Important Safeguards

When using the appliance, please follow below safety precautions:

The following chart indicates the degree of damage caused by the wrong operation.

  • WARNING: Indicates that may cause death or serious injury.
  • CAUTION: Indicates hazards that may cause human injuries or property damage.

The following symbols can distinguish the instruction types that need to be strictly followed.

  • These symbols mean prohibition.
  • These symbols mean requirements that must be followed.

CAUTION

  • Do not operate the handheld garment steamer without the water tank or when the water tank is empty, otherwise it will cause damage.
  • Do not use the appliance with the exception of fabric (e.g. leather). It will cause deformation and decoloration
  • When in use, only clear water can be filled in the water tank. Never fill in any detergent, perfume or chemicals to the water tank, otherwise, it will cause damage.
  • Do not operate the appliance when the power cord is tangled, or let it touch any hot surface, or pull the power cord around sharp edges and corners or close the door on it. Otherwise, it may cause power cord damage.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the power socket before filling or draining the water.
  • When using this appliance on high-grade or special clothes, please try it in a hidden place first and follow the garment symbol.
  • Grasp the plug itself when plugging in or unplugging the appliance, do not grasp the power cord.
  • Do not operate the appliance in the following places:
    • Humid environment or near water
    • Near heat sources such as electric ovens, induction cookers and fire
    • Near inflammable or non-resistant to heat objects (e.g. curtain and towel etc.)

WARNING

  • After use, please unplug the appliance and let it cool down before moving, cleaning or checking.
  • To avoid danger, please read all instructions carefully before use. Misuse can cause potential injury.
  • Before connecting to power, make sure the rated voltage on the appliance corresponds to the local voltage. Please make sure the appliance is connected to a suitable power socket with an earth wire.
  • To avoid burns, do not put your face or hands near high-temperature parts such as steam vents during or immediately after use. Do not touch the high-temperature part just after use, as there is still residual heat.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
  • Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. Never clip, modify, stretch or twist the power cord.
  • Please be careful when using the appliance due to the emission of steam.
  • Do not use the same socket with other high-power consumption appliances or use an extension cord beyond its capacity to avoid power overload and causing fire.
  • Never allow children to operate, clean, or perform maintenance on the appliance alone or play as toy. Please put the appliance and its power cord in a place not reachable by children.
  • Make sure the plug is dry before use.

CAUTION

  • Do not touch, plug in or remove the plug with wet hands, it can cause an electric shock.
  • Do not attempt to modify the appliance by yourself or repair with any unauthorized parts, otherwise, it will cause hazards and the warranty will become invalid.
  • The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Never immerse the main body, or power cord or plug in water or let them wet, it can cause electric shock or fire.
  • The appliance is intended to be used in households or similar applications such as staff kitchens in shops, offices and other working environments; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments.
  • Always check the condition of the appliance, power cord and plug. To avoid hazards, stop using the appliance immediately and contact Shun Hing Electric Service Centre Limited for checking and repairing if any part is damaged.

WARNING:
Due to the wide variety of essential oils on the market, if you want to use the aromatherapy function of the appliance, please make sure that you have a good understanding of the impact of aromatherapy on clothing materials or use the essential oil that only for garment steamer. Otherwise, it is not recommended to use, so as not to damage the clothes or dye the clothes, the company will not be responsible.

Maintenance, Cleaning, and Storage

Product maintenance

Remove water scale
Since water in different areas contains different amounts of minerals, some areas may contain higher mineral contents in water. Mineral buildup is a common phenomenon for garment steamers. Mineral residue inside the steam hose and heater can cause intermittent steam, or in some cases no steam at all. It is recommended to remove the mineral build-up every month according to below procedures:

  1. Before maintenance, remove the plug from the power socket.
  2. Let the appliance cool down, and drain all the water from the water tank.
  3. Mix a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water (capacity is around 80 ml). Slowly pour the water-vinegar solution into the water tank.
  4. Turn on the steam mode of the appliance for 5-6 minutes, then turn it off.
  5. Allow the appliance to cool down for approximately 30 minutes. Remove the drain plug and drain the solution from the water tank.
  6. Fill clean water into the water tank, then drain off. Repeat this step until the vinegar smell disappears. Cover the drain plug back.
  7. Reassemble the appliance with a water tank before use again.
Regular Cleaning and Storage
  1. Before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and let the appliance cool down.
  2. Remove the water tank and drain all the water. Rinse the water tank with clean water and let it dry. Then put it back.
  3. Clean the appliance surface with a damp cotton cloth. Do not rub with harsh cleaning tools (e.g. wire brush).
  4. Do not clean with corrosive or poisonous detergent.
  5. Let the appliance cool down before storage. Put it in a box and store in a dry place.
  6. When stored, never wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance or put any pressure on the power cord. It is to avoid power cord damage.
  7. Clean the aromatherapy box with a soft cloth or paper towel to absorb the essential oil. Do not use detergents to clean the aromatherapy oils in the aromatherapy box, It can damage the appliance.

Assembly and Disassembly Description

Installation and removal of water tank

CAUTION:
To avoid burns, do not install or detach the water tank while the appliance is connected to power or steam is still emitting from the steam vent.

  1. Align the water tank with the groove of the water tank fixing seat.
  2. Twist the water tank clockwise to install it.
  3. Twist the water tank counterclockwise to remove it.

Operation Instructions

  1. Remove the water tank, gently open the drain plug of the water tank, and add water in it. In order to make the steamer more durable, it is recommended to fill it with distilled water or mineral-free water. (Note: Only pour cold water, never use hot water.)
  2. Close the drain plug, please wipe the surface of the water tank, and keep it dry.

3. After installing the water tank, insert the plug into the power socket, the power indicator will light up and flash.| 3. 6. Using the aromatherapy function, you need to open the lid of the aromatherapy box. After adding the essential oil to the groove beside the round hole, please heat for about 5 minutes in the standby state.| 6. 11. When steaming, you can pull the bottom of the clothes with your hands at the same time. Press the steam vent lightly on the clothes and move them up and down to iron the clothes. When using, the steam vent should be vertical to ensure smooth steam output.

Using Tips
  1. When steaming thick clothes or removing stubborn wrinkles, repeat the ironing several times.
  2. Do not leave the appliance in use and unplug it to avoid burns.
  3. During use, it is normal for the pump to make noise or vibration when pumping water from the water tank.
  4. Due to the wide variety of essential oils on the market, if you want to use the aromatherapy function of the appliance, please make sure that you have a good understanding of the impact of aromatherapy on clothing materials or use the essential oil only for garment steamers. Otherwise, it is not recommended to use, so as not to damage the clothes or dye the clothes, and the company is not responsible.

Troubleshooting

Problem Reason Solution
In using the appliance fails to steam or steam is intermittent. The circuit
