1 x shade cover with two rods inserted
2 x cross brace with holder for shade cover
1 x tube with a locking screw for adjusting the height
1 x rod with joint for aligning the shade cover
1 x instructions for use
Assembly
- Plug the tube with a locking screw into an umbrella stand or similar holder (not supplied with the product).
- Slide the rod with the joint into the tube with the locking screw and fix the rod with the locking screw of the tube.
- Guide one cross brace through the joint for aligning the shade cover so that the end without the holder sticks out. Then plug the other cross brace onto the end.
- Move the assembled cross braces so that the connection point is within the joint and fix this in place using the outer locking screw. When you do this, make sure that both holders are pointing in the same direction.
- Press the rods in the shade cover into the holders of the cross braces. They must engage.
- Place the sun shade in the location you want and if necessary adjust the height and alignment of the shade again (see next chapter).
As the shade cover is under tension, we recommend that to take it apart you pull the rods of the shade cover out of the holder and the fabric at the side. The rods can then be reattached to the shade cover with the hook-and-loop fastener.
Adjusting the Shade
- To adjust the height, undo the locking screw on the tube, pull the rod to the length you want, and fix it again with the locking screw.
- To adjust the tilt angle of the short side, undo the bottom locking screw on the joint, tilt the shade cover into the position you want, and fix it again.
- To adjust the tilt angle of the long side, undo the top locking screw on the joint, rotate the shade cover into the position you want, and fi x it again.
Cleaning and Storage
- The rods can be removed from the shade cover to make it easier to clean. To do this, open the hook-and-loop fastener and pull the rod out of the tunnel.
- The shade cover is hand-washable. Do not clean the washing machine. Do not use fabric softener or any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Open up the shade cover while it is still wet and allow it to dry in the air. Do not dry in a tumble dryer or with a hair dryer.
- When the shade is not in use, store it in a dry place that is out of the reach of children and animals.
