Product Usage Instructions

Power On/Off and Standby Function

To power on, turn on the Main Power Switch on the Inside Panel
and press the Standby Power Button on the Front Panel. Make sure
the Master Power Switch is set to ON for Standby to function.

Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect via Bluetooth, turn on the device and search for your
EcoExtreme 2 on your Smart Device. Follow the Set Up
Recommendations for detailed instructions.

EcoTalk Feature

Press the EcoTalk button to activate voice assistant features on
your device. Speak commands and the Speakerphone Mic will transmit
them to your device’s voice assistant.

EcoCast/Zello Functionality

Use the EcoCast button for multi-functionality or with the Zello
Push-to-Talk app. Refer to user guides for detailed instructions on
usage.

Volume Control and Track Selection

Adjust speaker volume by pressing the Volume buttons. Use Track
Selection buttons to navigate between song tracks.

Play/Pause/Answer Calls

Press the designated button to play/pause tracks. For incoming
calls, press once to answer, again to hang up, or hold to reject
the call.

LED Status Indicators

The LEDs indicate various statuses such as charging, Bluetooth
connectivity, and mode statuses. Refer to LED indications for
detailed information.

Battery Level Indicators

Four LED indicators represent battery levels. A full charge is
indicated by four full LEDs. Consult user guides for additional
details.

Speakerphone Mic Usage

Answer mobile calls and utilize EcoTalk features using the
integrated Speakerphone Mic located on the Front Panel.

Q: How do I know when the battery is fully charged?

Control Buttons & Operations

Standby Power
Press the Standby Power Button once to power on or off.
IMPORTANT: Standby Power function will NOT operate when the Master Power is set to OFF. Master Power Switch on the Inside Panel must be set to ON for Standby & your EcoExtreme 2 to operate.
Bluetooth
When turned ON, the EcoExtreme 2 will power on and search for your Bluetooth device. Refer to Set Up
Recommendations 1-2-3 part 3 for details.
EcoTalk
Press button once to activate the voice assistant on your device (Siri, OK Google, etc.). Once activated, the Speakerphone Mic on your EcoExtreme 2 will hear your voice commands and transfer them to the voice assistant on your device.
Note: Not all devices have voice assistant

functionality; refer to your device for details.
EcoCast/Zello
This is a multi-function button for the EcoCast feature or for the Zello Pushto-Talk application.
If you have purchased additional EcoExtreme 2 speakers bearing the EcoCast symbol (or other ECOXGEAR speakers bearing the EcoCast symbol), use this button to cycle through Speaker Mode, EcoCast Transmitting Mode, and EcoCast Receiving Mode. Refer to EcoCast ­ Broadcast
Your Music to Multiple Speakers for details.
Use the Zello app to turn your EcoExtreme 2 into a Walkie-Talkie. Refer to Zello:
Push-to-Talk, Walkie-Talkie Smartphone App for details.
Speaker Volume
Press to decrease or to increase speaker volume.
NOTE: Some Bluetooth devices may require to be

manually set for maximum audio level.
Your EcoExtreme 2 will beep to indicate when minimum or maximum volume setting is reached.
Track Selection
Press button once to select previous song track or next song track .
Play/Pause/Answer
Press button once to pause or play song tracks.
When receiving an incoming phone call, press button once to answer. Press button again to hang up. You can also PRESS AND HOLD to reject an incoming call.
LED Status Indicators
Connect USB-C Input on the Inside Panel to a power source. LED above the Power Button on the Front Panel indicates USB connection Charging Status.
RED: Charge in process GREEN: Full charge complete
When you turn on the EcoExtreme 2, the blue LED above the Bluetooth Button on the Front Panel indicates Bluetooth Status.

FLASHING: Ready to pair SOLID: Bluetooth connection successful

Battery Level Indicators
There also are four LED Battery Level Indicators located on the front of the unit. Each LED represents 25% of a charge. Four full LEDs indicate a full charge.

The integrated Speakerphone Mic on the Front Panel allows you to answer mobile calls and use the EcoTalk feature.

To open, press in the Safety Lock Button and pull up gently on both clasps.

Waterproofness
If the case is not properly closed, the unit is NOT watertight. To ensure the unit is watertight & waterproof,
ALWAYS CLOSE THE CASE PROPERLY before use.
To close both safety latches properly, close the case, and gently push the clasps into their closed position until they snap and lock into place.

Waterproof Test

Before you trust a waterproof case with your valuables, we recommend conducting a simple waterproof test.

Lift Gently on Both Clasps & Open Case

First, place a piece of paper inside your unit. Make sure to close it securely. Then submerge it under water for 30 minutes. If the paper is dry, then your unit is fully waterproof.

IMPORTANT: ECOXGEAR is NOT responsible for damage of personal items of any kind, including, but not limited to, your mobile phone. This includes any damage that may have resulted from apparent water damage, or any other type of damage, during use or storage.

Master Power Switch

USB-C Input

Master Power Switch
EcoExtreme 2 has a separate Master Power Switch and a Standby Button. The switch MUST be set to the ON position to power your EcoExtreme 2. Once the switch is set to ON, use the Standby Button located on the Front Panel to turn the unit on or off.
NOTE: When not in use for extended periods, turn the Master Power off to preserve battery life.
IMPORTANT: Standby Power function will NOT operate when the Master Power is set to OFF.

USB-C Input
Connect the USB cable to the 5V USB-C Input to charge your EcoExtreme 2.
RECOMMENDATION: Use the USB cable and power adapter included in the box.
NOTE: Charge time from low to full charge is approximately 3 hours.
While playing audio, EcoExtreme 2 can be charged.
CAUTION: Do NOT charge if unit and/or connections are wet or damp.

Set Up Recommendations 1-2-3
1 Charge Your EcoExtreme 2 Prior to First Use
For best performance, fully charge your EcoExtreme 2 before you turn it on for the first time. Connect the USB-C port to the USB cable and a 5V power source. Charge the unit until the LED Charging Status Indicator and all four Battery Level Indicators are green, indicating a full charge.
NOTE: The LED Charging Status Indicator will only turn on while the EcoExtreme 2 is connected to a 5V power source. It will shine red while charging and switch to green when the unit has reached a full charge.
Approximately 3 hours of charging is required from a low to a full charge.
Power source options include the USB connection to your computer or a power outlet using a 5V USB to AC power adapter. It is recommended to always use the USB cable included with your EcoExtreme 2.
2 Power On, Battery, & LED Status Indicators
Once fully charged, press the Standby Power Button on the front of your EcoExtreme 2. You will hear, “Speaker Mode,” (or “EcoCast Transmitting,” or “EcoCast Receiving,”) “ready to connect,” when powering on.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the Main Power Switch, located on the Inside Panel, is set to the ON position. If the switch is in the OFF position, your EcoExtreme 2 will not be able to turn on using the Standby Power Button.
The LED battery level indicators are located on the front of the unit. Each LED represents 25% of a charge, with 4 full LEDs indicating a full charge.
Audio playback time is approximately 15 hours at 75% volume.

3 Bluetooth Pairing & Your Audio
Connecting With Bluetooth:
Connect To Your Smart Device & Play Audio
When your EcoExtreme 2 is turned on, the LED Bluetooth Status Indicator on the Front Panel will flash blue, indicating the unit is ready to pair.
Turn on Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device (Smart Device) and set the device in pairing mode. Available Bluetooth connections shall appear. Select the ECOXGEAR-PTT speaker from the list of discovered devices on your Bluetooth device. Wait for a few seconds until the connection is completed.
NOTE: Bluetooth connection feature is found in the Settings section of most mobile phones and other Bluetooth enabled devices.
When the ECOXGEAR-PTT selection is made and the Bluetooth connection is completed, your EcoExtreme 2 will announce: “Your phone is connected.” The Bluetooth Status Indicator will shine blue.
Once connected, select and play your desired audio.
Pairing Mode: If the Bluetooth Status Indicator is not flashing or if you wish to place your EcoExtreme 2 in pairing mode, press and release the Bluetooth Button on the Front Panel. Your EcoExtreme 2 shall announce, “Ready to connect,” when ready to pair to a new device.
NOTE: Your EcoExtreme 2 shall sync & wirelessly pair with most Bluetooth enabled devices. The unit remembers the last device paired and will automatically search for previous connections when the speaker is turned on or when a device comes back into Bluetooth range. If a connection is lost due to range, the speaker will look to re-establish that connection. If Bluetooth is turned off on your Smart Device, the EcoExtreme 2 may not automatically look for the device.

RECOMMENDATION: If you are not familiar with Bluetooth pairing for your Smartphone or other Smart Device, refer to the User Guide for your Smartphone to learn how to add and pair a new device (EcoExtreme 2 for instance) to your Smartphone using Bluetooth.
Bluetooth Pairing & Connections: Once paired, should you have an issue switching between Bluetooth connections between devices, open the Bluetooth Section within the device currently connected to the EcoExtreme 2 and delete the Bluetooth connection. The EcoExtreme 2 will then be available to pair & connect to an alternate Bluetooth enabled Smartphone / Audio Device.

EcoCast ­ Broadcast Your Music to Multiple Speakers

When you have two or more EcoExtreme 2 speakers bearing the EcoCast symbol , you can build a broadcast system by initiating EcoCast Transmitting Mode in one EcoExtreme 2 speaker and broadcasting your music to one or more EcoExtreme 2 speakers in EcoCast Receiving Mode.

1 Follow the Pairing a Bluetooth Device instructions to connect one EcoExtreme 2 (Speaker A) to your Bluetooth device. After your device is connected to Speaker A, you can select a song to play.
2 Press on Speaker A to initiate EcoCast Transmitting Mode. The Mode LED Indicator (the third LED Indicator from the left) will flash Red, and the speaker will announce, “EcoCast transmitting.”

3 Power on Speaker B speaker and press to cycle through to and initiate EcoCast Receiving Mode. The Mode LED Indicator will flash Green, and the speaker will announce, “EcoCast receiving.”
4 Once the connection between the speakers is successful, Speaker B will announce, “Connection Successful,” and start playing music from your Bluetooth device.

1 Power on the additional EcoExtreme 2 speaker(s) (Speaker C and Speaker D). Press to cycle through to and initiate EcoCast Receiving Mode. The Mode LED Indicator will flash Green, and the speaker(s) will announce, “EcoCast receiving.”

2 On Speaker A (the speaker with the Mode LED Indicator shining solid Red), PRESS AND HOLD both and for 3 seconds. The Mode LED Indicator will flash Red.
3 Once the connection between the speakers is successful, Speaker C (and Speaker D) will announce, “Connection Successful,” and start playing music from your Bluetooth device.
NOTES:
· If all the speakers are turned off, then turned on, the speaker(s) in EcoCast Receiving Mode (Speakers B, C, and D) will automatically re-connect to the speaker in Transmitting Mode (Speaker A). If they are not automatically re-connected, please follow the above steps.
· You can also pair the EcoExtreme 2 with any other ECOXGEAR speaker bearing the EcoCast symbol .
· The EcoCast functionality is only available while using Bluetooth as your Audio Source at a maximum range of 30 feet between speakers.
· While connecting the EcoExtreme 2 speakers, make sure that the speakers are within a few feet of each other.

Zello: Push-to-Talk, Walkie-Talkie Smartphone App
Add the Zello Walkie-Talkie app onto your smartphone to turn it into a push- to-talk, walkie-talkie that works anywhere in the world with Internet access! You can use it one-on-one with a friend or for a live group-call. Steps to get “Zello” up and running with your EcoExtreme 2: 1 Install and set up the Zello app onto your phone
a Download the Zello app onto your phone from Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store.
b Create your account and profile in Zello. c Add your friends/contacts who you want to talk with
using Zello. 2 On your EcoExtreme 2, press the to change to
Speaker Mode. The Mode LED will shine Blue. 3 On your phone settings, connect your phone to your
EcoExtreme 2 with Bluetooth. 4 On the Zello app, under the Options > Push-to- talk
button Menu, add your EcoExtreme 2 as a “Push-to-talk” button. Ensure that your EcoExtreme 2 is “Connected” as a “Push-to-talk” button.

5 Keep the Zello app open in the foreground or background of your smartphone.
6 PRESS AND HOLD to send a walkie-talkie message to your friends. Make sure to hold the button while talking, and release when you’re done.
NOTES:
· Refer to the instructions within the Zello app for updated revisions to its operation.
· The Push-to-talk button related feature settings are under the Options > Audio Menu or Options > Alert tones / vibrate Menu.

    PRODUCT USE AND PROTECTION:

    The EcoExtreme 2 Bluetooth speaker is intended to be used indoors or outdoors and in land or water environments. The speaker has been tested to IP67 waterproofing standards, which means the speaker can be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes without any damage. However, the speaker is NOT intended for constant underwater use.
    Always make sure the clasp(s) / latch(es) / covers(s) are clean, free from sand or debris, and correctly fitted. The speaker will only meet IP67 ratings if all rubber seals, gasket(s), and cover(s) / clasp(s) / latch(es) are in place. If you notice a muffling of audio after submersion, gently shake the unit to clear excess water. If your speaker is exposed to salt water, clean it thoroughly after use with fresh water.
    The USB cables and unit with an improperly secured latches are NOT waterproof.
    To prevent fire or shock, do NOT attempt to charge this unit if it is wet or you suspect water has entered the unit. In this situation, please return the unit to ECOXGEAR for a free assessment. If we have found that the unit has carried water, we will repair or replace the unit free of charge.
    Perform recommended safety and waterproof checks prior to use in a water environment. ECOXGEAR is NOT liable for damage to contents in Case.

SAFETY:
This product has a limited life span of use and should be replaced when it shows obvious signs of wear.
Do not modify or remove any original component parts of the speaker. Doing so could cause damage to the unit allowing water to ingress. A unit with water ingress should not be charged due to potential risk of fire or shock.
Please exercise care and good judgment when using your EcoExtreme 2 speaker. Audio levels should be appropriate to your environment, comply with all local regulations, and always ensure that you can hear and be aware of any potential hazards around you.
You should always

  1. Read and follow all instructions in the manual.

  2. Perform recommended safety and waterproof checks prior to use in a water environment.

  3. Use the EcoExtreme 2 speaker in accordance with any music or noise rules and regulations.

  4. Properly seal the EcoExtreme 2 prior and after each use when in humid or water environments to avoid water damage to the internal components. Salt water / air is particularly corrosive. Always make sure that the gaskets are sealed when in salt water environment and the unit properly rinsed off after use.

  5. Properly clean the EcoExtreme 2 and ensure the gaskets have no sand, dirt, or water on them prior to storage or removing the back cover. Ensure housing seal is clean and not damaged prior to each use.

  6. Store your unit with all latches properly sealed to avoid long term internal moisture damage inside your unit.

  7. Completely dry and clean your EcoExtreme 2 prior to attempting to charge the unit.

  8. Return the EcoExtreme 2 to ECOXGEAR if you suspect water ingress into the unit or if the unit has experienced a severe impact that may have affected the integrity of the unit to take on water.
    You should NEVER
    1 ) NEVER charge your EcoExtreme 2 if you suspect water has entered the device. Charging a device with water inside could be potentially hazardous and cause fire or a spark.

  9. NEVER use your EcoExtreme 2 if you have dropped it or thrown it against a hard surface which may have destroyed the integrity of the speakers, housings, or gaskets. In the event of a severe impact to your unit please return the unit to ECOXGEAR to review for potential damage.

  10. NEVER use if cracks, deformation, or other damage is observed.

  11. NEVER open the safety latches in a water environment. This could cause water to ingress into the unit which could potentially be hazardous and cause a fire or a spark.

  12. NEVER submerge the product in water below its depth rating: 3 feet / 1 meter.

  13. NEVER attempt to fix, repair your EcoExtreme 2 unit. Please send it back to ECOXGEAR for any assessments and repairs.
    CARE, MAINTENANCE, & PRECAUTIONS:

  14. The unit is not waterproof unless the unit is closed and both latches are properly in the closed and locked position.

  15. Close the latches properly before use. If the unit is placed in water without the latches properly closed, water may enter into the unit and void your warranty.

  16. Dry unit completely before opening the latches. Do NOT open the latches if wet or in a wet environment.

  17. Do NOT apply excessive force to any surfaces of the unit when wet or in a wet environment.

  18. Do NOT use or store the unit in places with high temperature.

  19. AVOID prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV sunlight) and strong magnetic fields.

  20. Periodically check the rubber seal for premature wear.

  21. Periodically clean the rubber with a soft moist cloth and ensure no objects such as dirt, hair, or sand are on the rubber seal ring. Do NOT use any oily solvent or chemicals for cleaning.

  22. Rinse off the unit with tap water after use in salt water or swimming pool.

  23. Power and / or charge the built-in rechargeable battery for portable use by connecting the USB cord to a computer USB connection or to an AC outlet using the AC-to-USB cord 5V, 1A power adapter intended for use with the unit.

  24. Noise and audio distortion may occur when the batteries are nearing end of charge.

  25. Do NOT remove the built-in battery. Do NOT remove the grill covers.

Please refer to the above care and maintenance instructions for suggested care details. The warranty is valid only for the original owner who purchases the unit from an authorized dealer. Transfers do not qualify for warranty protection. ECOXGEAR reserves the right to replace any out-of-stock or discontinued product with a comparable product. Discontinued products may not be available for warranty replacement. Any contents are NOT covered by the limited manufacturer’s warranty.
