IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Before using this product, please read following safety instructions carefully and follow all safety precautions. Any operation inconsistent with this instruction manual may cause damage to the product.

Safety Instruction

  1. Only authorize technicians can disassemble this product. User are not recommended to disassemble this product by themselves.
  2. This product can only use the power adapter provided by the factory. If other adapters are used, the product maybe damaged.
  3. Do not touch wires, sockets, or adapters by wet hands.
  4. Do not allow cloth curtains or body parts to roll into the product drive wheels.
  5. Do not place this product near cigarette butts, lighter, and other smoldering fires.
  6. Please clean the product after charging.
  7. Do not bend wires excessively or place heavy objects and sharp object on the device.
  8. This product is indoor household product. Do not use it outdoor.
  9. Do not sit on the product.
  10. Do not use this product in wet environtment, e.g. bathroom.
  11. Before using this product, please remove all vulnerable items, e.g. glasses, lamps, etc., on the ground as well as items that may entangle the side brushes and air suction passage, e.g. wires, paper sheets, cloth, etc.
  12. Do not put this product in a place where is easy to fall, e.g. ontable, deck, or chair.
  13. Please carefully check whether the power adapter is connected to the socket before using, otherwise the battery maybe damaged.
  14. To prevent tripping, please inform other house members when it works.
  15. Please empty the dust box before using this product if it is full.
  16. The ambient temperature use of this product is 0 to 40°C.
  17. Do not use this product in high temperature environtment (more than 40°C).
  18. Please remove the battery from the device before the product is Scrapped.
  19. Please make sure that this product is not powered on whenremoving the battery.
  20. Please recycle the discarded batteries safely.

Warning

  1. Use only the original rechargeable battery and charging dock specially batteries are strictly prohibited. Please refer to the “Specification” section for battery specification information.

  2. It is forbidden to use the product in environtment with open flameor fragile objects.

  3. It is forbidden to use the product in extremely hot (above 40°C) or extremely cold (below 0°C).

  4. It is forbidden for human hair, clothes, fingers, and other objects ti approach the opening and operating parts of the product.

  5. It is forbidden to use the product on wet or stagnant ground.

  6. It is forbidden to use the product to absorb any objects, such as stones and waste pape r, that may clog it.

  7. It is forbidden to use the product to absorb any flammable
    Suctances, such as petrol and toner (for printers or photocopies).
    Do not use the product in clean area with flammable materials.

  8. It is forbidden to use the product to absorb any burning articles, such as cigarettes, matches, ashes, and other articles that may GausA fire, equipped by the manufacturer. Non-rechargeable

  9. It is forbidden to place any articles at the suction port. Do not use the product when the suction port is blocked. Clean up the duct from cotton wool, hair, etc. at the suction port to ensure smooth air circulation at the suction port.

  10. Use the power cord carefully to avoid damage. It is forbidden to use the power cord to drag or pull the product and the charging dock, use it as handle, clamp it in the door gap, or pull it at sharp Corners.

  11. Do not place the power cord and charging dock near to heat SOurce.

  12. Do not use damaged charging dock.

  13. Even the product has been severly damaged, burning the product is strictly prohibited. It may lead the explosion of the battery in the product.

Remote Controller

HOW TO USE

Note: Before using, remove the protective strip on the robot.

Charging

  1. Place the charging dock against the wall and on flat floor. Do not place any objects within the range 0.5 m from the left and right and 1.5 m from the front.
  2. Connect the power supply.
  3. Install the side brushes according to the left and right positions respectively.

Place the robot on the charging dock for charging. Charging indicator will flash during the charging procesS and always on when charging finished. Charging time is about 5 – 6 hours. During the cleaning process, the robot can sense if the power is insufficient and it will automatically return to the charging dock to recharge. User can also
Command the robot to start the recharging mode through the back charging key of the remote controller
Charging Attention:

  1. Do not use charging dock in highly reflective environments, such as a roomwhich exposed to direct sunlight or with mirror nearby. If there is any object with strong reflection, please cover it 7 cm from the bottom.
  2. To ensure normal working time of the robot, fully charge it before first use.
  3. To ensure the safety of charging and prevent the damp cloth from damaging the floor, remove the water tank before charging the robot.

Turning On and Off

  1. Power On: Hold down the robot’s On/Off Button for 3 seconds. The robot will beep and the pOwer indicator will light up. It will enter standby mode.

  2. Press the On/Off Button on the running robot or the Pause Button on the remote control to pause the robot. Press it once again to continue working.

  3. Sleep Mode The robot wil go into sleep mode after being rested and paused for more than 10 minutes. All robot lights will be off.
    Press the On/Off Button on the robot or remote control to wake it up from the sleep mode.

  4. Power Off : PresS and hold the robot’s On/Off Button until the power light turns off.

Note:
It is recommended to keep the robot in state of charging after cleaning is finished, so it will be fully charged for next use.

Cleaning
The robot has some cleaning modes to meet user needs. User can choose an appropriate mode by using remote control or Apps.

  1. Automatic Cleaning
    • Application: the robot will clean the room automatically by following a zigzag path.
    • Configuration: On standby mode, press the On/Off Button on the robot or the Auto Cleaning Button on the remote control or on the Apps.
  2. Single Room Cleaning
    • Application: this mode is used to clean specific room. The maximum cleaning area is 4 x 4 m around the robot. When cleaning is completed, the robot will return to the charging dock automatically.
    • Contiguration: Press the remote controller mode switching then select the single room cleaning mode.
  3. Spot Cleaning
    • Application: to clean a specific dirty area repeatedly. The robot will move in spiral path to clean the area and return to the starting point when cleaning is completed.
    • Configuration: Press the remote controller mode switching button , then select the spot cleaning mode.
  4. Edge Cleaning
    • Application: for indoor border cleaning, the robot will clean along the perimeter of fixed objects (such as walls) and return to the charging station after finished.
    • Configuration: Press the remote controller mode switching button, then select the edge cleaning mode.
  5. Manual Cleaning
    • Application: manual control cleaning by user.
    • Configuration: press the ****button on the remote control or Apps to control the robot’s movements, such as moving forward, backward, or turning.
  6. Mopping
    • Application: to do wet & dry mopping.
    • Configuration: install the water tank and mopping pad to the robot and press the On/Off button on it.
    • Note: if the water tank is not installed, when user pressing the mopping button, the robot will sense that the water tank is not installed, and it will not work.

Time Scheduling Setting
Press the remote controller time scheduling button to set the robot time scheduling. Then press the key **to set the scheduling time.
Press the button again to confirm the setting. The robot will automatically clean up at the reserved time of each day.
Not e: before setting the schedule, user has to set the time first. Press the clock setting button , then press the key **to set the time.
Press the clock setting button once again to confirm the setting.

Using The Water Tank

Do not use the floor mopping function on carpets.
Note: after mopping the floor, please empty the water tank and remove the mopping pad.

MAINTENANCE

Dust Box

  1. Press the dust box button to 2. Open the box Side Cover. take it out.MODENA RV 6040 GXBK Robot Vacuum Cleaner-20

  2. Open the box Side Cover.

  3. Dump the trash.

  4. Open the HEPA filter cover.

  5. Take out the HEPA and primary recommended to wash the filter.
    It is not HEPA filter by water. Tap gently to remove the dust.

  7. Scrub the dust box with dry mop.

  8. Dry the dust box and filter assembly and keep it dry to ensurs its service life.

  9. Put the HEPA & primary filter back into the dust box.
    Note:

    • Before re-install the filter, please ensure that the HEPA & primary filter are in dry state
    • Do not expose the HEPA and primary filter todirect sunlight.
  10. Close the dust box cover and install the dust box into the robot.

Note: DO not alloW water to seep into the fan port when cleaning

Water Tank & Mop

  2. Remove the mop.
  3. Empty the water tank.
  4. Wash the mop.
  5. Dry the mop in sunlight.

Water Tank Dust Bin

  1. Put the water tank horizontally dustbin port upside. with the dustbin port upside.
  2. Clean up the rubbish in the dustbin of the water tank with running water.
  3. Dry up the Conductive shrapnel

Roller & Side Brush

  2. Take out the roller brush shaft.
  3. Use the cleaning brush to cut off the hair tangled on the roller brush.
  4. Clean the side brush.

Charging Dock, Ground Sensors, and wheels
Note: The interior of the charging dock pole, the ground sensors, and the front bumper all contain sensitive electronic components. Please use dry mop to clean the above parts and do not use wet mop to prevent damage caused by water inflow.

  2. Clean the ground sensors.
  3. Clean the drive wheels and universal wheel.

Note: If the product will not be used for a long time, please fully charge it before storing. Turn off the robot and charge it every 3 months to prevent the battery from over discharged.

If the battery is over discharged or is not used for a long time, the product may not be able to be charged. Please contact MODENA Service Center. Do not disassemble it by yourself.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If robot has a problem, it will make some prompt tone to notice the user. Please check below table for the list of prompt tone, possible Cause, and recommended actions.
