Maintenance
It is important to keep the unit as dry and clean as possible. Clean the unit
with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning
agents, such as thinner or similar materials are not recommended, as they may
damage the surface of the case.
Do not allow dirt, sand, small particles, water, or other liquids to enter the
toy’s casing. If the unit is to be left unused for an extended time period,
such as a month or longer, have an adult remove the battery to extend its life
and to prevent leaking or corrosion.
Changing the Batteries
Note: Batteries should always be installed by an adult.
- Use a small Phillips screwdriver to open the battery compartment door located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert three AA (R6) batteries and align the battery’s + and – terminals with the + and – indicators in the battery compartment. screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten the screw.
- Replace the compartment door and tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten the screw.
For the Best Possible Performance
- Only use the recommended/supplied batteries or equivalent.
- Use alkaline batteries for longer life.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc or rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries.
- Insert batteries with proper polarity (+/–) as indicated.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the product.
- Recharge rechargeable batteries under adult supervision.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not open batteries or heat them beyond normal ambient temperatures.
- To prevent battery leakage or damage remove batteries from a product if it will not be used for a month or longer.
- Use extreme caution handling leaking batteries (avoid direct contact with eyes and skin). If battery leakage comes in contact with the eyes, IMMEDIATELY flush the eye with lukewarm and gently flowing water for at least 30 minutes. If skin contact occurs, wash the skin with clear water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if any symptoms occur.
- Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from hazardous or combustible material.
- Do not dispose of batteries in the household trash or fire.
- Follow applicable laws and local regulations for the disposal and transportation of batteries.
- Batteries must be disposed of separately at your local waste recycling center. Do not dispose of them in your household waste bin.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

Demo/Off/On Modes
Demo mode is for in-store use only. To use the toy, slide the switch to the ON position.
- Press the Play button on top of the unit to hear built-in music play and see Groot dance.
- The fun isn’t over when the built-in music ends! During the next 30 minutes, Groot will dance when he detects nearby sounds like music or hand claps– try it! After 30 minutes the unit will shut off to save battery life. To start the cycle again, press the Play button and see Groot dance.
- When done playing, remember to slide the switch to the OFF position.
