Preparation:

Always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before use.

Application:

Moisten the inside of the nipple shield with a little breast milk, water, or lanolin nipple cream to help it adhere.
Pull back the edge of the nipple shield and center it over the nipple with the baby’s nose aligned with the tulip-shaped cut-out.

Indication:

Tulips nipple shields are suitable for short-term use to help with latching on and to protect sore, sensitive nipples during breastfeeding.

Use

Always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before use.
Moisten the inside of the nipple shield with a little breast milk or water, or use a lanolin nipple cream i.e. Ardo Care Lanolin, so that it adheres more easily to the breast. Pull back the edge of the nipple shield and centre the shield over the nipple. The baby’s nose should be at the tulip-shaped cut-out so that it is touching the mother’s skin (image 1).
Release the edges of the nipple shield onto the breast (image 2).

Notes:

Wear only when breastfeeding, remove after use and clean according to the instructions. It is recommended to let the nipple shields dry before storing them in the storage box. Stop using the nipple shields if they show any signs of damage. Store the nipple shields and accessories out of the reach of children. Cleaning

Manual cleaning

Before using for the first time and after each time it is used:

Dismantle the product into its individual parts.
Rinse for at least 1 minute using cold tap water.
Clean the components of the product with a commercial detergent and warm water (not over +40°C / 104 °F) and rinse with cold tap water. Make sure that all detergent residues are removed.
Allow all parts of a clean surface to air dry.

Manual disinfection

1x daily after manual cleaning

Make sure there is enough water in the pot in order to prevent damage/deformation.
Boil the parts for 5 minutes.
Allow the parts to cool down and dry on a clean surface.

Check the individual parts for cracks and changes to the surface according to the cleaning and disinfection process. If you dis- cover any changes, dispose of the part affected and replace with a new one.

Disposal:

Harmless, in accordance with local regulations.
