Safety Precautions
Safe operation of this machine is only possible when the operating instructions and the safety precautions are read completely and the instructions contained therein are strictly observed.
- The machine is not qualified for operation in environments where danger of explosion exits.
- The machine must not be damp and must not be operated in a wet environment. o Always inspect cable and plug before using machine. Only have damage repaired by a qualified professional.
- Connect machines that are used in the outside-area via a residual current circuit breaker. Use only extension cables that are intended for outdoor use and are protected against splash water.
- Put the plug into the mains socket only when the machine is switched off.
- Always lay the cable away from the machine towards the rear. o Take care of long hair and fashion accessories; work in properly buttoned-up clothes, without freely flowing parts.
- When working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a secure stance. Secure the vessel with the mixed substance against moving on the floor.
- To be on the safe side, always use the handle (16 + 17). Consider possible reaction torque.
- Do not carry the machine by the power cord. o Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.
If the cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service department to avoid dangers.
Starting Operation and Use
Check if the data on the nameplate is corresponding with the actual mains voltage. Instrument scheduled for 230V can be plugged to 220V/240V mains.
Improper use may damage the Instrument. Observe therefore these instructions:
- Use just mixing paddles up to the specified diameter.
- Load the instrument in such a way that the speed would not drop considerably or that it would stop.
Fixing a mixing-paddle:
Screw the mixing-paddle (64) with thread M 14 x 2 as far as possible in the spindle hole and tighten properly with an open-end wrench (62), which is included.
Switching On and Off:
By pressing the switch button (20) to start machine, simultaneous pressing the lock-on switch for continuous operation. Pressing again the switch button to stop machine.
Unloading the mixing-paddle:
Fit a flat open-end wrench (62) on spindle flats (65) of the tool and unscrew the mixing-paddle (64) from the spindle by turning it to the left.
Maintenance
- This power tool normally requires no maintenance; from time the ventilation holes on the motor housing (3) should be cleaned out.
- After approx. 50 hours of operation, check the motor brushes and replace if necessary. Clean the motor housing.
- After approx. 200 hours of operation, renew the grease filling in the gearbox.
To verify that the protective insulation remains intact, the machine must be subjected to a technical safety test afterwards. For this reason, this work must be performed exclusively by a professional workshop.
Environment Protection
Do not open worn out machines and return to the collection facilities provided
for recycling.
