intelbras IVP 3021 SHIELD Passive Sensor
Congratulations, you have just purchased a product with Intelbras quality and safety.
The passive infrared sensor IVP 3021 SHIELD was developed by Intelbras with 100% digital technology. The sensor has a shield that makes it safer in noisy environments and with high RFI / EMI indexes, it also has the Temperature sensor to offer the same detection sensitivity in a wide temperature range (from -10 ° to 50 °) with a reduced risk of false triggering, protection against magnetic sabotage and SMD technology, which can be installed in any alarm panel available on the market. The Shield is composed of a ferromagnetic material, which has as its working principle the induction directly from the magnetic field for it, resulting in an almost null magnetic field inside the shield, offering greater safety in noisy environments and with high RFI / EMI rates.
Care and security
- Follow all instructions in the manual for assembling and installing the product.
- Use indoors only.
- Do not touch the surface of the infrared (PIR) sensor.
- The sensor must be installed where a possible intruder is easily detected, that is, where a person performs movements transverse to the sensor’s detection beams when entering the environment.
- Do not place objects in front of the sensor. To ensure the detection area, avoid curtains, screens, partitions, or any object that blocks the scan. Do not exceed the maximum sensor installation height (2.2 m).
- Do not use the sensor next to devices that cause sudden changes in temperature (air conditioning, heaters, fans, refrigerators and ovens).
- Do not expose the sensor to direct sunlight.
- Confirm that the installation location is stable and free from flickering.
- For your safety, test the product and systems at least once a week. This is necessary due to changes in environmental conditions, electrical or electronic interruptions and violations. Take all necessary precautions for the safety and protection of your property.
- Do not install the sensor directly on windows and glass doors.
- LGPD – General Law for the Protection of Personal Data: Intelbras does not access, transfer, capture, or perform any other type of treatment of personal data from this product.

Installation
Open the front cover of the sensor (pressing the sides), make a hole in the
back of the box for the passage of the power and alarm wires. Connect the
power to terminal J1 (+12 V) obeying the polarity. Connect the alarm wires to
terminal J2. The IVP 3021 SHIELD does not need to be installed with an
articulator, as it already has a 15 ° tilt angle. Its scanning angle is 115º
and the range is up to 12 meters.
Important : The IVP 3021 SHIELD is designed for indoor and closed areas,
so do not use it for protecting outdoor or open areas.
Configuration
After installation, put the cover on and connect the sensor to the power
supply. The led will be flashing for ± 35 to 40 seconds (stabilization time
and self test), when it goes out, the sensor will be in normal operation. Walk
slowly in front of the sensor observing if the led lights up in the entire
area that needs to be protected, if necessary readjust the position of the
sensor. If the alarm panel used is Intelbras, put it in the test mode, this
way it will not be necessary to observe the led, as the panel will indicate
the functioning of the sensor through siren beeps. The jumper (JP1) controls
the pulse count to trigger the alarm. With the jumper in position (1 and 2)
the sensor provides maximum sensitivity. With the jumper in position (2 and 3)
the sensor provides minimum sensitivity, i.e. detection suitable for
environments with high incidence of EMI and RFI interference. Factory default:
Jumper in position (2 and 3).
