Product Usage Instructions

Setup:

1. Charge the Bluetooth adapter using the included micro USB cable.
2. Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.
3. Pair the adapter with your Bluetooth-enabled device by following the device’s pairing instructions.

Connecting to a Device:
Ensure that the Bluetooth adapter is in pairing mode. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select the Creative BT-W6 from the list of available devices to pair.

Usage:
Once paired, you can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the connected speakers or headphones.

FAQ:

• Q: How do I reset the Bluetooth adapter?
  A: To reset the Creative BT-W6, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the LED indicators flash.

• Q: What do I do if the Bluetooth connection is unstable?
  A: Ensure that there are no obstructions between the Bluetooth adapter and your connected device. You can also try re-pairing the devices.

• Q: How can I check the battery level of the Bluetooth adapter?
  A: The battery level of the Creative BT-W6 can be checked on your connected device under Bluetooth settings.

AUDIO CODECS AND BLUETOOTH MODES

Creative BT-W6 supports a wide variety of audio codecs, and will automatically select the best supported codec based on the connected device. By default, Creative BT-W6 will automatically pair via Classic Bluetooth. Both aptX Adaptive codec preference and Bluetooth mode selections can be made through Creative BT-W6 and can also be selected via the Creative app, downloadable on creative.com/support.

Classic Bluetooth

• Codec Selection on the Creative App
  Creative app will automatically detect Creative BT-W6 when connected to the PC. Click on the Bluetooth Devices module to access its settings. If the connected audio device supports aptX Adaptive, the option to select [Low Latency] or [High Quality / aptX Lossless] will appear.

Note: Set playback resolution to 16-bit / 24-bit 44.1 kHz / 48.0 kHz to stream with aptX Lossless codec.

LE Audio

Creative BT-W6 will disconnect to reconnect in selected mode when switching between LE Audio and Classic Bluetooth. The audio codec selected will also switch in accordance to the mode selected.

• GMAP
  Creative BT-W6 supports GMAP, an ultra-low latency audio profile that provides a smooth and lag-free gaming experience, perfect for time-sensitive games and spoken dialogues in movies.

• Unicast Mode
  Unicast lets the user wirelessly connect to a compatible device supporting LE Audio to enjoy high-definition audio streaming.

MICROPHONE INPUT

Turn on microphone input to enable voice chat. When the Auto option is selected, microphone input will automatically activate whenever an application or software requires the use of a microphone. Any changes made will cause Creative BT-W6 to restart.

PS5 / PS4 does not support automatic microphone input activation. Follow the instructions below to manually turn microphone input on / off.

Note: Microphone Input’s LED indication is only available in Classic Bluetooth mode. There is no LED indication when in LE Audio mode.

MASTER RESET

• The LED indicator will flash red to indicate its progress.
• Creative BT-W6 will revert to its default state upon completion.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING: NEW DEVICE

Creative BT-W6 will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode out of the box and will remain in pairing mode for first-time pairing. For subsequent device pairing, manually trigger Bluetooth pairing using the multifunction button. Creative BT-W6 remembers up to four paired devices at a time. When powered on, Creative BT-W6 will attempt to reconnect to the last used device.
Note: When there are 4 devices already paired to Creative BT-W6, a newly paired device will replace the least used device. For example, if the third device is the least used device and you would like to pair a fifth device to Creative BT-W6, the newly paired device will replace third device’s placement.

BROADCAST MODE

Broadcast Mode: Public (Unencrypted)

• The LED indicator will flash white to indicate that it is broadcasting.
• Note that the broadcast stream is unencrypted and any supported device can join the stream if it is within range.

Broadcast Mode: Private (Encrypted)

• Set up private broadcast streams via the Creative app. Private broadcast streams require a password to join. The default password is “000000” and can be changed in app.
