchase subject to the
terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty. If any defects due to
manufacturing should arise during the first year of purchase and all terms and
conditions of the Limited Warranty have the product to the original purchaser
without charge. If the product cannot be repaired within a reasonable time or
a reasonable price, Southwire Company, LLC may elect to refund the purchase
price instead. No warranty work will be provided without the purchaser’s
receipt or other proof of the date of original purchase acceptable to
Southwire Company, LLC. This shall be Southwire Company, LLC’s maximum and
total liability. All return shipping charges shall be paid by the purchaser.
The purchaser may have other rights which vary from state to state or province
to province. The warranty does not apply to the following terms/conditions:
- War, theft, vandalism, or an act of God such as fire, floods, rain, wind, or earthquake
- Damage to the lighting fixture caused by accident, misuse, or abuse in handling
- Damages exceeding the total cost of the lighting fixture
- Sealed lamps and/or bulbs, LEDs, and batteries
- The finish on any portion of the lighting fixture (i.e. surface scratches, weathering, corrosion, as this is considered normal wear and tear)
- Transit damage, initial installation costs, removal costs, or re-installation costs.
- Alteration, opening, tampering or modification of the lighting fixture
- Improper maintenance, installation and/or operation of the lighting fixture in other than a normal operating condition or in such a way as to otherwise fail to comply with the instructions or manuals thereof or otherwise constitute misus.
- Preventing or refusing to allow Southwire Company, LLC to promptly inspect the damaged or defective lighting fixture Southwire Company, LLC does not incur liability for any of the following in any event:
- Personal injury
- Direct, indirect, special, incidental, multiple or consequential damages.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE

Contact Consumer Services to return the lighting fixture. Before calling, please be prepared to provide the following information:

The part/model # of the lighting fixture

Date and retailer where you purchased the lighting fixture

Once the Consumer Services representative advises that you may return the product, you will need to ensure the following steps are adhered to:

Each claim must be filed within 15 days of the date of the occurrence.

A copy of the original sale receipts for the lighting fixture must accompany the return.

Provide the exact date and approximate time of the claimed failure along with a brief written description of how the damage occurred and reasonably describe any damage.

Send the lighting fixture to the address below, freight prepaid. Original purchaser assumes all shipping costs and assumes the risk of loss or damage occurring during shipping or handling of the lighting fixture.

The returned lighting fixture will be tested by Southwire Company, LLC and the results of this test, together with the technical assessment(s) will be reviewed to determine whether the lighting fixture failed to perform properly. You have the right to obtain copies of all reports at your expense.
THE LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY OF SOUTHWIRE COMPANY, LLC THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT AS PROVIDED BY LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IF ANY, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TERM OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY.
NOTE : Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
