When the signal of a strong electromagnetic field is detected, the built-in buzzer will produce a quick beep sound, and the LED indicator (3) will glow red.

Temperature measurement
Turn the knob switch (13) to the position. Plug the black test lead of K-type thermocouple into the COM jack (12) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (10). Connect the thermocouple probe to the object to be measured. The measurement results are shown in Celsius and Fahrenheit simultaneously.

When using the included K-type thermocouple, temperature measurement range is –40… +260°C / –40… +500°F.

Battery test (TC21 only)
The device allows you to check the actual battery voltage under a load of a certain resistance. Such assessment gives a more accurate battery condition status compared to a voltage measurement without a load. Turn the knob switch (13) to the battery test position and select the appropriate range (1.5V or 9V). Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (12) and the red test lead into the mA jack (11). Touch the positive pole with the red test lead and the negative pole with the black test lead. The measurement results (battery voltage) will appear on the display (4).

  • When measuring a battery in the 1.5V range, a 30Ω load resistance is used.
  • When measuring a battery in the 9V range, a 300Ω load resistance is used.
