Safety
This manual has been compiled to help you to use your inflatable safely and to
have fun. It contains details about the inflatable, the equipment supplied or
fitted, and information about use and maintenance. Read the manual carefully
and familiarise yourself with the inflatable before use.
If this is your first inflatable or if it is a different type, take enough
time to safely gain experience.
General rules and laws regarding safety and to prevent accidents should always
be followed.
Warning indications
The following warning indications are used in this manual in the context of
safety:
WARNING
Indicates that a potential danger that can lead to injury exists.
CAUTION
Points out that the relevant operating procedures, actions, etc may result
in damage, injury or death.
NOTE
Emphasises important procedures, circumstances etc.
Share the safety instructions with fellow users.
Securing loose items of equipment
When using the inflatable, fasten loose equipment or luggage. For this
purpose, SUPs are equipped with an elastic cord.
Safety label
A safety label has been affixed to the inflatable.
- SUP board: on the bottom, around the fin (1)
- Platform: on the bottom, next to the valve (2)
You can find an explanation of the symbols used in the ‘Safety Information’ supplied with the inflatable or at page 218 – 219 of this manual.
Pump operation
Double operation :
Insert the red cap for quick inflation. This allows the pump to deliver
pressure on both the upstroke and downstroke.
Single operation :
With the red cap removed, the pump delivers high pressure. This allows the
inflatable to be further inflated to the recommended working pressure.
The outlet above the pressure gauge on the pump is for inflating, the outlet
under the pressure gauge on the pump is to vacuum.
When you start pumping, the pressure gauge will not start moving immediately.
Continue pumping until the pressure gauge indicates the correct working
pressure.
NOTE
The pressure gauge needs a minimum back pressure of 0.5 bar. The needle
will not move below that. If in doubt whether the pressure gauge is working,
remove the hose from the pump, keep your palm firmly on the inflation opening
and pump once by pushing the lever down. The pressure gauge will move
immediately.
Inflating
- Place the inflatable on a flat surface, free from sharp objects.
- Unfold/roll out the inflatable and lay it flat.
- Before inflating the inflatable, check the recommended operating pressure indicated on the inflation valve ring.
- Loosen the cap on the inflation valve.
- Check that the central push-push mechanism on the inflation valve is closed (high position). If it isn’t, press it and turn it a quarter turn. The push-push mechanism is now in the highest position.
- Connect the included hose adapter (1)/pump adapter (2) to the inflation valve and connect a suitable pump to it.
- Inflate the inflatable to the recommended working pressure.
- Remove the hose adapter/pump adapter
- Replace the cap on the inflation valve
WARNING
Do not use compressed air (such as a compressor for car tyres).
CAUTION
- Do not expose the inflatable to direct sunlight when it is not in the water, as expanding air can cause damage or bursting.
- If the pressure is too high, it could lead to structural (irreparable) damage.
Installing the fin (SUP board)
- Fully inflate the SUP board.
- Turn the SUP board over with the fin box for the fin facing upwards.
- Push the fin all the way into the fin box (1).
- Push the pin through the side of the fin box and the fin. You will hear a click (2).
- Removal is in reverse order.
Leash and paddle
The leash is an important safety device that prevents the inflatable from
floating away from you if you fall off it.
Leash attachment point
The leash should be attached to the D-ring located at the back of the
inflatable. The leash has a ‘nylon’ cord, which goes under the D-ring and then
looping it through itself.
Attach the leash to the D-ring
NOTE
Besides the D-ring on the back, there are several other D- rings on the
inflatable, but these are for other purposes, like storage of cargo or
mounting a kayak seat. They can’t be used for attaching a leash.
WARNING
A leash prevents the inflatable from floating away from you if you fall and
prevents bystanders from being hit and or injured by it.
Body attachment point
- The most comfortable place to attach the strap of the leash is the ankle (1), but the change of tangles is higher. The location just below the knee (2) is less comfortable but less likely to get tangled. The leash is suitable for both locations.
- You determine the length of your SUP paddle by adding one to two fist heights to your body height.
- The three-piece paddle is easily adjustable in length. The adjustment range is between 175 cm and 210 cm. An extra blade is also included, creating a double-blade paddle. Ideal for users who like to sit on the inflatable.
Kayak seat for SUP
The SUP kayak seat is not part of the delivery of a Yellow V SUP and must be ordered separately.
- When the board is inflated position the SUP kayak seat in the middle of board somewhere in between the four D- rings.
- Using the snap hooks, attach the top two straps of the seat to the D-rings on the front of the board (1).
- Then attach the lower back straps to the nearest
- D- rings behind the seat (2). Adjust the straps to a comfortable sitting/leaning position.
For most user the recommended position of the SUP kayak seat is just slightly behind the center of the board.
Use
NOTE
- Fully inflate the inflatable a day before use and check for air leaks.
- Wear an appropriate buoyancy aid (life jacket/personal flotation device) whilst on the water. Note: always follow locally applicable regulations!
- Under cold conditions, wear appropriate clothing, such as a wetsuit.
CAUTION
- Do not leave the inflatable unused in the sun for long periods. This prevents premature discolouration, ageing and delamination.
- Protect your inflatable from strong UV radiation, this will prevent discolouration, ageing, delamination and sticking/softening.
- Check the pressure in the inflatable . If the pressure is too high, release air gradually until the correct working pressure is reached.
- Prevent water or moisture from entering the inflatable through the inflation valve. Should this happen, remove the water and allow the inflatable to dry thoroughly before using it again.
- Store the inflatable in a cool and dark location or cover it.
- Always check the local water charts for the area in which you are using the inflatable .
WARNING
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of the inflatable .
- When towing the inflatable, this should only be done without persons and at a low speed.
- The towing line must be attached to the ‘D’ ring:
- SUP board: on the underside, at the front
- Platform: 4 x on top (at each corner)
Storing
- The inflatable must be cleaned properly after use. To do this, use a solution of mild soap and clean water. Make sure that all sand, pebbles, oil and dirt are removed.
- Put the inflatable in the shade and allow it to dry.
- Remove the cap from the inflation valve.
- Press the push-push mechanism on the inflation valve and turn it a quarter turn to open the inflation valve (low position).
- Fold/roll the inflatable towards the inflation valve to remove all air.
- Do not fold/roll the inflatable too tightly.
- Replace the cap on the inflation valve.
- Store the inflatable in a cool, dry and ventilated place.
NOTE
- Never allow the inflatable to dry in direct sunlight.
- Due to the strong airflow and relatively loud noise during deflation, some distance from the inflation valve is recommended.
CAUTION
Tight folding/rolling can damage the air seams, EVA foam and kick pads (if
any).
Prolonging the lifespan
- Avoid over and under pressure due to temperature fluctuations, ensure constant operating pressure.
- Avoid using an air compressor, use a suitable pump.
- Prevent dirt or water from entering through the inflation valve.
- Avoid delamination or deformation due to exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
- Prevent damage by exceeding the maximum load capacity (people and/or load).
- Avoid long-term storage, as this has a detrimental effect on the air chamber’s glue seams.
- Avoid dragging the inflatable along the ground, as sharp parts have a detrimental effect.
- Clean the product using a solution of mild soap and clean water after use.
- Dry well after use.
- Check the seams of the air chamber regularly for weak spots, repair if necessary.
- Check the inflation valve regularly for leaks, tighten it if necessary.
NOTE
- To prevent air leakage, tighten the inflation valve from time to time. Use the tool provided for this purpose. Fully deflate the inflatable and remove the cap from the inflation valve, grab the internal part of the inflation valve on the underside of the inflatable, insert the tool into the inflation valve and turn clockwise until it is fully tightened.
If the product has reached the end of its life, check locally how it can be disposed of in a responsible manner.
Repairs
Should the inflatable leak despite all precautions, it is easy to repair yourself in most cases. Use the repair kit provided for this purpose.
- Find the leak using a solution of detergent and clean water if necessary.
- Then let the air out of the inflatable.
- Clean and degrease the surface around the leak.
- Cut 1 of the patches provided to size. Make sure that the patch has an overlap of 2-3 cm around the leak.
- Then trace (with a pencil) the outline of the patch onto de inflatable.
- Stick masking tape around the perimeter of the patch. This prevents excess glue residue from being left behind on the inflatable.
- Coat both the patch and the surface of de inflatable with the glue provided, spreading it evenly.
- Allow to dry for five minutes.
- Gently stick the patch onto the leak and press it down, from the centre to the outer edges. This prevents air from becoming trapped between the inflatable and the patch.
- Allow the glue to set for at least 24 hours.
CAUTION NOTE
- Do not pump up the inflatable whilst the glue is setting.
- Do not use the inflatable whilst the glue is setting.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible cause | Solution |
---|
Bulge
There is a bulge on the underside of the inflatable.| This is a consequence of
installing the inflation valve in the inflatable. To install the valve, space
must be made in the drop- stitch structure.| This bulge is normal and does not
affect quality or performance in any way.
Drop in air pressure
Inflation valve
| Make sure that de inflatable has the correct operating pressure. Then, using
a solution of detergent and water, check whether the inflation valve has been
tightened properly.| When air bubbles appear, tighten the inflation valve
using the tool provided for this purpose.
Check that the push-push mechanism of the inflation valve is in the highest
position.| If it is not in the highest position, press the push-push mechanism
lightly and turn it a quarter turn so that it is in the highest position.
Check that the push-push mechanism is working properly.| If it isn’t, replace
the push-push mechanism with the spare part supplied with it.
Seams| Make sure that the inflatable has the correct operating pressure. Then,
using a solution of detergent and water, check whether there is a leak in 1 of
the seams or surfaces.| If air bubbles occur, repair them using the patches
and glue provided.
EVA foam
Detaches from PVC| Rolling/folding too tightly can cause the EVA foam to
detach from the PVC.| Glue the EVA foam back onto the PVC using the glue
provided. Follow the glueing instructions stated on the tube.
Water in the de inflatable
Water| Water/moisture has unexpectedly entered the inflatable through the
inflation valve.| Take action immediately! Remove the valve’s push-push
mechanism using the tool provided. Actively ventilate through this hole for 15
minutes, then passively ventilate for a further 24 hours.

Game
- Players roll the dice and move their pieces around the board. Only pieces not in the nest may move forward on the board. Pieces may only leave the nest with a roll of a five on a single dice.
- Once out of the nest, a player may move one or more pieces, by the number on the dice. If no move is possible, the turn is forfeited.
- All die moves must be taken before the application of any extra rewards for sending an opponent to their nest or moving a piece to its home position.
- When a piece ends its move on the same space as an opponent’s piece, the opponent’s piece is sent back to its nest.
- A blockade is formed when two pieces of a single player occupy the same space. No piece of any player may move through a blockade, including pieces of the blockade owner. Another player’s piece cannot land in a space occupied by a blockade, even to leave its nest.
- A piece is not required to enter the home row and can pass the row and start another circuit of the board voluntarily or as the result of requirement of the use of the total die roll.
- The game is won when all pieces are in the home spot of the player.

Game
Cross and circles….. with playing cards. This game is a variety of the
well-known “cross and circle game” that has been around for centuries, it
combines the rules of simple fun dice based board games with the strategy of
having multiple moves at your disposal. Although (as with any game) luck is
still involved it is mostly about tactic, wit and the willingness to annoy
your opponent.
- The goal of the game:
- This game can be played with either 2 or 4 players but the rules are basically the same (2 player exemptions are listed separately). The goal of the game is to move all 4 pawns from your starting field to your home base by use of ordinary playing cards. Be aware…you need the exact count of fields to make it into Home, and you need to fill the house from the top down. Pawns are able to move within home base but are not allowed to jump over other pawns within the home base.
- Dealing the cards:
- You have to use the complete deck of cards, excluding the Jokers. 1st round: 5 cards each, 2nd round 4 cards each. 3rd round 4 cards each. After the third round the next player has to deal.
Basic card value:
- Ace: Either move a pawn that’s already on the board 1 space, or as a starter to get on the board.
- King: Starter to get a pawn on the board.
- Queen: Move a pawn 12 spaces.
- Jack: Switch 2 pawns that are on the board (but not home) this is mandatory, but if there are less than 2 different color pawns on the board this card cannot be played
- 10: Move a pawn 10 spaces.
- 9: Move a pawn 9 spaces.
- 8: Move a pawn 8 spaces.
- 35 Next level leisure
- 7: Move a total of 7 spaces divided by 2 pawns. (no 2 pawns on the board then you cannot use this card)
- 6: Move a pawn 6 spaces. 5: Move a pawn 5 spaces.
- 4: Move a pawn 4 spaces but always BACKWARDS (if the pawn is at starting position it is allowed to go backwards and in the next turn enter the home base, if a pawn has already moved from starting position it is still allowed to
- go back over starting position, but it cannot enter home base without making a complete round)
- 3: Move a pawn 3 spaces. 2: Move a pawn 2 spaces.
The game
- At the start of the game the first player lays down a single card, visible to all, and moves his pawn according to the card’s value (see card values) then the next player (clockwise) does the same.
- If a player’s set of cards doesn’t permit to start or move, he’s out of the current round and must lay down all his remaining cards.
- A round is finished once all cards are laid down. At each subsequent round another player starts.
- A pawn can be placed on the starting point either with a King or with an Ace.
- When a pawn is moved from home to the starting point it is “protected”. Pawns that are in starting position cannot be switched, taken or even passed.
- If a player is blocked from any movement by an opponent on a starting position he’s out of the current round and must lay down all his remaining cards
- If a pawn arrives at a position occupied by another, the latter is taken of the board and returned to the starting row, this also applies to own pawns!
- Passing another pawn is always permitted, except in home base or if a pawn is on its own starting-point.
- Players are bound to move their pawns the complete number of steps determined by the card value (be carefull when trying to get into your home base) if the card’s value exceeds the number of necessary steps, another lap of the course must be started to retry the entry!

Game
A card game which is played against the dealer in which the goal is to get
closer to 21 points than the dealer, without going over this. The required
items are a set of cards and a minimum of 2 players. The game can be played
with multiple players, but the winner is always the one closest to 21 points.
Course of the game :
The course of the game is quite simple. The dealer deals one card to each
player and then one card to themself. Cards are then dealt again, with players
choosing whether they want another card or not. If a player has more than 21
points, they are immediately out of the game. The same applies to the dealer.
When all players have been, it is the dealer’s turn. The dealer must keep
taking cards until they have at least 17 points; they loses if they go over 21
points.
Cards:
There are four different cards in the game: diamonds, hearts, clubs and
spades. Each card has its own value, which is calculated as follows:
- Ace: 1 or 11 points
- Picture cards (jack, queen, king): 10 points
- Other cards: the value stated on the card
- For example, if you have an ace and a 9, you can have 10 or 20 points, depending on which is more favourable. If you have an ace and a 10, you immediately have 21 points and have, therefore, won.

Game
- A strategy game for two players.
- At the beginning, each player receives 12 playing pieces of the same colour. These are placed on the dark circles on the player’s side. One player starts and then players take turns.
- Movements are only allowed on the dark circles, so all movements are diagonal.
- The only direction the playing pieces may move is to-wards the opponent.
- A playing piece can be moved one square at a time, unless you can capture a piece from the opponent. A piece can be captured by jumping over the opponent’s piece and landing in a diagonal line on the other side.
- A player can jump over one playing piece per jump. If another jump is subsequently possible, the next jump can be used immediately, until there are no more possibilities to jump.
- A captured playing piece is removed from the board. If a capture is possible, it is obligatory to take it before any other moves. If multiple captures are possible, the player is free to choose.
- When a playing piece reaches the end of the board (closest to the opponent), this playing piece becomes a king. To make this difference clear, a captured piece is placed on top of the crowned piece.
- The king still moves diagonally, but is allowed to move in all directions and can be moved across multiple positions in one move.
- The game ends when one player loses all their pieces or cannot make any moves

Games
-
Game 1
This basic game uses a 3 by 3 grid. The goal of the game is to be the first player to get three in a row.
Player one places the first piece. Players alternate placing their coloured pieces on the board until one player has three in a row (horizontally/vertically/diagonally) or until it’s a draw. -
Game 2
An elaborate strategy game for two players.
This games is played with 15 brown pieces, 15 white pieces and 2 dice. The aim of the game is to get all the brown pieces in the white home area and vice versa.
Start setup
The game begins with (for both colours):
5 pieces on position 6
3 pieces on position 8
5 pieces on position 13
2 pieces on position 24
- Each round, one player throws 2 dice. The number that the player throws represents the number of moves that have to be made.
- You may move one piece the number of positions equal to the total on each dice thrown (provided this is possible in terms of the position in the row where you end up), or move two pieces: one the number of posi-tions equal to the value shown on one dice, the other the number of positions equal to the value shown on the other dice. If the same number is thrown with both dice, the player may move the piece according to the number thrown per dice 4x.
- Any piece may be moved, but only to a position occupied by no more than one of the opponent’s pieces, no pieces or one of your own pieces. You may therefore remove your opponent’s piece from a position, provid-ed he/she only has one piece occupying it.
- Removing a piece from the board means that piece has to go back to the starting point. The opponent must return this piece to the game before he/she can make any other move. Should this not be possible, the other pieces may make a move.
When can a player start moving pieces into the home area?
- When ‘all’ 15 pieces are in the last six positions, the player may start moving the pieces to the home area (the end-game).
- When one player has brought all his/her pieces home, the game is over.
Game 3
A two-player strategy game
- At the start, each player receives 12 pieces of one colour. These are placed on the board at the side closest to the player. Pieces can only be placed on the dark circles. One player begins, after that players alternate their moves.
- Moves are allowed only on the dark spots, so all movements are made diagonally.
- The only direction players can move in is toward the opponent.
- Pieces can be moved one spot at a time, unless you can capture a piece of the opponent.
- One can capture a piece by jumping over one of the opponent’s pieces, landing in a straight diagonal line on the other side. A player can jump over one piece at a time.
- One turn is not limited to one jump, if a subsequent jump is possible to capture other pieces
- A captured piece is removed from the board. If a capture is possible it is mandatory. If multiple captures are possible, a player is free to choose one.
- When a piece reaches the far end of the board (opponents’ side), the piece is crowned king. To make the difference clear, place one piece on top of the other
- The king pieces still need to move diagonally but can move in either direction and may jump over multiple spots at once.
- The game is ended when one player has lost all his pawns or cannot make a move.
