Warnings

  • This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other activities when there is a risk of strangulation/hanging if the child gets trapped with the helmet.
  • The helmet can only protect if it fits well. Try different sizes and choose the size which feels secure and comfortable on the head. Please refer to the size chart in the manual to choose the right size helmet.
  • A helmet cannot always protect against injury.
  • Discard and destroy the helmet if it is subjected to a severe impact.
  • Do not modify or remove any of the original parts of the helmet other than those recommended by BERG. Do not adopt the helmet for fitting accessories. This could lead to bad fitting of the helmet and dangerous situations.

User instructions

  • Always check the helmet for wear or damage before each use.
  • Adjust the helmet to fit the user, and position the straps so that they do not cover the ears. Position the buckle away from the jawbone.
  • The helmet should be positioned on the head to ensure the intended protection is provided (e.g. it should be placed to protect the forehead and not to be pushed too far over the back of the head).
  • Avoid harsh sunscreens, hair- and skin products on the head while wearing the helmet.

Storage and Maintenance

  • After each use, allow the helmet to air dry and then store in a cool, dry place.
  • Never leave the helmet in your car or anywhere near direct or indirect heat.
  • When used and stored in a correct way the protectors will guarantee protection for 2 years. The warranty only applies to material and construction faults and concerning this product or parts thereof. Parts that are liable to wear and tear are excluded from warranty.
  • It’s recommended to replace the helmet every 3 to 5 years from the date of purchase.
  • It’s recommended to clean the helmet with mild soap, water and with a soft cloth or sponge.

Plastic parts, buckle, straps and padding

  • Must be checked regularly for wear, damage and breakage.
  • In the case of breakage, do not use the helmet but immediately replace the part concerned with an original part, in order to guarantee the safety of the user.

Shell

  • The inner and outer shell must be checked regularly for damage and breakage.
  • In the case of breakage, do not use the helmet but immediately discard it and replace with a new one, in order to guarantee the safety of the user.
