Intended use

  • This product is only intended for the removal of human callus formation on feet, hands, and elbows. This product must not be used on head, aorta and other blood vessel-intensive parts.
  • This product is solely intended for private use. It is not approved for commercial purposes or other uses. The manufacturer, supplier and distributor are not liable for damages due to improper use.

WARNING! This product will generate high heat when used for extended periods, which may cause burns. Therefore regularly check the result during use. Diabetics in particular are less sensitive if burns occur. Be very careful. If necessary, consult your physician.

  • This product may be used by children 8 years and up as well as persons with physical, sensory or mental impairments or lacking experience and knowledge, when supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks.
  • Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed by children without supervision.
  • Do not use the product if it is damaged. Injuries may otherwise occur. Verify there are no foreign objects inside the product.
  • Only open the product to replace the battery. This product has no parts which can be serviced by the user.
  • Switch off the product before cleaning and care. Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures to prevent damage.
  • Avoid severe shock or mechanical stress to the product to prevent damage.
  • Please contact a professional for damage, repairs or other problems with the product.
  • Never immerse the product in water. Never use the product in a bathtub, shower, swimming pool or over a basin filled with water.
  • Do not use the product if you have wounds on your hands or feet or have stressed skin areas.

CAUTION! Carefully move the product in circular motions and do not pause in one area. Painful heat may otherwise build.

CAUTION! Do not apply excessive pressure and always carefully move the attachments over the areas being treated.

  • Verify the roller is always able to rotate freely. It must not be permanently blocked or high heat may develop, damaging the product.

CAUTION! Regularly check the result during use. If you notice bothersome skin reactions, stop immediately.

  • For reasons of hygiene the product should only be used by one person.
  • Do not drop the product to prevent damage to internal parts.
  • Do not allow water to enter the product. In this case remove the batteries and only use the product again once it has dried completely. Check the product before each use. Do not use the product if the roller is damaged or malfunction, otherwise, injuries may occur.
  • To avoid injury, only use the roller supplied with the product or ordered from online. See section “Ordering accessories” for the order information.
    Only use the product with dry hands.

WARNING! Protect the hand-held unit from moisture! Never immerse the hand-held unit in water.

Safety instructions for batteries/rechargeable batteries

DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

  • Swallowing may lead to burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.

  • Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
  • Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not short-circuit the terminals.

WARNING! Contains AA batteries that can be swallowed! Choking hazard!

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention immediately.

Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries

  • Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.
  • If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals!
  • Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.

  • In the event of a leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.
  • Only use the same type of batteries/rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries/rechargeable batteries.
  • Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.

Risk of damage of the product

  • Only use the specified type of battery/rechargeable battery!
  • Insert batteries/rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (–) on the battery/rechargeable battery and the product.
  • Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the contacts on the battery/rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!
  • Remove exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.

Before use

  • Only use the product with dry hands.
  • Remove all parts from the package.

Inserting/replacing batteries (Fig. A)

1. Switching off the product: Slide down the slide switch [3] until “0” is shown. (Fig. C)
2. Put the protective cap [9] on the roller [1]/[8]. Hold the main housing [5] firmly. Slide the battery compartment cover [6] off the main housing.
3. Remove the used batteries, if present.
4. Insert 2 new batteries (type AA, LR6) into the battery compartment [11].

  • Pay attention to the correct polarity. This is indicated on the outer surface of the battery compartment [11].

5. Slide the battery compartment cover [6] back onto the main housing [5].

Operation

1. Before use: Remove the protective cap [9].
2. Switching on the product: Press the safety button [4]. Simultaneously, slide up the slide switch [3] to the required speed level. ( Fig. C )

Note: We recommend that you start working at speed level “I”. If the results are satisfactory – and you feel comfortable handling the product – then you may switch up to speed level “II”.

3. Apply the roller [1]/[8] slowly and carefully with only a little pressure to the callus, which is to be removed.
4. Switching off the product: Slide down the slide switch [3] until “0” is shown. ( Fig. C )

Note: In order to prevent injuries, the roller [1]/[8] stops if too much pressure is applied to the callus.

Using different attachments

  • Select the attachments with care. Improper use may result in injuries.
  • 2 complete roller attachments are supplied.

Roller with coarse grain (silver) [8]

  • To remove the thick calluses.

Roller with fine grain (HG11084A: mint/HG11084B: pink) [1]

  • To remove calluses, but also smoothes them. This attachment is especially suitable for smoothing after having used the roller with coarse grain (silver) [8].

Changing attachment (fig. B)

Note: To avoid injury, only use the roller [1]/[8] supplied with the product or ordered from online. See section “Ordering accessories” for the order information.

Note: Switch off the product before changing the attachment.

1. Slide down the slide switch [3] until “0” is shown. (Fig. C)

2. Replacing the current roller attachment: Press the release button [7] for the roller holder [2]. Simultaneously, remove the roller holder [2] from the main housing [5].
3. Press and hold the release button [7] for the roller holder [2] again.
Simultaneously, place the roller holder [2] with roller [1]/[8] on top of the product in such a way that the gears of the roller holder [2] and of the roller are above one another.

Note: You cannot remove the roller [1]/[8] from the roller holder [2].

Skin care after application

  • Apply body lotion, oil or cream to the skin.
  • Do not apply any substances (e.g. deodorant) to the treated areas, which could irritate the skin.

Cleaning and care

Roller holder [2] and the roller [1]/[8]:

Note: Clean the roller holder [2] and the roller [1]/[8] after every application. Check whether the surface of the roller [1]/[8] is undamaged. To do so, turn the roller and check the surface carefully.
Note: Switch off the product before cleaning and care.

1. Switch off the product by sliding down the slide switch [3] until “0” is shown. (Fig. C)
2. Put the protective cap [9] on the roller [1]/[8]. Hold the main housing [5] firmly. Slide the battery compartment cover [6] off the main housing. Remove the batteries.
3. Clean the roller holder [2] and the rollers [1]/[8] with the cleaning brush [10] after every application.
4. Place the protective cap [9] on the roller holder [2].
Wipe down other parts with a damp cloth, when necessary.

Replacing the roller attachment

WARNING! Do not use the product if the surface of the roller [1]/[8] is damaged.

Note: Replacement roller attachments can be ordered (see “Ordering accessories”).

When must the roller attachment be replaced?
When you can see signs of damage.
If you need an increasing amount of time for the same result.
Depending on the intensity of use, but generally after 1 year.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.

Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.

Please have the till receipt and the item number (IAN 444856_2307) available as proof of purchase.

You will find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving, on the front page of the instructions for use (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.

You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
