SETTING RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVEL

ABOUT THE HYGROSTAT

The appliance is fitted with a hygrostat. It measures the relative air humidity and automatically switch-es off humidification in the appliance when the desired value is reached. The internal ventilation remains switched on to guarantee an exact display of the relative humidity level. If the relative humidity falls below the desired level, the humidification automatically switches on again.
A relative humidity of between 40% and 60% is recommended. The setting for the relative humidity ranges from a minimum of 30% to a maximum of 70% or “Co” continuous operation.

SETTING RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVEL

The setting buttons allow the user to select the de-sired relative humidity level in steps of 5%:

SETTING RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVEL 01

During the selection process, the desired value is blinking. The word DESIRED appears on the display.

SETTING RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVEL 02

After a few seconds, the display automatically switches to the value of the current relative humidity and reads CURRENT. When the desired value is reached, the display reads both DESIRED and CURRENT.

DISPLAY “E2”

When “E2” appears on the display, the current relative humidity level has reached 90%. The appliance automatically switches off for safety reasons. Once the relative humidity level falls below 85% again, the appliance switches on again.

QUICK DISPLAY

When the appliance is switched off, the current relative humidity can be shown in the display by briefly pressing the setting buttons:

SETTING RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVEL 01

This display automatically goes out after a few seconds.

OPERATING MODES

AUTO MODE

When switched on, the appliance is in AUTO mode, which is indicated by this symbol:

AUTO

The desired relative humidity level is preset to 50% in AUTO mode. The appliance selects the suitable performance level Low “L” / Medium “M” / High “H” to reach the relative humidity value of 50% as soon as possible.
In AUTO mode, the target value can be modified at any time using the output button. This switches off AUTO mode, and the appliance is now in manual mode:

SLEEP MODE

Pressing the SLEEP button allows for switching from AUTO mode to SLEEP mode and back:

SLEEP MODE

The desired relative humidity level is pre-set to 45% in SLEEP mode. The appliance selects the suitable performance level Low “L” / Medium “M” to reach the value of 45% using as little energy as possible:

In SLEEP mode, the relative humidity level can be modified at any time using the setting buttons.
If the performance level is modified using the output button, SLEEP mode switches off automatically, and the appliance is then in manual mode:
Pressing the SLEEP button twice activates SLEEP mode again.

MANUAL MODE

The appliance can be operated at three performance levels. Pressing the output button switches between the low “L” (night mode), medium “M” (normal mode) and high “H” (high performance mode) levels:
The desired performance level is shown in the display:

A451 ANTI-MINERAL-PAD

ABOUT THE A451 ANTI-MINERAL-PAD

The A451 Anti-Mineral-Pad absorbs most of the calcium during operation. It minimizes the excess limescale build-up in the evaporator basin and reduces the frequency of the need for descaling.
Once the A451 Anti-Mineral-Pad is completely filled with calcium, it must be replaced. You can recognize a full pad by its solid feel. Depending on the degree of water hardness, replacement can be necessary every two to four weeks. The A451 Anti-Mineral-Pad can be disposed of with household waste.
There may be boiling water in the evaporator basin! Remove the pad only after the water has cooled.
Put only one pad into the evaporator basin.

  1. Remove the appliance cover.

  2. Remove the water tank.

  3. Remove the steam tube.
