PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

BEFORE INITIAL USE

  • Remove all packaging materials and check the device and accessories for damages.
  • Clean the device as described under Cleaning and care. Heed all safety instructions while doing so.

  1. Read through all instructions before use.
  2. When passing this device on to third parties, this operating manual must also be handed over.
  3. This device complies with technical standards and the relevant safety requirements for electrical devices.
  4. The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damages arising from improper use or failure to comply with the instructions in this operating manual.
  5. Before first use, please check whether the type and mains voltage match the specifications on the nameplate.
  6. A residual current circuit breaker with a residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the house circuit offers additional protection. Consult an electrician for information on the device and installation.
  7. Use the device only for its intended purpose.
  8. This device is for indoor use only.
  9. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  10. Risk of electric shock! Do not submerge the product in water.
  11. Do not use the device if it is damaged. To avoid hazards, defective components must only be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department, or similarly qualified persons.
  12. Do not open the device. Do not insert any foreign objects inside of the outer casing.
  13. Never touch the power plug with wet or damp hands.
  14. Do not operate this device with wet hands or when standing on a wet floor.
  15. Regularly inspect the power plug and cord. If the power cord of this device has been damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s customer service, or by a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards.

  27. The blades may not be resharpened. The blades were balanced exactly by the manufacturer. If the blades are no longer in balance, the device may be damaged and pose a risk to the user.
  28. Do not operate the device when empty. This may damage the motor.

HOW TO USE

  • Lift the cover and fill the coffee receptacle with the desired amount of coffee beans. Do not overfill the receptacle.
  • Close the coffee grinder with the cover.
  • Connect the power plug to an appropriate outlet.
  • Push the on/off button to start the coffee grinder.
  • Release the on/off button to stop the coffee grinder.
  • Tip: Coffee aroma is affected by heat. Operate the coffee grinder within as short intervals as possible (max. 30 sec.) to prevent the generation of heat.
  • Disconnect the power plug after use.
  • Open the cover and remove the ground coffee. If the ground coffee is very fine, it may be sticky. Use a wooden tool or a brush to remove the ground coffee.

CLEANING AND CARE

Caution! Unplug the device before every cleaning. Never submerge the device in water or other liquids.
Caution! Do not use alcohol, acetone, benzine, abrasive cleaning agents, etc. to clean plastic components.
Also, do not use any hard brushes or metal objects.

  • Clean the coffee grinder regularly. Old ground coffee residue inside the device can cause oxidation and therefore adversely affect the coffee flavor.
  • Use a slightly damp cloth and, if necessary, a little bit of mild cleaning agent to clean the casing.
  • Make sure that no liquid enters the device interior.
  • Always dry the device after cleaning.
  • Use the brush to clean the blades and the inside of the coffee receptacle.
  • Rewind the power cable using the cable storage.

DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

The European Directive 201435/EU on Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) states that used household appliances should not be disposed of together with unsorted municipal waste. These used devices must be collected separately from household waste in order to increase the percentage of recovered devices and to recycle their parts, with the goal of reducing the negative effects on human health and the environment.
The symbol of the crossed-out garbage can will be stamped onto all devices as a reminder of the obligation to put them in a separate garbage collection. Consumers must consult local authorities or the vendor to inform themselves about the manner in which their device should be disposed of.
When the device has reached the end of its service life, make it defective by disconnecting the power plug from the socket and cutting the cord in two.
