Before starting the equipment

The machine is supplied without batteries and without a charger!
Select a point of installation where you can connect the connecting hose with the quick-lock coupling to a water tap (home waterworks or other hose pipe) without the connecting hose being placed under any tension. Make allowance for the length of the connection hose for the cordless hose reel which is 1.5 m. The hose reel must not be connected to and operated from water pipes without a water tap or a stopcock. Select a loca-tion for the cordless hose reel where there is as little direct sunshine as possible.

Fitting the wall bracket (Fig. 4)

  • Danger! Check that there are no electric cables or other installations (such as water pipes) near the drill holes. Make sure that the equipment is secured fi rmly and horizontal to the wall. Use only suitable fasteners on a wall capable of bearing the load.
  • The supplied dowels and screws are suitable for the following: concrete, natural stone with a dense structure, solid brick, solid limestone bricks, solid lightweight concrete bricks and aerated concrete.
  • Arrange for the correct orientation of the wall bracket for you to hang in the hose reel later. We recommend a mounting height of approx. 0.7 to 1.2 m for the wall bracket.
    1. Mark the holes for the wall bracket.
    2. Use a 10 mm drill bit to drill holes in the wall.
    3. Insert dowels (15).
    4. Secure the wall bracket with the fastening screws (13) and the washers(14).

Fitting the cordless hose reel (Fig. 5)

  1. Using both hands, insert the cordless hose reel (1) into the wall bracket (12).

  2. The cordless hose reel can be swiveled through 180°.
Important! There is a risk of pinching between the cordless hose reel and the wall bracket.

  3. Use a matching water connection adapter (16) to connect the connection hose (10) to the water tap.

Adjusting the stopper on the garden hose (Fig. 6)
Undo the screws on the stopper (6) of the harden hose (7) and refi t in the position required. The hose reel is not allowed to be used without a stopper on the garden hose.

Fitting the battery (Fig. 7)

  • Open the battery cover.
  • Press the pushlock button of the battery as shown in Fig. 7 and push the battery into the mount provided. When the battery is positioned as in Fig. 7, make sure that the pushlock button latches in place! To remove the battery, proceed in reverse order!

Charging the battery (Fig. 8)

  1. Take the battery pack out of the equipment. Do this by pressing the pushlock button.

  2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate of the battery charger. Insert the power plug of the charger (18) into the socket outlet. The green LED will begin to blink.

  3. Insert the battery pack (17) into the battery charger (18).

  4. In the section entitled „Charger indicator“ you will fi nd a table with an explanation of the LED display on the charger.

    • The battery can become a little warm during the charging. This is normal.

    • If the battery pack fails to charge, check:

    • Is there voltage at the power socket?

    • Is there good contact at the charging contacts?

    • If the battery pack still fails to charge, please send

    • the charger

    • and the battery pack to our customer service center.

    • To ensure that items are properly packaged and delivered when you send them to us, please contact our customer service or the point of sale at which the equipment was purchased.

    • When shipping or disposing of batteries and cordless tools, always ensure that they are packed individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits and fi res.

    • To ensure that the battery pack provides long service, you should take care to recharge it promptly. You must recharge the battery pack when you notice that the performance of the device drops. Never allow the battery pack to become fully discharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.

Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 9)
Press the button for the battery capacity indicator (A). The battery capacity indicator (B) shows the charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.

  • All 3 LEDs are lit:
    The battery is fully charged.

  • 2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.

  • 1 LED flashes:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.

  • All LEDs blink:
The battery temperature is too low. Remove the battery from the equipment, keep it at room temperature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this means that the rechargeable battery has undergone exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove the battery from the equipment. Never use or charge a defective battery.

Operation

Important: Make sure that the hose is under pressure only during use. When the work is finished, turn off the water supply and empty the hose before winding it up.

Winding out
Important! To avoid damaging the equipment, pay attention to the mark for the maximum pull-out length.

  • Pull out the desired length of hose from the cordless hose reel. The hose can be latched in any position.
  • Important: To prevent damage, pull on the hose or the stopper and not on the spray nozzle.
  • Check if the spray nozzle is closed and then open the water supply.
  • The hose is now ready for use and you can start with your work. Infinite adjustment of the water jet from no water to fine spray and to strong jet is possible by turning the front part of the spray nozzle.

Winding up

  • When you are finished with your work, close the spray nozzle first and then the water supply. Before you wind up the hose, open the spray nozzle again to release the remaining water pressure and take the strain off the hose.
  • Go with the end of the hose back to the hose reel and press the On/Off switch (Fig. 1 / Item 3) in order to start the windup operation. Allow the hose to be fully wound up or stop the hose reel at any position for the length of hose you want.
  • Protection function: The cordless hose reel will switch off automatically if it experiences any resistance. To restart, switch on the hose reel again by pressing the On/off switch (3).
  • If the hose becomes blocked, pull the hose completely out of the hose reel and have it wind up again. Take care to keep the twisting of the hose to a minimum.

Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

The equipment is largely maintenance-free. However, we recommend regular checks and product care in order to ensure a long service life. The inside of the hose reel housing is not allowed to be cleaned with flowing water, especially not at high pressure.
Danger!
Always pull out the battery before starting any maintenance and cleaning work.

Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

Changing the garden hose
If the how reel is already fi tted with a hose, fi rst pull out the hose to the mark.

  • Fig. 10 a: Remove the two screws from the maintenance flap and then flip the maintenance flap from the top to the front. Important! Risk of pinching – The hose reel is allowed to be operated only when the maintenance flap is fitted.
  • Fig. 10 b: Another cover (Item A) should now be visible in the hose reel. If this is not the case, carefully turn the hose reel to the rear. Remove the cover by undoing the screw.
  • Fig. 10 c : Remove the fastening clasp (Item B) from the quick-lock coupling and then separate the quick-lock coupling from the hose reel. To be able to pull the hose out of the hose reel you must also take the quick-lock coupling off the hose.
  • Fig. 10 d: To fi t a new hose, proceed in reverse order. First pass the hose without quick-lock coupling through the opening in the hose reel and into the hose guide. Then feed the hose to the rear around the hose reel.
  • Fig. 10 e: The supplied quick-lock coupling can then be fi tted and the hose can be connected to the hose reel from underneath. To prevent the quick-lock coupling from working itself free, it must be secured with the help of the fastening clasp.
  • Fig. 10 f : Finally, the connection cover and the maintenance flap must be refi tted. After the battery is inserted, the hose can be wound up by pressing the button.
