Product Usage Instructions
Core Switch Configuration:
- Log in to the Netgear M4250 AV web interface using default credentials.
- Create a new secure password and username.
- Set the switch to a static IP or DHCP reserved from the DHCP server in the Main UI under System Information.
- To save settings, click the Apply button in the upper right corner.
- Log out of the Main UI.
- Log in with the new credentials to the switch’s new IP address on the AV UI.
- Select Network Profiles from the main menu.
- Click on Configured Profiles, then select `Edit’.
- Set Profile Template to Video and click `Apply’.
- Click Save at the top of the screen.

INTRODUCTION
The Pulse-Eight OneIP Transceiver is an ultra-low latency, AV-over-IP solution capable of distributing UltraHD 4K HDMI 2.0 video (18Gbps), with support for HDR, over a 1Gbps Ethernet network. The following is a step-by-step tutorial for configuring the Netgear M4250 AV Line series switch for use with Pulse- Eight OneIP Transceiver (TRX) units. Please follow the instructions below before connecting any OneIP devices to the switch.

IMPORTANT NOTES!
Do NOT connect any OneIP devices to the switch before configuration is completed, doing so may cause the switch to run slow or crash due to multicast data flooding the network. It is important to block multicast data on the port connected to the wider network when using the Netgear M4250 AV Line switches.
CORE SWITCH (OR SINGLE SWITCH) CONFIGURATION
Log in to the Netgear M4250 AV web interface. The Netgear M4250 switches are set to DHCP by default; to find an IP address, you need to scan the network or check the DHCP server; if no DHCP server is available, the switch will default to 169.254.100.100.
- Log in to the Web UI. The default credentials are admin and leave the password blank.
- Create a new secure password and username.
- Set the switch to a static IP or DHCP reserved from the DHCP server. This needs to be done in the Main UI under System Information.
- To save the settings, click the Apply button in the upper right corner of the screen. The switch will now apply the new IP settings and be on the a static or reserved address.
- Now, log out of the Main UI.
- Using the login and password you have created, navigate to the switch’s new IP address and log into the AV UI.
- Select the “Network Profiles” from the main menu.
- Under “Configured Profiles” click the 3 dots on the right-hand side, and select ‘Edit’.
- Set “Profile Template” to Video and click ‘Apply’.
- At the top of the screen click “Save”
This is the switch configured for use with OneIP, and the units can now be plugged into it.
