Sloped Fencing
Note that this style of fencing is designed to be installed on a level
surface. It is not designed to be angled to follow slopes.
Installing Aluminum post with Vinyl Gate
- Determine if the gate will be installed on an existing foundation surface or in-ground.
- For surface mount installation (existing foundation) use a 6’ (190 cm) heavy duty gate post and heavy-duty post base. Follow the steps in the fence guide for the base and post installation.
- For in-ground installations (NO existing foundation), use an 8’ (244 cm) heavy duty gate post. Follow the steps in the fence guide for the post installation. Let the concrete dry completely before installing the gate.
- Attach the bottom rail using the hinges to secure onto one gate post.
- Install the vinyl panels sliding them one at a time and fitting them into the post channel with the tongue facing away from the post.
- Install the top rail, carefully securing in the vinyl panels using the hinge to secure rail to the gate.
Install Vinyl Aluminum Gate
- Install the gate posts in the same method as installing the standard vinyl fence posts.
- Using the PVC glue secure the cap to complete the gate post.
Gate Latch and Handle
Attach the latch striker bar to the gate, on the swinging side of the gate.
Attach the latch catch to the post where the post meets the latch bar once the
gate is closed.
Attach the handle on the exterior of the gate frame, not on the panel board,
with screws.
