IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.

  2. Do not touch hot surfaces.

  3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs or any electrical parts in water or other liquid.

  4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

  5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

  7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacture may cause injuries.

  8. Do not use outdoors. Household use only.

  9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch surfaces.

  10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

  11. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

  12. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

  13. Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids on the Table Stove since they can get hot.

  14. This appliance has a polarized plug ( one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

  15. Do Not Cook on Broken Cook-Top – If cook-top should break, cleaning solutions and spillovers may penetrate the broken cook-top and create a risk of electric shock.

  16. Clean Cook-Top with Caution – If a wet sponge or cloth is used to wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to avoid steam burn, some cleaners can produce noxious fumes if applied to a hot surface.

  17. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
    Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.

  18. If an extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as electrical rating of the appliance, and (2) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter or table top where it could be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

  19. Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids on the hot surface since they can get hot.

  20. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  21. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Part 18 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
    This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

    • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
    • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
    • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
    • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/ TV technician for help.

Before the first use

  • When unpacking your unit, make sure that you carefully remove all of the packaging materials.
  • Before using the appliance for the first time, be sure that it is placed horizontally at least 4 inches away from all sides of the wall, curtains, etc.
  • Use an individual socket with more than 15A capacity. Never use a universal socket or share a socket with other appliances. If the use of a multiple socket is indispensable assure that those elements respect the limit power. The appliance must be placed on a flat, firm and dry surface. Never move the appliance when it is in use.
  • When using the appliance you can hear a noise due to high frequency electromagnetic waves. This is normal and not dangerous.

Compatible cookware
It’s necessary to use compatible cookware. You may test with a magnet: if the magnet “sticks” to the bottom of the cookware, it is compatible with induction cooktop. You can also refer to the following descriptions:

The bottom of the cookware must be flat. For best performance, the diameter of the bottom should be between 5. 7 inches to 7 inches.

Safety features

  • Over-temperature protection. If the temperature inside the induction cooktop body is too high, the appliance will stop heating.
  • Over current or voltage abnormality protection. When the voltage is abnormal or current changes abruptly, the induction cooktop will stop heating. Once the issues are solved, the induction cooktop will work again normally.
  • Cookware detection system. If the cookware is removed during process, the appliance will stop heating immediately. The appliance will emit a beeping sound and automatically return to standby mode after 60 seconds.
  • Automatic timer shutdown protection. When the time selected is reached, the induction cooktop will shut off automatically.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE

Starting your appliance
After the power cord is plugged in the socket, the cooktop emits a beeping sound and the screen flashes”– –“, indicating that the cooktop is in standby mode.
You can now use it.

Note:
Under any cooking mode, if there is no compatible cookware on the ceramic plate, the induction cooktop will switch off automatically a few seconds later (no more than 60 seconds).

Power/temperature/timer adjustment
To adjust power level, temperature or timer:
Press the + (7) or – (8) button
The indicator lights will display the level you select. Please check the table below for wattage and temperature.

Using the different functions

Preparation Work

1 Clean the cookware and the induction cooktop Please make sure there are no foreign substances such as water and rice grains left at the bottom of the cookware and on the induction cooktop.

Cooking Steps

  1. Function selection
    Select one of the functions from “Power”, “Fry”, “Temp”, the corresponding function indicator light will light up;

    • For Power mode, the heating power can be set at a designated level (refer to the Power/temperature/timer adjustment table at Page 8)
    • For Temp mode, the temperature can be set at a designated level (refer to the Power/temperature/timer adjustment table at Page 8). The heating power will adjust automatically to maintain the designated temperature.
    • For Fry mode, the temperature will be set in 360°F which cannot be adjusted. The heating power will adjust automatically to maintain the temperature at 360°F.
  2. Press Start/Stop button to start
    After selecting the function, press the “Start/Stop” button, the corresponding indicator light lights up, and starts heating.

Note :

  1. Do not heat empty cookware.

  2. When there is no cookware detected, the digital display shows “ ” and ” – ” flashes for notification.

  3. Power level adjustment
    Press the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust the power accordingly.

  4. After the cooking is finished, press the Start/Stop button to stop the heating and the corresponding indicator light will be off.

Pause




| 1  Enable the pause
During the cooking process, press the “Pause” button to pause heating and timer, and the corresponding indicator light lights up.

| 2 Cancel the pause
In pause status, press the “Pause” button,the corresponding indicator light turns off and the cooktop continue heating and timer.
 | 3 Automatic shut-down
The device will automatically turn to standby mode after 10 minutes in pause status.

Timer

Switch off the appliance
To switch off the appliance, press Start/Stop button (6) and unplug it from the socket.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the induction cooktop
Switch off and unplug the appliance. Let it cool down before cleaning. For the ceramic plate and the control panel:

Light dirt: clean with a soft wet cloth.
Oily dirt: clean with a soft wet cloth dipped with little toothpaste or neutral detergent until the removal of residuals.

Note:
Never clean the surface of the induction cooktop with a rigid brush.
For the air entry and the air vent
After a long time of use, some dust or other dirt may be accumulated at the air entry or air vent. Use a soft brush to clean it.
The body of the appliance can be cleaned with caution with a dry cloth.

Note
Never immerse the induction cooktop in the water and do not clean it with a steam cleaner.

Troubleshooting

Problems Points to check
**** After the plug in the socket, the screen does not light up.
  • Make sure that the plug is inserted tightly.
  • Make sure that the switch, socket, fuse and power line are in good condition. You may test it with another device, such as a cell phone charger.

The button (6) lights up but he cookware is not heated at all.|

  • Make sure that the cookware is compatible with induction cooktop.
  • Contact manufacturer customer service

Heating stops suddenly during operation.

  • Let the appliance cool down
  • Clear air entry and air vent – Set again the timer
  • Refer to failure codes


Failure codes

| E6 (overheated)| After a moment, temperature inside the cooktop returns to normal. Power on again, the code disappears and returns to normal operation.
E7, E8 (irregular power input)| After adjusting the voltage, the unit restores its work.
E1, E2, E4, E5, U1, Eb| Contact manufacturer customer service.

Any other services should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Your Guarantee
If this product is found to be faulty as a result of faulty materials or workmanship within one year from date of purchase, it will be repaired free of charge.
This guarantee is subject to the following terms:

  • Sunpentown must be notified of the fault.
  • Proof of purchase must be presented to Sunpentown’s nominated representative.
  • The warranty will be void if the product if modified, misused or repaired by an unauthorized person.
  • The warranty after repair will not be extended beyond the original one-year period.
  • All replacement parts will be new or reconditioned.
  • Parts, which are replaced, become the property of Sunpentown.
  • The warranty applies for the use of the product in the USA only.

What is NOT COVERED:

  • Warranty does not include freight charges.
  • Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with this product.
  • Damage to product caused by improper power supply voltage, accident, fire, floods or acts of nature.
  • Failure of product resulting from unauthorized modifications to the product.
  • Improper installation or failure to perform the necessary maintenance.
