  2. Pivot the foot pedal (5) until it “clicks” into position. (See fig. 4)
  3. Pivot the front legs (7) forward until they “click” into position. (See fig. 5)
  4. If required rotate the rear stability foot (18), until it “clicks” into position and secure with the locking lever. (See fig. 6)
  5. Turn the workstation into an upright position. Ensure all legs are locked firmly in position, checking the front leg lock indicators (9) are showing the locked symbol. (See fig. 7)
  6. The rear handle (17) is self-assembly. Fit the spacer tube between the bracket and fasten the handle in position with the bolt and locking knob provided.
  7. The workstation can be moved easily in the assembled state using the front and rear carry handles (16 & 17) in combination. (See fig. 8)

Reverse the assembly instructions procedure:

  1. Ensure that the lock/unlock switch (4) is in the unlock position. (See fig. 9)
  2. Turn the workstation upside down. Release the front leg locks (8) and pivot the front legs into the stored position.
  3. Release the foot pedal by disengaging the foot pedal lock (6). Move the foot pedal to the stored position. (See fig. 10)
  4. Release the rear stability foot lock lever and pivot until it “clicks” into the stored position. Release the rear leg lock lever and move the rear leg into the stored position. Lock the rear leg lock lever.
  5. The rear carry handle can be used to carry the workstation when in a folded and upright orientation. (See figs 11 & 12)

Operation

Clamping

  1. Place the workpiece against the front fixed jaw (2). Slide the moving jaw (2) up against the workpiece. The moving jaw can either be moved by hand or by using the foot pedal.
  2. Slide down the lock/unlock switch to engage the lock. Press down on the foot pedal to clamp the workpiece. (See fig. 13)

WARNING:
The maximum allowable force on the foot pedal is 220 lbs (100 kg). Do not stand or jump on the product, as you can cause injury or damage to the product.

Releasing

  1. Slide up the lock / unlock switch to release the lock.
  2. Press down on the foot pedal until it “clicks” to release the clamp.
  3. Slide the moving jaw away from the workpiece. (See fig. 14)
  • NB: You will need to exert a similar pressure on the foot pedal as was used to initially clamp the workpiece.
  • WARNING: Ensure the workpiece is supported to avoid it falling when the jaw is released.

Clamping on one side of the jaw
On occasion, large or awkward workpieces can only be clamped on one side of the jaws. If this is the case then avoid excessive use of clamping force. (See fig. 15)

Clamping square tubing
Clamping square tubing or similar material either on the diagonal or flat side using the grooves in the jaw pads for alignment. (See fig. 16) Clamping square pieces vertically
On occasion tubing or other square workpieces need to be clamped vertically on the center of the jaws. Use the grooves on the jaw pad to align the workpiece. A hole accommodates workpieces up to 15 3/4 in (4 cm) wide to be clamped vertically. (See fig. 17)

Clamping large objects (clamping range >17.7 in/45 cm)
To clamp larger workpieces the moving jaw can be reversed to increase the clamping range, up to 37 7/16 in (95 cm).

  1. Remove the moving jaw by sliding it from the tracks.
  2. Rotate the moving jaw 180° and re-assemble. (See fig 18).

WARNING: Whenever clamping workpieces up to the maximum clamping range ensure the workpiece rests down on the moving jaw and remains parallel to it.
