VA144B Easy Edge Rubber Ramps
Fitting and Maintenance Instructions
Please read this manual before operation for installation instructions and
safe usage of this ramp.
CAUTION!
Ensure you always carry out risk assessments for possible risks before the use
of this product.
If used outdoors, please note ramp may be slippery if wet or icy.
Use a lap strap for safety on a wheelchair or scooter.
Always check the wheelchairs/scooters owners’ manual regarding the safe
incline for any particular chair.
N.B. This equipment must be installed by a competent person.
USING YOUR RAMP
- The ramp should be positioned flush against the threshold on the interior or exterior.
- Select the right ramp size and height to suit the location.
- Ensure the gradient of the ramps is not beyond the ability of the wheelchair or occupant.
- Ensure the ramp is safe before use.
MAINTENANCE & SAFETY
- Keep your ramp clean of any dirt or debris.
- Always use the ramp in line with your wheelchairs/scooter manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Only clean your ramp with mild detergent.
PERMANENT INSTALLATION OF RAMP

Clean and dry the substrate.

Dry fit the ramp by placing it flush against the threshold.

Cut notches into the ramp as necessary to fit (Figure 4).
WARNING: Do not use a power circular saw to cut ramp product. -
Use Painter’s tape to outline the rap (Figure 1).

Remove the ramp (Figure 2).

Using a caulking gun, generously apply adhesive onto the substrate near the tape (Figure 3).

Apply pressure to the ‘toe edge’ and squeeze the adhesive out onto the tape.

Place heavy objects(i.e. sandbags) on the ramp overnight.

When adhesive is dry, cut off any excess adhesive with a utility knife.

Remove tape (Figure 5).
