INTRODUCTION

SYMBOLS USED

The user manual uses the following symbols

CAUTION
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if the safety instructions are not followed, may lead to minor or moderate injury and/or damage to the product or the environment.
WARNING
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if the safety instructions are not followed, may lead to minor or serious injury or death and/or serious damage to the product or the environment.
DANGER
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if the safety instructions are not followed, will lead to serious injury or death.

INTENTED USE

The products are only to be used for mountain bike cross-country astm conditions 2.

PROHIBITED USE

It is prohibited to use the product for any other purpose than those indicated in the manual, the safety indicates, or other safety documents related to this document.

ISO TESTED
Products are tested for a maximum total weight of 100kg for astm XC-MTB categories Level 1 and 2.

LEVEL 1
This is a set of conditions for the operation of a bicycle on a regular paved surface where the tires are intended to maintain ground contact.

LEVEL 2
This is a set of conditions for the operation of a bicycle that includes Condition 1 as well as unpaved and gravel roads and trails with moderate grades. In this set of conditions, contact with irregular terrain and loss of tire contact with the ground may occur. Drops are intended to be limited to 15cm (6”) or less.

LEVEL 3
This is a set of conditions for operation of a bicycle that includes Condition 1 and Condition 2 as well as rough trails, rough unpaved roads, and rough terrain and unimproved trails that require technical
skills. Jumps and drops are intended to be less than 61cm (24”).

LEVEL 4
This is a set of conditions for operation of a bicycle that includes Conditions 1, 2, and 3, or downhill grades on rough trails at speeds less than 40 km/h (25 mph), or both. Jumps are intended to be less
than 122cm (48”).

HANDLEBAR

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

| 1. Write down serial number of the handlebar, can be found on the inside of the handlebar.

| 2. Place masking tape around the area to be cutted.
| 3. Gently cut the handlebar to desired length with a fine blade (for instance used for cutting metal.
| 4. Remove all sharp edges with a small file (0,5mm maximal) use flat area for outer diameter and round area for inner diameter.
| 5.  Gently remove the masking tape.
| 6. Inspect the handlebar if any fractures would appear.
| 7.  Report back to info@rideberg.com if

any damage appears.

| 1. Gently rub carbon paste around the mid-section of the handlebar.

| 2. Mount the handlebar in the middle of stem and tighten the screws (hand- tight).
| 3.  Place the handlebar in correct upper position.
| 4. Tighten cross-section of the bolts. Do not exceed this parameter of 5Nm. Please be advised 3.5Nm should be sufficient to secure the handlebar. Smaller bolts can require less torque 1.5 to 2Nm
| 5.  Report back to info@rideberg.com if any damage appears.
| 6.  Remove any excessive carbon paste.
| 7. Place the grips/brakes/shifters in position, if there is too much friction, please use a non-aggressive lubricant (water-based).
| 8. Tighten the grips to max 2.5Nm. 1.5Nm should be sufficient to secure the grips.

SPECIFIC

  • WEIGHT: 760mm – 105gram 740mm – 102gram 720mm – 99gram 700mm – 97gram 660mm – 89gram 620mm – 84gram

  • we advise to use 760mm because of the unique design

  • cut lines go to 720mm but you can go lower to 620mm if required.

  • Please state specific on order inquiry that we need to cut the handlebar or if you will do it.

WARRANTY
BERG products have a guaranteed warranty for 24 months by EU law!
If a quality problem occurs within 24 months, we are obligated to repair/ change components for free.
Also, is a crash or accident happens with your parts within 36 months, we are willing to give you new parts at minimal costs (40procent discount).
This warranty is not transferable and only valid to the first buyer.
The warranty expires

  1. 1. Crashed or accidents
    2. Mis-abuse (All mountain, Enduro, trick rides, .. other then level 2 astm)
    3. Modification of the products (trimming, repainting, other decals than BERG, ..)

  2. Torque higher than recommended

  3. Normal wear and tear

  4. Inadequate follow-up or maintenance by an uncertified technician

  5. Installation of parts or accessories other than recommended by BERG

  6. Wear and tear on superficial areas that do not affect the function of the parts

  7. Damage caused by natural disaster

The warranty does not include

  1. normal wear on items than normally wear (bearings, derailleur pads, spokes )
  2. finishes and cosmetic treatments such as anodizing and decals
  3. all other bicycle components
  4. damage caused by others or incident damaged (where applicable)

Warning!
If you do not follow these guide lines The warranty is invalid

  1. do not use downhill stems on the carbon handlebar
  2. do not use a 2-bolted stem on the handlebar generation 1 (before 2021).
  3. clean on regular base the carbon parts so no chemical product can affect the varnish
