Power Supply
The Soundbird T3L microphone can be powered by the built-in Li-ion battery or by connecting it to devices that provide 48V Phantom Power, such as Saramonic SR-PAX2, SR-AX104, SR-AX107. When
phantom power is applied, the built-in battery will not be used or charged.

Product Usage

Cautions

  1. Do not use the microphone under moisture conditions or water, and do not expose it to rain. Please store it in a cool, dry place.
  2. Use and store the microphone in normal temperature. Avoid moving it frequently from overheated to supercooled conditions and keep it away from heat sources such as heaters or ovens.
  3. When using and storing the microphone, pay attention to dust and moisture.
  4. Handle the microphone with care to avoid violent collisions.
  5. To avoid acoustical feedback, do not hold the microphone close to loudspeakers.
  6. For the best pick-up pattern, do not hold your hand against the microphone cover.
  7. Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of the microphone.

Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the microphone to your recording device or mixer using the XLR output or XLR cable.
  2. If using the built-in battery for power, ensure it is charged before use. If using 48V Phantom Power, connect the microphone to a compatible device.
  3. Use the 75Hz/150Hz high pass filter button to reduce low-frequency noise if needed.
  4. Use the +6dB high frequency boost to enhance high-frequency sounds.
  5. Use the -10dB PAD to reduce the microphone’s sensitivity for loud sound sources.
  6. Press the power button to turn on/off the microphone.
  7. Monitor the power indicator lights (blue, green, and red) to check the battery level.
  8. Position the microphone according to your recording needs, ensuring it is pointing towards the sound source for optimal pickup.
  9. Record your audio or use the microphone for live broadcasting, filmmaking, field recording, sound design, or other applications.

Saramonic Soundbird T3L is a super-long directional shotgun microphone features a super-cardioid polar pattern, built-in rechargeable battery, 75 Hz/150 Hz low cut switch, +6 dB high frequency boost, -10 db PAD and power button. Power Supply

The Soundbird T3L can be powered via

  • The built-in lithium battery; or
  • 48V phantom power, which is supplied by your camera or recording devices (such as Saramonic SR-PAX2, SR-AX104, SR-AX107.) When phantom power is applied, the built-in battery will not be used, or charged.

Feature

  • -10dB Pad
    Attenuates the microphone input to allow for the recording of loud sounds without clipping.

  • 75Hz/150Hz High Pass Filter
    Reduces low frequency and infrasonic rumble from HVAC systems indoors or street traffic outdoors from over-powering the recording.

  • High Frequency Boost
    Restores some of the high frequency content that is often lost when a blimp or furry windshield is placed over the microphone and improves the intelligibility of recorded speech.
