Important Safety Instructions

WARNING

  • To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
  • This appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no object filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

1. Read Instructions – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated.
2. Retain Instructions – The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Importance of all warnings – All warnings on the television and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
4. Follow Instructions – All operating instructions should be followed.
5. Do not use this television near water – The television should not be used near water or moisture -for example, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool etc.

6. Use only dry cloth for cleaning.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produces heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs and at the point where they exit from the television.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the television. When a cart or rack is used, use caution when moving the cart/television combination to avoid injury from tip- over.
13. Unplug the television during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Get your servicing from qualified personnel, Servicing is required when the television has been damaged in any form, such as power supply cord or damaged plug, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen on the television, the television has been exposed to rain or moisture and hence does not operate normally, or has been stopped working.
15. Caution: These servicing instructions are for use of qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.

16. Do not install this equipment in a closed space. Keep it in well ventilated conditions at open site. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
17. Caution – To prevent electric shock hazard, please replace grille.
18. Please refer the information on rear enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the television.
19. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this television to rain or moisture.
20. The television shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the television.
21. For the terminals marked with symbol of” i “may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The external wiring connected to the terminals require installation by an instructed person or the used of ready-made leads or cords.
22. To prevent injury, use the stand/ wall- mount bracket to securely install this television on the table/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.
23. Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. The battery (battery or batteries or battery pack) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
24. Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. Listening to music at high volume levels and for extended durations can damage one’s hearing. In order to reduce the risk of damage to hearing, one should lower the volume to a safe, comfortable level, and reduce the amount of time listening at high levels.

25. The appliance coupler is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
26. When not in use and during movement, please take care of the power cord set, e.g. tie up the power cord set with cable tie. It shall be free from sharp edges and the like that can cause abrasion of the power cord set. When put into use again, please make sure the power cord set being not damaged, if any damages found, please look for the service person to replace the power cord set specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original one.
27. Attention should be drawn to environmental aspects of battery disposal.
28. No fire objects such as lighted candles should be placed on the television. To prevent the spread of fire, keep fire objects or other open flames away from the television at all times.
29. If the television has the symbol [QI in its rating label and the power plug has two pins, it means that the equipment is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been designed in such a way that it does not require a safety connection to electrical earth. (Only for Class II appliance)
30. The following information are recommended to be included as far as applicable where applicable:

Warning for television containing Coin I Button Cell Batteries

(Below instruction only used for the television containing a user-replaceable coin/button cell battery).

  • Refrain to ingest battery which can lead to chemical burn hazard. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just2 hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

Positioning the TV

  • Install Display on solid horizontal surface such as a table or desk. For ventilation, leave a space of at least 10cm free all around the set. To prevent any fault and unsafe situations, please do not place any objects on top of the set. This apparatus can be used in tropical and/or moderate climates.
  • Fix the rear of enclosure to wall.
  • Warning: Never place a television set in an unstable location. A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:

1. Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television.
2. Only using furniture that can safely support the television.
3. Ensuring the television is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
4. Not placing the television on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.

5. Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.
6. Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television or its controls. If your existing television set is being retained and relocated, the same considerations as above should be applied.

Mounting on a Wall

  • An optional wall mount can be used with your television. Consult with your local dealer to purchase the recommended wall mount bracket. Carefully attach the wall mount bracket at the rear of the TV. Install the wall mount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. If you are attaching the TV to other building materials, please contact qualified personnel to install the wall mount. Detailed instructions will be included with the wall mount. Please use a wall mount bracket where the device is adequately secured to the wall with enough space to allow connectivity to external devices.

  • Disconnect the power before moving or installing the TV. Other wise electric shock may occur. Remove the stand before installing the TV on a wall mount by performing the stand attachment in reverse.

  • If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized wall mount and contact the local dealer or qualified personnel. Otherwise it is not covered bythe warranty.
    Do not over tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

  • To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the floor/ wall in accordance with the installation instructions.

  • Use the screws and wall mounts that meet the following specifications. Any damages or injuries buy misuse or using an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.

Note:

1. The Pictures are only for reference.
2. For the TV sets with terminals towards the wall, in order to leave enough space to use the terminals, a rubber cushion is needed together with each screw to fix the wall mount. It is a small hollow pillar whose internal diameter is 8mm, external diameter is 18mm and height is> 30mm.

Battery Usage

Improper using of the battery will cause leakage. So please do as the following methods and use carefully.

1. Please note the batteries’ polarity, to avoid short circuit.
2. When the battery’s voltage is insufficient which affect the use range, you should replace new battery . Remove the batteries from the remote control unit if you do not intend to use it for a long time.
3. Do not use different types of batteries (for example, Manganese and Alkaline batteries) together .
4. Do not put the battery into fire, and charge or decompose the battery.
5. Please dispose batteries abide by relevant environmental protection regulation.
6. WARNING : The batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
7. Do not mix new batteries with old batteries. This may cause the batteries to overheat and leak.
8. Failure to match the correct polarities of the battery may cause the battery to burst or leak, resulting in fire, personal injury, or ambient pollution.
9. This apparatus uses batteries. In your community there might be regulations that require you to dispose of these batteries properly due to environmental considerations. Please contact your local authorities for disposal or recycling information.
10. Batteries inside or inside the product shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
11. In Analogue TV and some countries, some remote control buttons may not work.

Understanding your TV

Rear Side Connectivity

LED TV

USB Interface: Insert a compatible thumb drive for image, audio & video playback.

RJ45 LAN: Plug in network RJ45 plug to connect to an external modem or network access equipment.

AV Input: The AV IN sockets can be used to connect a range of equipment, including AV IN AUDIO video recorders, camcorders, satellite receivers, DVD players, or gaming consoles. THE VIDEO IN socket provides composite video connection.

Earphone Out: This socket is used to connect Headphone/L-R out with TV to Hometheatre or Headphone.
HDMI 3/HDMI 2/HDMI 1 Socket (Input): The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) socket can be used to connect with a HDMI-PC with a compatible video card, certain DVD players or an HD compatible digital satellite decoder. This socket provides an uncompressed digital connection that carries both video and audio data by way of an integrated mini-plug cable. ARC (Audio Return Channel) function is only supported on HDMI 2 (ARC) port for this model.

RF/ANTENNA IN Socket (Input): Lets you connect a coaxial cable to receive the signal from your antenna, cable or cable box

OPTICAL OUT: Connect to an external digital audio device.

Magic Remote Control

How to pair the Magic Remote Control

To use the Magic Remote, first pair it with your TV.

1. Put batteries into the Magic Remote and turn the TV on.
2. Point the Magic Remote at your TV and press the  Wheel (OK) on the remote control.
3. If the TV fails to pair the Magic Remote, Pressing and holding the button will let you cancel and re­pair Magic Remote at once.

How to unpairthe Magic Remote Control

Press the (BACK) and (HOME) buttons at the same time, for five seconds, to unpair the Magic Remote with your TV.

How to use Voice Co mmand

 Press and hold to give command through ThinQ Al.

 Press and hold to give command through Alexa.

Resetting Lost Password

The initial password is set as “0000”.

If you lose the password you set, you can reset it as follows:

1. Press the  button on the remote control.
2. Select + General + Safety.
3. Press (Programmes)  (Programmes) (Programmes) (Programmes) on the remote control. The master password input window will appear.
4. Enter the numbers “0313” in the master password input window, then press Enter. The password will be reset to initial “0000”.

Network Connection

To access the internet, you must subscribe high speed broadband internet service from your internet service provider Your TV can be connected to your home network in two ways:

  • Wired, using the RJ45 (LAN) connector on the back panel.
  • Wireless, using the internal wireless or external wireless USB adapter and your home wireless network.

Note: This function is not available for certain models. Instructions below are just the usual ways to connect your TV to the wired or wireless network. The connection method may be different depending on your actual network configuration. If you hove any questions about your home network, please refer to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Connecting to a wired network

To connect to a wired network:

1. Ensure you have:

  • An ethernet cable long enough to reach your TV
  • A router or modem with an available Ethernet port
  • A high-speed internet connection
  • An Ethernet (LAN) port on the back of the TV

2. Connect your ethernet cable to the router and to the Ethernet port on the back of the TV.
3. Use the Network Settings to configure the TV.

Connecting to a wireless network

To connect to a wireless network

1. Ensure you have:

  • A router broadcasting a high-speed wireless signal
  •  A high-speed internet connection

2. TheTV set withWi-FiModule.
3. Use the Network menu to configure the TV.

Note: Some models may have internal wireless module, then the wireless USB adapter is unnecessary. Some external wireless adapters cannot be compatible with the TY.

Troubleshooting

1. No image display and no sound is produced
  • Make sure the AC power cord is securely plugged in to the wall outlet and the TV.
  • Make sure the wall outlet is working & Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.
  • Try pressing the POWER button on the TV to make sure the problem is not the remote. If the TV turns on, refer to “The remote control does not work” below.
  • Check cable connections (remove and reconnect all cables connected to the TV and external devices).
  • Set your external devices’ (Cable/Set top Box, DVD, Blu-ray etc) video outputs to match the connections to the TV input. For example, if an exter n a I device’s output is HDMI, it should be connected to an HDMI input on the TV.
  • Make sure your connected devices are powered on.
  • Be sure to select the TV’s correct source by pressing the SOURCE button on the TV remote.
2. Cannot control the TV with remote control
  • Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again
  • Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control
  • Check if the batteries are drained out (leakage, spring rusty)
  • Check for IR interference from other devices like CCFL, Tube light, etc.,
  • Use of sub-standard batteries in TV remote may lead to leakage and permanent damage to remote.
  • Remove batteries from remote if not using it for long time.
  • Clean the transmission window located on the top of the remote control
3. TVturnsoffsuddenly
  • Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted
  • T V w i l l t u r n o ff a u t o m a t i c a l l y a f t e r 10/20/30/60/90/120/180/240 mins when sleep timer is enabled
  • Check for electrical supply interruption (Switch, Fuse, MCB, etc.,)
  • Check if too many electrical devices plugged into a m u l t i p l e e l e c t r i c a l o u t l e t c a u s i n g s p a r k s (Recommended to use standard power socket)
  • Check if there is no signal from external device (STB/DVD/Blu-ray player)
4. TV Cleaning
  • While cleaning the TV screen, unplug the power and wipe it with a soft cloth.
  • Applying excessive force may cause scratches or discolouration.
  • Do not spray water or cleaner directly on to the TV screen
  • Make sure to spray just enough of water or cleaner on to a dry cloth to wipe the screen
  • Make sure to wipe off excess water or cleaner by the cloth
5. TVAudio
Problem Possible Solution
No sound is produced while images are displaying •  Press volume+/- button

•  Check if the sound is muted by pressing mute
•  Scroll to other channels. There may be a problem with the broadcast
•  Check if the audio cables are connected properly
Source One of the speakers produce noises or does not produce sound| •  A change in ambient humidity or temperature may result in an unusual noise when the product turns on/off
•  There is no problem with your product.
Low sound| •  Check the 1V and source volume level (5TB, DVD player, etc.)
•  Check auto volume function on/off
Cracking Sound| Cracking sound coming from 1V in ON or OFF conditions is not a problem or defect. This sound is generated by thermal contraction & Expansion oflV Cabinet. This is caused due to environment changes in Temperature, Humidity. This is common phenomenon & property of plastic materials

Our representative explain them about process of disposal and make them aware about nearest drop point available to drop the e-waste and also give information about incentive that we will offer to them against their end of life product. If any customer wants to handover the material from their door steps we do send either our logistics team or Recycler / Dismantler team to collect the items and channelize the same to our e­waste partner plant for final processing.

Do’s:
  • Always look for information on the catalog with your product for end-of-life equipment handling.
  • Ensure that only Authorized Recyclers repair and handle your electronic products.
  • Always call our E-waste Authorized Collection Centres I points to dispose products that have reached end-of life.
  • Always drop your used electronic products, batteries or any accessories when they reach the end of their life at your nearest Authorized E-Waste Collection Centres I Points.
  • Always disconnect the battery from product, and ensure any glass surface is protected against breakage.
Don’ts:
  • Do not dismantle your electronic Products on your own.
  • Do not throw electronics in bins having “Do not Dispose” sign.
  • Do not give e-waste to informal (Kabbadi) and unorganized sectors like Local Scrap Dealer/Rag Pickers.
