Caution! Prevent from getting burnt. Make sure to check hot water temperature by hand before taking a shower. You may be scalded by the hot water.
If a mixing tap is used, close the hot water tap first. If a water tap is closed first, hot water will remain in the water piping system. You may get burnt by the hot water remained in the piping system in your next use.

When a mixing tap is used, make sure to return the change over lever to the original position. You may get burnt by hot water if the lever is positioned in the half way.
DO NOT use inflammable like gasoline and benzene near the heater. A fire may be caused.

When hot water is used, make sure that hot water temperature will not be changed by persons other than user. If the hot water temperature is changed in the middle of the use, you may get burnt. If the heater is turned off in the middle of the use, you may have the risk to be injured.

Caution! Prevent From Getting Burnt.

When the mixing tap is used, there may be a case that you will get burnt if the other

hot water tap in the same hot water piping system is opened. Hot water may be

sup-

plied suddenly. Make sure to wait for a while and to check hot water temperature

by hand before use.

DO NOT install a covering around the heater. A fire or trouble of the heater may be caused by an abnormal combustion.

WARNING!

Make sure the circuit is not overloaded. If overloaded, it may generate heat and cause fire.

Do not forcefully pull out the power cord and power plug. A loosened power cord may cause fire or electric shock.

DO NOT damage power cord and plug. If damaged cord or plug is used, electric shock, short
circuit or fire may occur. P.5

Warnings & Safety Precautions
Installation or relocation of the heater must be done by a Registered Gas Installer. If the heater is not transported or installed properly, electric shock, short-circuit or a fire may be caused. CAUTIONS! DO NOT use the heater for purposes other than supplying hot water for bath and shower. If the heater is used for other purpose, a fire or a trouble of the heater may be caused. DO NOT touch a flue duct during operation or right after the heater is turned off. DO NOT touch. You may get burnt.
DO NOT ride on the heater or place anything on the heater. You may get burnt or injured and the heater may be damaged.
DO NOT install the heater on a vehicle or a vessel. The heater may fall down to cause a fire or an injury.
Make sure to close the main gas and water valves, to plug out the heater and to confirm the heater is cooled down before inspection and maintenance. A burnt and a trouble of the heater may be caused. Make sure to confirm that the heater is grounded. If not grounded, an electric shock may be caused by an electric leakage. DO NOT modify the heater. DO NOT disassemble. The heater may have problems.
P.6

Warnings & Safety Precautions
DO NOT drink water kept in the heater nor use it for cooking. Your health may be damaged.
Close hot water tap at the time of power failure. When the power failure takes place during operation, the combustion stops and hot water becomes cold. Turn off the main switch and close the hot water tap at the time of water suspension. The heater may be damaged. If the lukewarm water cannot be supplied during summer, increase the water volume. When the hot water is supplied, there may be a case that hot water temperature becomes very hot by decreasing water volume. Turn off the main switch after use. If not turned off, the heater may operate when being played by children. DO NOT use optional components and accessories than specified. A trouble of the heater may be caused. When a mixing tap is used, sometimes let water flow. There may be a case that the cloudy water comes out if the supply water des not flow for a long time. DO NOT unplug during operation. The heater may be damaged. Install the heater away from TVs and radios more than 1.5m. TV or radio program may be hampered by noise.

Troubleshooting

If the heater exhibits any problematic symptoms, please check the heater following the table below.

Symptom No operation (combustion)
Water not warm enough Hot water temperature too high

Items To Check · Is power plug plugged in firmly? · Is main gas valve opened fully? · Is main water valve opened fully? · Is there a suspension of the water supply? · Is there a power failure? · Is their air left in the piping system? · Repeat ignition procedures · Is water filter clogged? (refer to P.13) · Is main gas valve fully opened? · Are hot and cold water mixed properly? · Is the water temperature set too low?
· Is main water valve opened fully? · Is water filter clogged? (refer to P.13) · Is the water temperature set too high?

The symptoms listed below are not defects.

Symptom

Possible Cause

Steam comes out from flue duct on a cold day This is not abnormal. This happens when water in

the exhaust air becomes vapor

Fan rotation sound is heard after hot water supply The blower runs for an additional 30 seconds to

is stopped

cool down the heater and expel exhaust air inside

the heater

Hot water becomes cloudy when hot water tap is This is because air in the water becomes bubbles closed slightly

Bumpy noise is heard when hot water tap is closed This sound is normally heard when water supply is

suddenly

stopped suddenly

When hot water tap is closed slightly, the combustion stops and hot water becomes cold

When water pressure becomes lower than the minimum ignition water pressure, the heater will turn off

Safety devices will be activated when there is something wrong with the heater: 1. Flame on the burner turns off during operation: Flame Failure Safety Device 2. Heater becomes abnormally hot: Overheat Prevention Device
3. Combustion without water supply: Empty Combustion Prevention Device 4. Excess electric flow: Electric Fuse 5. Abnormally high water pressure: Pressure Relief Valve
