Product Usage Instructions
Inserting the Transceiver Module
- Unpack the transceiver module or Direct Attached Cable carefully.
- Apply light pressure to push the module or cable into a free SFP slot of the switch, fiber optic router, or firewall.
- Ensure the transceiver module is in the correct position by listening for a slight click indicating it has locked into place.
- Insert the optical fiber or copper cable into the transceiver module’s socket.
Removing the Transceiver Module
- Pull the optical fiber or copper cable out of the transceiver module’s socket.
- Press the retaining clip of the SFP module downwards to release the transceiver module from the locking mechanism.
- Remove the transceiver module from the socket of the switch, fiber optic router, or firewall.
- Insert the black protective cap into the transceiver module and store it safely for later use.
- Place the module back into its packaging for storage.

Inserting the transceiver module
- Carefully unpack the transceiver module or the Direct Attached Cable.
- Push the module or the Direct Attached Cable with light pressure into a free SFP slot of the switch, the fiber optic router or firewall. In the correct position, the trans ceiver module locks into place with a slight click.
- Pull the black protective cap from the transceiver module and store it safely for later use.
- Insert the optical fiber or copper cable into the transceiver module’s socket.
Removing the transceiver module
- Pull the optical fiber or copper cable out of the transceiver module’s socket.
- Press the retaining clip of the SFP module downwards. This releases the transceiver module from the locking mechanism.
- Pull the transceiver module out of the socket of the switch, the fiber optic router or firewall, insert the black protective cap into the transceiver module and put the module back into the packaging.
