DOMESTIC LEADING EDGE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
- Make sure that the cover fits the pool correctly – trimmed to size to avoid overhanging coping and any other obstructions.
- Put the front of the cover on a hard level surface.
- Unroll the leading edge.
- The leading edge mesh may be too long depending on the size of the cover. If the mesh needs trimming, line it up with the cover centrally so that you are trimming it equally from both ends.
- Sandwich the cover between the jaws of the leading edge mesh (so that one layer of mesh is above the cover and one layer underneath).
- Find the centre of the cover and fit the first 3 press fix connectors through the cover and both layers of mesh, pressing tightly as shown.
- Fit the press fix connectors working outwards towards the edge of the cover, with 3 press fix connectors at tow points as shown. Press fix connectors are spaced every 0.3m, pre-punched.
- Insert the logs and trim accordingly.
- Attach the main tow rope and test leading edge.
- Before using the leading edge, make sure that the cords are not twisted thus keeping tension on all three pulling points even.
PLEASE NOTE –
Once press fix connectors have been pressed together, please do not undo them
unless necessary, this can cause them to lose grip if they have to be re-used.
Please do not undo the slidelock clips unless necessary, they are designed to
grip tighter the more you pull. If undone the plastic will wear and they will
not grip as well.
SHAPED COVERS AND COVERS WITH ROMAN ENDS
If the cover is shaped or has a roman end then the leading edge can be
attached to the underside of the cover, pinch the 2 flaps together and fit
both to the bottom of the cover with the press fix connectors in the normal
way.
For covers with roman ends you will need to line up the front lip of the
leading edge with the end of the main cover area. For shaped covers you will
have to offset the leading edge into the cover (a suitable distance) keeping
it parallel with the reel system.
Leading edge is available in blue or black with most parts supplied in the
relevant colour. Hooks and ring are only supplied in black.

TOOLS REQUIRED
- Tape measure
- Sharp knife/scissors to cut mesh and logs
- Screw Driver or punch to puncture holes through cover or mesh
