USING YOUR SOUTHWIRE 100-WATT SOLAR PANEL
How to use your Southwire 100-Watt Solar Panel:
- Locate a sunlit area, free from overhanging branches or obstructions. Direct sunlight is always best.
- Unclip the two latches on the front of the unit and unfold the four panels outward.
- Extend the three support legs to their maximum length and lean into position.
- Place solar panel facing the sun
- Plug the Solar Panel into your Southwire Elite Series Power Station using the cord provided inside the zipper pocket. The cord is permanently attached to the Solar Panel.
Note: This solar panel includes a DC to SAE adapter that will allow it to
connect to most RV inputs.
Note: The solar panel is not waterproof it is only splashproof. Please
use in dry locations
Avoid any shading no matter how small. An object as small as a stick held across the solar module may cause the power output to be reduced. Overcast days will also cut the power output of the module. To obtain maximum output it is suggested that the panel’s direction be frequently adjusted to track the sun’s movement throughout the day.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Before use or storage, please review the appearance of solar panel to make
sure there is no damage.
Please make sure to keep it in a dry place and do not allow it to freeze.
To maintain optimal performance, you should make sure that your panel is free
of dirt and dust that will reduce effectiveness. To clean the panel, please
gently wipe it with a damp cloth.
Always fold and close the solar panel when storing for an extended period.
This will help extend the life of the solar panel.
