and Charger

For the use with Braille 12v Lithium Batteries only SKU#: 1236L

OPERATION FOR CHARGING & MAINTENANCE:

A. Connect charger to a 110/220 VAC wall socket (Red & Green LED will illuminate)
B. Connect DC output cord to battery terminals or connector
C. LED1 is red all the time (power), LED2 is red when CHARGING.
D. When LED2turns “green”, battery isfullycharged &in “maintenance mode” for storage or when not used regularly.
E. Keeping battery at or near 100% results in maximum life.

FEATURES:

A. Short circuit protection, charge output will not enable and will not spark if terminals touched together.
B. Overload protection, current-limited.
C. RPP “ Reverse polarity protection”, connecting a battery in reverse does no damage to charger. Fused design.
D. Automatic multi-rate charging, CC/CV profile with Pre-charge @1.8a.
E. Simple Two LED display; LED1 Red (AC Power on), LED2 Red (charging) and Green (full).
F. Low voltage protection, charger will not enable if battery’s voltage is below safe charging thresholds. CONTACT Braille Battery for support.
NOTES:
A. Designed for Braille Lithium batteries only, never on lead/AGM batteries.
B. In Case battery is FullyDischarged: Damage can occur when any battery is discharged below 10 volts (considered 0% on 12v lithium battery). If this occurs, charger has precharge/revival mode (flashing LED2) to slow charge back to 10v, testand then charge at 6 am psto full. (assuming no damage)
C. To calculate charge time you must take the battery amp hourand divide it by the Charger Amp hour output which will equal the amount of time to fully charge based on a 0% level of the battery. Example: (15 amp battery =10 amp charger = 1.5 hours to full charge from 0%)
D. If battery does not get back to full charge (Green) in the amount of time calculated, then there is likely damage, disconnect charger. Charging longer will NOT get it charged, if damaged. CONTACT Braille Battery for support.
E. Always place the charger in a well-ventilated and dry environment
F. Do not cover or seal the charger, the aluminum housing is the heat sink to properly cool the charger.
G. Charger is thermally protected, Certain model chargers the fan will operate only around 40°C or 104°F degrees.
H. Only use a proper heavy duty extension cord.
I. CHARGER WARRANTY CAN BE MADE VOID ALONG WITH THE BATTERY WARRANTY IF ANY MODIFICATION HAS BEEN DONE TO THE CHARGER THAT RESULTS IN FAILURE (ie: CHARGER ENDS, “QUICK CONNECTS”, FAN MOD, CABLE EXTENSION, ETC)
