**
Safety instructions
- Read the instruction manual carefully before use, and save it for future use.
- Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 220- 240V only, and use the appliance only for the intended use.
- Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when disorder is experienced, when not in use, and before cleaning and maintenance.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.
- Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table.
- The appliance should only be used under supervision.
- WARNING : Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
- The appliance should not be immersed in water or other liquids. Never use the appliance with wet hands and never place the appliance at a wet or damp surface.
- Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply immediately after use, if the appliance is used in a bathroom since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
- Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or his service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.
- The appliance is for domestic use only.
- If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty
Before Use
Before the appliance is used for the first time, read through the instruction
manual carefully and save it for later use.
Use
Make sure that your hair is dry and comb it through. If you have very thick
hair you can use hair clips to separate the hair to make the styling easier.
Plug the appliance. Start the appliance by turning the temperature knob to desired setting, the pilot lamp lights. Choose temperature depending on your hair type, see recommended temperatures below. Always select the lowest temperature level (120ºC) when using the appliance for the first time.
- 120-140˚C – fine, fragile coloured hair
- 140-170˚C – normal hair
- 170-200˚C – thick, dense hair
- 200-230˚C – very coarse hair
Place the appliance on the heat resistant mat (pouch) during hating.
Note! This appliance reaches very high temperatures. Keep the heated parts away from scalp, face, neck and hands. Never use the appliance on wigs, extensions and artificial hair without testing on a thin hair section first, otherwise the hair may melt.
If you like to use the appliance as a curling iron
Hold the appliance by the handle on a safe distance from the skin and eyes.
Use a mirror. Take a hair section of appr. 5 cm between the plates near the
roots. Spread the hair section between the plates, press the plates and turn
it 180 degrees and then draw the appliance toward the ends in a smooth
movement. If you like to curve the ends you just angle the appliance when you
reach the ends. For best result wait until the hair has cooled before you
brush or comb the hair.
If you like screw curls you roll up less hair. The less hair the tighter
curls.
Always shut off the appliance by turning the temperature knob to OFF and pull
the plug after use.
If you like to use the appliance as a straightener
Hold the appliance by the handle on a safe distance from the skin and eyes.
Use a mirror. Take a hair section of appr. 5 cm. Spread the hair section
between the plates and close the appliance. Draw the appliance from the roots
through to the ends. Never hold the appliance still. For best result start at
the roots and work your way to the hair ends. Always shut off the appliance by
turning the temperature knob to OFF and pull the plug after use.
Auto shut off
This appliance has a safety function that makes it shut off automatically
after ca 1 hour. This auto shut off function is meant as an extra safety
precaution, so remember to shut off the appliance by turning the temperature
knob to OFF and unplug the appliance after use.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Turn off the appliance by turning the temperature knob to OFF, the pilot lamp turns off. Unplug the appliance and let the appliance cool completely on the enclosed pouch before cleaning. Make sure that the appliance is out of reach for children. The appliance gets very hot during use and it will take time for it too cool.
- Note that use of chemicals may damage the coating of the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance or cord in water or other liquids. It must never come in direct contact with water.
- Do not let water escape under the cover.
- Dry the appliance cover and appliance with a damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Don´t wind the cord around the appliance.
- Make sure that the appliance has cooled completely before storage.
- Store the appliance on a dry safe place away from children after use.
Disposal of the appliance
Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

materials or workmanship during 2 years within Sweden, Norway, Denmark and
Finland, starting from the initial date of purchase or delivery date.
This manufacturer’s commercial guarantee covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labour. At OBH Nordicas choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. OBH Nordicas sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
OBH Nordica shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not
accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. The defective product may be
returned to the store of purchase.
This guarantee applies only for products purchased and used for domestic purposes and will not cover any damage which occurs as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow OBH Nordica instructions, or a modification or unauthorised repair of the product, faulty packaging by the owner or mishandling by any carrier. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, or the following:

using the wrong type of water or consumable

mechanical damages, overloading
-
damages or poor results specifically due to wrong voltage or frequency as
stamped on the product ID or specification -
ingress of water, dust or insects into the product
-
scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions for use)

damage as a result of lightning or power surges
-
damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
-
accidents including fire, flood, etc
-
professional or commercial use
Consumer Statutory Rights
OBH Nordica’s commercial guarantee does not affect the Statutory Rights a
consumer may have or those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor
rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product.
This guarantee gives a consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.
